Yandere Dev defends Twitch.

Gonna be honest, I watched the prior video and found the whole rant he went on when he mentioned quote-unquote "those people" incredibly distasteful, especially given the social climate as of late. I was on his side until he went on that bizarre diatribe there directly in the middle of the video.

On that note, summary so I don't have to give his video any views/potential ad revenue?

The Dev admits that he might have been too harsh on his previous video, meaning that any response Twitch would make would not be favourable (either they unban it which means that anyone would bully them to get a game banned, they don't unban it and people accuse them for being petty or they don't say anything and that would make them look bad for not saying anything). So he instead wants to look why Twitch hasn't said anything.

• 1. Twitch has tried to contact YanDev, but for whatever reason he hasn't gotten the message.
• 2. Anti-censorship taken to the extreme where Twitch doesn't want to censor anything, YanDev does say that censoring the game isn't the only option, and he would make "Safe for Twitch" version of the game.
• 3. Twitch really has no clue what to do in this situation (where game developer has disputed the ban on their game).

He then looks at the ban from different perspective, such as the guideline of Twitch doesn't allow games what focus on gore, extreme violence and nudity. And the game was banned when Violence is the Only Option, so it makes sense to ban it then, but the ban doesn't quite work now.

Last point is that since the game is still in development, there might be the problem where Twitch unbans it, but then something is added into the game what would get it banned again. And he can't do anything to the fact that should Twitch trust him or not.

It honestly seems like maybe the best idea for him would be to wait until the game is finally ready to be released officially to contest the ban, so that way everything is set in stone and final and he knows exactly what the red flags are or aren't then. If nothing else, I'm glad he's taken a bit more nuance (though that stuff from the last video still rubs me the wrong way).

Ditch the town and go street. Saves development time and hopefully gives the game an early release.

I really prefer the allowance because it would mean there's strategy not just grinding, but it looks like it's gonna lose. Street > town for functionality, and shops > online buying (but I would accept online buying while the shops aren't done being 3D modelled)

Honestly I think a Point-and-Click Map would work best, particularly if there's any one-off locations needed for certain events.

Erm...I can't say we need feature creep beyond the game's focus on acquiring a senpai.

Whoa. Devoting all of your time to develop the game at the cost of your free time and social life.

I would be down for a Yuri Harem ending. If the developer won't add it in, maybe a really good modder would? After all, why kill your rivals when you can romance them instead?

I'd be down for a yuri harem ending. Or at least the ability to woo one of the rivals (I genuinely like Oka Ruto, she's really cute)

I think what he could do is finish Osana, get a demo ready, then take as much time as he needs to recoup, then get back at it with the Kickstarter whenever he's ready.

Finally some positive progress!

I'll admit, I was really skeptical about this when I saw the title, but when I found out who exactly tinyBuild was, I had a complete 180.

These are the good guys.

I remember coming across the title of this game years ago and seeing said title several times in passing, but only in the last couple of days did I finally get motivated to be properly introduced to the game itself... via the Renegade For Life Let's Play, followed by reading through parts of this site's articles on the game and some articles on the fan-made wiki.

Why didn't I get curious about his game sooner?! XD Add one more fan who's willing to play this game should the opportunity come up!

BTW, here is a Writer's Block thread by yours truly in which I try my hand at turning Yandere from a character archetype/cliche into a consistently defined fictional medical condition, with heavy inspiration from YanSim's Aishi family's brand of Yandere-ness. If anyone has constructive feedback, I would appreciate it.

There's a new build available! This one's looking pretty special, for some reason...

Right now, Yandere-kun is just a buggy experiment in the easter eggs, not even in pre-alpha state. But hey, it's progress! I'm actually pretty hyped about him and hope the dev goes all the way with him.
