Right now, Lingerie Scene is admin-tagged to only have an image if it's funny. I think the first panel of this would count well enough to work; thoughts?

I think the concern with a lot of those "no pic" pages wasn't exactly that the chosen image would be bad, it's that any image can be replaced and might escalate into a bad one, and it's better to not have one at all.

I am not totally sold on that concern, but it does seem like that comic panel isn't funny enough to try and refute it.

Well, as a conversation starter it's good, in any case. I'll give it a tentative +1

[up][up] That was indeed the case, which is why for the pages that we've put pics on that were on that list, I've indicated in the IP tag that changing the pic will have dire consequences. I chose this suggestion partly because I thought it was amusing enough to fit the criteria and partly because the cartoony art style dampens the fanservice factor while still clearly getting the trope across. Ménage à 3 (this comic's parent) would be another good source but its art style is very much modeled on Archie Comics which potentially ups the risque factor.

The picture is funny, but I'm not sure it conveys the trope's meaning well.

I mean, this arc is a Lingerie Scene in the scope of this webcomic, but a single panel wouldn't show that. For a person who doesn't read the webcomic, it's just a panel with a girl in lingerie.

Not really keen about the suggested image, and since I don't have a suggestion in mind, I'll vote BUPKIS.

Not sold on the suggested image. I'd like to keep the current notice instead of going BUPKIS though.

[up] Agreed on that latter point.

Would panels 3+4 of the same comic work better for the trope?

[up]Actually, I think it does. I mean, I still get a laugh from those two panels, and it conveys the trope much better. +1

[up][up]&[up]I don't think so. Those panels discuss lingerie photoshoots (which is a specific type of modeling photoshoot), not Lingerie Scenes in media. And while, as I said, it's a Lingerie Scene in the scope of the comic, there's no way to infer that from these panels as well.

Echoing the previous comment: This is a lot more like Toplessness from the Back than what that comic is talking about.

anime has many example, from old school [1] to more recent [2].

Which is the standard for the suitable image?

The admin note specifically states that the pic has to be funny. The last few suggestions are all lingerie and no humor.

The example list has a Beetle Bailey example that at least fits the humor requirements. Does the mention of heating problems make it clear enough that it's an atypical situation?

We couldn't use the entire strip, but the first panel might work with a suitable caption.

Wow, Beetle Bailey's still going?

Anyways, to the point. It an example of this trope, but I doubt the first panel by itself is going to illustrate it; especially for people not familiar with the comic. I'm still leaning to BUPKIS.

I think the only way this would work is if someone found an image of an inanimate object wearing a bra. Until someone suggest something like that, BUPKIS.
