As The New '10s are coming close to being halfway over (I feel old already XD), I just thought I'd make this topic.

The 2010s have really contained some really awesome action films. Be them superhero themed, sci-fi, espionage and other spy dramas, apocalyptic fiction, or just straight crime dramas, the action genre has seen quite a few good ones so far this decade. So my question for you guys, is what is one of your favorite action films that have been released in The New '10s. In addition to that, what is a standout action set-piece from that film?

I'll start off with what I consider the best superhero action film of the decade so far:

Yep, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. With some of the best drama and storytelling I've seen in any action film period, alongside arguably the best fight choreography in a film not from the East, how could I not chose it? The above fight scene really showcases the superb fighting imo. No frills, just two super powered soldiers going at it. waii

What about you guys?

Obligatory mention of Mad Max: Fury Road.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation was a great movie in general, as well as a great movie with tons of awesome action and great stuntwork.

I know it is polarizing but I'm going to say Man Of Steel is my favorite action film of the 2010s so far.

Mad Max: Fury Road, John Wick and Kingsman: The Secret Service. That's about it so far.

BTW folks, we're getting a sequel to John Wick.

In no particular order: The Raid films, Mad Max, Kingsman, Fury, John Wick, Dredd, Pacific Rim, Man of Steel, Inception (it's kind of an action film), Looper, Edge of Tomorrow, the last 3 Fast and Furious films, Winter Soldier, both of The Avengers, and probably a bunch of other films I'm forgetting.

John Wick, Fury Road, Kingsmen Edge of Tomorrow and the first Raid were all gud.

Overall I think the "New Wave of Midbudget Action Movies" (a term I just totally made up for mid-ish budget action movies that move away from overindulgence in Micheal Bayhem) is off to a good start

Captain America The Winter Soldier is definitely one of my favourites as well, along with X Men First Class. My favourite scenes in the latter Also Inception and Looper, which feel more science fiction than action - they contain action, but I enjoy them for the stories and characters, not for the action scenes specifically.

X Men First Class is my overall favourite.
