Suggestion: Criminal Procedural

Opening suggestion: Group shot of the Soprano mob from The Sopranos.

They do look seedy enough, but it might take a caption for people not familiar with the show.

It's so-so. Works, but not ideal.

More Sopranos options 1◊, 2◊, 3, 4◊, 5◊. I especially like 3.

7.3's my favourite, too.

I'd like to see criminal action portrayed. Then again, I am not entirely sure what this trope is about.

Works that primarily follow the activities of criminals. There's just a lot of Internal Subtropes.

Then we should show activities just as we try to do with Forensic Drama, no?

Not necessarily. Especially works that focus on organized crime tend not to be so clear, because the guys themselves are not of the Blatant Burglar type. Pretty much only a drug dealer shown plying their trade might work if we want to go in that direction. Perhaps Breaking Bad◊ is more obvious in showing something illegal going on?

I imagine criminals sitting around a table talking business or working out their next heist.

For the second, The Caper also its own trope (and image), so that limits our options a bit.
