Not bad for a conversation starter.
Is that a parody or a plain Shout-Out or other reference?
Check out my fanfiction! The OP works well enough.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"What's it parodying?
The work where the blackboard scene comes from, presumably.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe opening credits◊ to The Simpsons, which we could point out in the caption if necessary.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Requiring the caption sucks, but this is probably the closest we'll get to illustrating the trope. I'm good with it (but would prefer a higher quality version, natch).
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? The only thing similar between the two pics is that both characters are writing lines on the black board (which itself is not a scene specific to either work/source, IMO). I'm still not seeing the "parody" aspect in the OP suggestion. It looks more like a Shout-Out or Homage Shot to me, in any case.
With the simpsons caption, (possibly even a picture of Bart Simpson writing it out too), op works
I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..Perhaps a Self-Parody example like Wormhole X-Treme◊ from Stargate SG-1? Would probably still need a comparison shot for effect.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Self-Parody doesn't have an image, and that would be better there.
Check out my fanfiction!Agreed.
(Annoyed grunt)Do you feel we'd need a second shot for it to make sense on Self-Parody? It's clearly a Show Within a Show, and a caption might be sufficient.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Self-Parody examples aside, I'm sort of inclined to go with BUPKIS for Affectionate Parody; even if the parody is obvious, it's pretty difficult to distinguish "affectionate" parody from "regular" parody in a single pic.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Bump. I'm inclined to agree with no image, here.
(Annoyed grunt)Bump. Anyone agree or disagree with no image?
(Annoyed grunt)I agree that there hasn't been a sufficiently good suggestion for this page.
Check out my fanfiction!Changed my mind; none of the suggestions are good.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? The only thing that has gained some traction is to put 11/14 on Self-Parody. Any other thoughts on that?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"The link isn't working for me, so I can't say.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I think that's a good idea.
(Annoyed grunt)I like the OP's idea for Affectionate Parody because as someone pointed out, it's tough to tell an affectionate parody from a not-so-affectionate one.
And that one clearly is affectionate.
However, the image itself is way too low-quality. Get a higher quality version, and maybe stack it with a Simpsons example◊ and I'm all for it.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Clock is set.
Perhaps Tom and Jerry and Itchy and Scratchy◊?

I was thinking that for the for the main page, this image from Fairly Oddparents would be appropriate. http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/simpsons/images/b/b2/The_Fairly_OddParents_Channel_Chasers.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150119033134
