What I don't like about that suggestion (and most other GIS images of other examples I found, prior to this thread's opening) is the fact that it focuses much more on the villain character, rather than the setting, and it would be a much better fit for other Villain Tropes like Evil Overlord, A God Am I or the like.
The current page image for Samurai Jack works perfectly for this trope, but I'm not really liking that logo. Maybe this
