People who could get the biopic treatment?

I really enjoyed Straight Outta Compton and The Social Network is one of my favorite movies period. I feel like a Kanye West biopic would be fun to see, chronicling his rise to fame and his eventual descent into megalomania. Donald Glover would be perfect for the role, as he is a rapper, a fan of West himself, and could easily capture the presence of West. Imagine if it opened with his infamous "You ain't got the answers, sway" rant, reenacted by Glover.

Mario Lemieux and yes it might be my western Pennsylvania bias but he was a really great hockey player that was always 2nd only to Wayne Gretzky in the record books. Which is saying something because he was constantly plagued by injuries and even had Hodgkin's Lymphoma and still won the scoring title in 1993 even after only playing 60 games out of 84 of that season.

I don't know which actor I would get to play him.

Vlad the Impaler, the ruthless Prince who went to monstrous lenghts to protect his kingdom from Turkish influence and whose sheer brutality later forged the legend behind Dracula.

Simo "The White Death" Hayha, the legendary Finnish sniper who shot down aproximatedly 500 Soviet soldiers during the Finnish winter War, becoming such a feared man they sent snipers, counter-snipers and an air raid in an attempt to kill him and he survived every turn. It'd be a great psychological war movie, to follow Simo Hayha stalking through the Finnish forests, hunting down Soviets as he philosophizes about his life and the war.

Osama Bin Laden. Man lived an interesting life, growing up in a wealthy aristocratic family, becoming a renowed fighter in the Afghan War, and then eventually forging one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations of history and doing what may be the greatest terrorist attack ever inflicted upon North America, but having a spectacular downfall until he dies a ignomious death, his organization being ultimately eclipsed by another (ISIS).

José Bonifácio, the patriarch of Brazil's Indepence. An abolitionist in 1822, who also greatly respected the Native population and sought to integrate them in modern society, and who pushed for an agrary reform to better redistribute the land amongst the people, and he was also a weapons-grade The Chessmaster, who manipulated the political scene into the path for Independence using only his cunning and sheer audacity.

I'm down for a Simo Haya movie. It's be like Finland's fuck you to American Sniper XD. Canada would probably call dibs on a Mario Lemieux biopic, or at least demand that a French Canadian actor be cast.

A movie about Larry Thorne/Lauri Torni would also be badass and the Americans could eat their heart out with the Green Beret bits.

This might be weird, but after all the massive crap he had to put up with this year, I kinda wouldn't mind seeing a biopic on Hideo Kojima.

[up] On a similar note, why not Iwata now that he's passed?

[up]An Iwata biopic would be cool.

He was responsible for so many games he is the reason Kanto was in Pokémon Gold and Silver.

Stephen Spielberg and John Williams could get one after they die.

George Lucas should get one, and the movie should show Warts and All.

There should be one on Rev. Donald Wildmon. Now granted he hasn't been on anyone's radar in years, but it'd be funny seeing a film based on him, just so the general public can see what a fool he was.

With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptation

I wouldn't mind a Castro movie with the whole Cuban Thaw going on.

I really think a movie about Nancy Spungen would be interesting. But it'd probably be a marketer's worst nightmare, being about a famous real-life Yoko Oh No, the story being a total Tear Jerker, and (especially if told from the point of view of her mother), loads of Adult Fear.

[up] I know there's Sid & Nancy, but I meant a movie that follows her from life to death.

I've always really wanted a Napoleon movie and read that Kubrick had a script ready to go but canned it after Waterloo bombed and made Barry Lyndon instead. I recall reading sometime last year that Spielberg was doing a miniseries based on the Kubrick script though, but that might've just been a dumb rumor.

A Kubrick biopic would be cool in itself.

[up]There are a couple of Napoleon movies, but they're quite old (there are also a couple of more recent mini-series). One of them is even lost.

There's the Abel Gance Napoleon that is one of the most famous silent movies ever made.

Kubrick's Napoleon script is out there on the internet.

Walt Disney would be interesting.

I'd also like to see Sam Walton start as a small business a raise his empire.

[up]Ever see Saving Mr Banks? Sure it didn't give you a full journey through his life from childhood to death, but provided an interesting cross-section his own personal motivations.

As for a Sam Walton biopic, only thing about it that would interest me is the potential controversy over his portrayal. Quite a few people think he represents capitalism at its ugliest and would grind their teeth in rage at seeing him displayed as this honest, caring, self-made man. Y'know, kind of like.........Walt Disney, but even MORE controversial.

Colonel Sanders. I'm serious, I enjoyed The Founder, and reading the useful notes page on KFC leads me to think that a Sanders biopic would be just as well done. Of course, I dont know who could play him (definitely not any of the rotating colonels from the current commercials).

For Colonel Sanders, considering how he actually sounded in real life (considering how the exaggerated version in KFC seems to have eclipsed that):

My guess: Max von Sydow for him in his old age, reminiscing his life. While young(er) Colonel Sanders would be portrayed by Burn Gorman, based on a remarkable physical similarity between them.

I have always felt it's a pity that Ali got the biopic treatment (quite awesomely) in the eponymous film and Will Smith's magnificent performance, but the other two great heavyweights of the era (Smokin' Joe Frazier and Big George Foreman) never got the same treatment. So a film called Smokin' Joe about Joe Frazier's poverty-youth, his friendship-turned-bitter-rivalry with Ali, how Ali turned the black community against him, and climaxing with the Fight of the Century (in which Frazier won and broke Ali's perfect record). I've always thought Anthony Mackie as Frazier would be pretty solid casting.

For George Foreman, I am to this day surprised no one made a movie about his historic comeback in the 90's to become the oldest heavyweight champion in history at a astounding 45 years old fighting men half his age (the guy he won the belt from was 27). It could make for a very heartfelt movie about the effects of old age and a man's legacy, particularly considering George became a Born-Again Christian after a near-death experience and came back into boxing to raise money for the youth centers he opened after his conversion. So there's an element of faith as well.

As for who could play him. I'd say make the movie primarily about his old age but intercalate it with his violent youth. Young Foreman could be played by Mike Colter, while Old Foreman is much harder to pin down (the man acquired a really strange face shape over the years), but I'd guess Andre Baugher (if he packed a unholy amount of muscle).
