Suggestion: Slashers Prefer Blondes

Opening suggestion: Freddy Krueger menacing Tina◊ from the opening of the first A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).

Is there a good screencap of the end of the opening dream where he comes up behind her and his glove is clearly visible?

Here's a composition consisting of A Nightmare On Elm Street, Halloween, Psycho, and Scream.

Good start, but the hair colour in 2&3 isn't very distinguishable as blondes.

I can tell that the girl in the Halloween pic is blond. A pic of Ann Heche from the remake of Psycho would be best for that frame if we want to stick with that film.

Really? Because with that sort of lighting, she looks more like a brunette to me.

I can tell it's blonde as well.

Take 2, with Psycho replaced by All the Boys Love Mandy Lane.

That works.

The new panel is an improvement, but the lack of a slasher along with the blond puts it at odds with the others.

I was going to say exactly that.

Then how about Buffy? According to Word of God she was written to turn the trope on its head.
