@ Daltar: Very Kingsman. I just wish the backstory had more tie-ins with the established setting. You've made up two or three new companies here, as well as a multitude of side characters, which I don't necessarily want to include in the game. The "Less is More" rule applies in these signups to some degree, since I've already got a whole setting thread.

Outside of that, the sheet is pretty good. I can approve it if you don't mind me not bringing up every figure and event from her past.

Edit: Also, due to her many and varied skills, I would probably relegate Bell to a Jack-of-all-trades pinch hitter; if someone else on the team is more specialized in a skill she has (such as Malware with hacking), they would be the first choice to undertake the challenge.

[This entire thing is in character, besides the rectangular brackets, just for fun]

To Whom It May Concern,

I'm interested in a position at Stygian Technologies, and I believe my skill coupled with your own resources would result in a partnership what would work out well for both parties.

Name: "Vespa" will work just fine. You all know me as that in any case.

Class: Information Specialist

Age: No, I'm not a minor. [19-21. exact data isn't available]

Appearance: 5'10 cybernetically enhanced female. Asymmetric undercut, ear piercings, standard weight, no identifying tattoos or scars.

Abilities/Enhancements: One Al-SEC manufactured cybernetic limb, right. I'd be open to any conversation about implants, interfaces (such as digital) or otherwise you may have to offer in exchange for my services.

Skills

Comms Specialist: Advanced knowledge of communication monitoring/application. The Twilight Hour tv takeover should be a prime example of my skills. Knowledge in using information gathered from communications to predict movement and actions. Can jam signals, reroute communications, and play media to anyone's advantage.

Tracking: Can and will use electronic media, included but not limited to cell phones, email, wireless functions, internet IP's, server traces, and other media to find and locate key individuals.

Information Specialist: Highly proficient in finding and utilizing date, whether personal, financial, social, quantified, encrypted, decrypted, public, private, or otherwise to use for or against someone.

Hacker: Minor hacking skills used for research. There's a reason you're getting this email from the janitor's address.

Close Combat Specialist: Some proficiency with small bladed weapons, including but not necessarily limited to hunting, combat, and butterfly knives.

Small Ballistic Weapons Proficiency: Good with handguns, machine pistols, and submachine guns.

[Perceptive: Vespa is going to notice things others don't; make connections, put things in order, and figure out the truth quickly. This is her main asset, as it's allowed her to be accurate with all the things she's released to the public and gives her the edge needed to put out more material than anyone else out there, as she's a quick thinker and sees things that are connected far before anyone else would. While it won't be something she personally lists among her traits herself, anyone ins Stygian should be able to see this, if they paid enough attention to her before now]

Equipment

Locke and Demosthenes: Dual Landsknecht-manufactured machine pistols. As per the norm, accepts all standard small arms Landsknecht ammunitions, including but not limited to AP, Incendiary, Explosive, Corrosive, Pathogenic, Shock/EMP/Electric, Tracker, Immobilization, and Cryogenic rounds. extended magazines, single, burst, and full automatic firing modes.

Beatrice: One Krepost-manufactured combat knife.

Geist: One Fujin Zaibatsu-manufactured butterfly knife.

Maes: One hand-built information set up. Based off Fujin Zabatsu tech, it has parts from several different companies and interfaces from each (with the exception of Fenghuang. Hell will freeze over before I use their tech). Appears a a backpack with various electronic input-output and interface systems.

As a personal note, if you need me to acquire any new tech or upgrade anything I have, I'm more than happy to talk it over. Doesn't every kid love new toys?

—-

Backstory: Vespa, the well known underground media presence, is a different story all together. Thought-provoking, subversive, and dynamic, the mysterious self-labeled revolutionary has made appearances in all forms of media, from television takeovers to highly radical pirate radio broadcasts. Perceptive, intelligent, and entirely dedicated to the process, her explosion onto the scene after the Twilight Hour Tv Takeover back in 2053 made her a household name overnight. At approximately 12 PM in each American timezone, several major broadcasts were replaced with a simple message in black letters against a grainy, washed out background showing various stock footage of company agents from various parts of the globe in routine action: "do you see?" analysis of the noise present in the video would have revealed a stereograph [pretty sure that's the right word for it] image of a stylized wasp, giving the mastermind both a symbol and an identity, at least, to the companies who monitored her actions. Since then, her messages, sometimes cryptic, sometimes lucid, have become something of a phenomena within the general populace.

Hardly top notch in any field, Vespa keeps her audience, for lack of a better word, interested by playing to many different forms of media; no one knows quite where she will turn up next, and with what information. Somehow, she's exposed information from several larger companies to crippling effects, though Stygian has somehow avoided her scrutiny so far....

Personality:

What is the first impression you tend to give to other people?

First impression? Hard to say, but I get "rough around the edges a lot".

What tactics are you most likely to employ to meet your goals?

Information retrieval, use, falsification, spin-doctoring, propagation, twisting, and exploitation, blackmail, breaking and entering, hit and run hacking, twisting words, using people in any way possible.

What do you think of bionic or genetic engineering?

Long as I don't wake up with anything I didn't fall asleep with, I couldn't care less.

I'd even consider smaller enhancements if you offered.

If applicable, how have your own enhancements affected your life?

There are several messages I'd have never gotten out if I wasn't fitted with an Al-SEC arm. Getting that hard data is a lot easier when busting into a locked office isn't a problem.

What do you think of Stygian Technologies and/or the other major companies?

Hey, I've never done anything to you, right?

When it comes to the other guys, I just need whatever tech will get the job done, aside from those Chinese guys. That stuff will always crap out on you at precisely the wrong moment.

Priorities:

1. Action/Involvement. Question the status quo. make people thing. question what's taken for granted. make wolves out of sheep.

2. Competition. gotta play harder and win more than those artsy-ass hacks who put out nothing but mindless drivel.

3. Money. Hey, I have to eat somehow, and a pay check is a pay check, no questions asked...

I like this character a lot, though I think she might make my job a lot harder if she wants opportunities to play to her skills often.

When she got an AL-SEC arm, I'm guessing you don't mean she went all out, right? (They'd have some subtler bionics than this, this is just sort of the quintessential AL-SEC merc.)

Edit: I guess I should have expected no one would heed the "one word" instruction for their class. Mr. Chun follows the rules.

On the arm; it is in the same vein; i got the sense that Al-SEC would have a more industrial style, so i went with that company, but yes, it's a bit subtler. i have reference if you need it (not quite available right now, but i can get it before tomorrow).

on her skills; that's why she's open to some genetic/bionic upgrades-i realize that my little "art terrorist" here isn't exactly going to be painting the town, so having some more brawn may help everyone.

on class;...she's not a stickler for the rules. but a paycheck is a paycheck....

Vespa,

I must admit I am curious why you have chosen to apply for this job, but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth. We may have a use for someone of your skills right now. You have been scheduled for an interview with a psychologist for your initial assessment at our field agency in California.

Sincerely,
Alectus Fell, Field Supervisor/Handler

This is another intriguing get for Stygian Technologies. Vespa's exposé campaign has been interesting to track, particularly since she has seemed to specifically avoid revealing any unflattering information about Stygian itself, of which there is more than I'd care to admit. I was therefore, until now, under the impression that she was already in our employ; our own secret propagandist. Maybe she has decided she would like to start being payed for the job she has already done. Of course, she could simply be using the position as a means of infiltration, hoping to gather company secrets for the biggest exposé of all.

Hmmm given how what I wanted to make was very specific, the whole melding of British chilvalric knight stories and secret agents like in Kingsman or the Order 1886 as a messed up model of new, ruthless secret agents and there was no British company I felt like I needed to make a new one up. If you wish, De La Croix can be changed to be another company that got fed up with the Camelot folks, like Krepost most likely given that Camelot modus operandi was to strike from the shadows, steal other0s tech and human resources when possible and try to know all secrets which Krepost probably won't like. As for the other ones... Camelot was necessary for the flavor of Bell as a Knight but they are gone already and more than a mayor company like the ones given in the Setting thread, they were a specific organization with a set goal. Their parent company, Noblesse was a means to explain where their resources came and give a place for the remnants to slide back into... but I can change that to say that, say, Camelot was a British offshoot of Landsknetch made in collaboration with the British government of the time if you'd like that more.

As for her varied skills, yups! A lot of the things Bell has as her skills are mere proficiencies and specific practical knowledge. She studied a lot, but to have her diverse array of skills she couldn't specialize in each to become a Master on the field of course. If there is someone that is a specialist in something, they'd be a lot better than Bell at said thing. She can do it, but she's not the best one. If there is something she's more specialized in, it would be general combat as she was trained first and foremost as a weapon and her knowledge of infiltration is more ingrained as she made tons of use of it during her career.

And of course, as GM you're totally free to use or not use the or wish change on the characters I made on her backstory. If you liked the idea of any of them and would like to use them that's great, if not, then of course, I'm not expecting you to.

@ Daltar: Yeah, I think Landsknecht would be an apropriate parent company for Camelot, considering their name and logo. And while Krepost doesn't engage in as much corporate warfare as the rest, if Camelot were a continuing nuisance they might eventually retaliate.

@ ImmortalFaust: The first post on the RP thread between "One Month Later" and "Anastya" applies to all characters, so Vespa is in the office. I'll include her in the last or next post so you can start.

I'm almost done with a cyborg from Landsknecht, you might want to make Camelot part of a different company so that Landsknecht isn't over-represented by cyborgs.

Finishing up, will be doing the changes as soon as they are approved, instead of Krepost it can be Fujin if that suits the lore better, after all they are both into espionage and Camelot would have loved to try and steal the stealth tech from the Japanese company.

As for parent company, I can keep it a made up one or use Landsknecht as it's the company that makes most sense for doing this given Bell's weapon preferences and geographic proximity to England. Your call Stygian.

With this, would Bell be approved?

Yeah, go with Landsknecht. It doesn't seem like Camelot has much to do with its parent company anyway. Give me a minute (hour) to write your acceptance letter.

Edit: Okay. I'll put you in the next main thread post. It might be a while.

Asst. Dr. Jones,

Ah, mindless loyalty. Is it imprisonment, or true freedom? I do not claim to know much about the Lady Bedivere, but the files I have seen - the few parts that have not been redacted - read like the script of a bad movie; I just hope the good King Arthur still suffers. It is my opinion that trading him for her was a mistake, and putting her to use now is less than moral. Nevertheless, this woman takes to bionics like a fish to water, and I cannot feign disinterest in some of her tech.

Name: Incognito Robotic Interloping System (I.R.I.S.) 298-λ, prefers the name “Lamb.”

Class: Assassin.

Age: Artificial Intelligence: 1 year; Current Platform: 3 months.

Appearance: Variable, though always female in appearance. Her most common guise is of a young Slavic woman with shoulder-length white-blonde hair, gray eyes, and willowy features.

Abilities/Enhancements:

Is an AI.

Can alter her facial features, musculature, and skin/hair/eye color/texture via the Synthetic Humanoid Appearance Modifier (SHAM for short) technology developed by Fujin Zaibatsu. Operates via nanites that, using specialized containers within her frame filled with the basic materials, construct, deconstruct, or alter synthetic flesh and muscle. Cannot alter her basic underlying frame.

Her voice modulator is quite advanced and can mimic a variety of accents and tones.

Her frame contain compartments in her extremities for storing weapons

Ocular systems are highly advanced, with the ability to see in ultraviolet and infrared frequencies.

Reactions far outstrip those of humans thanks to her synthetic form.

Skills:

Espionage: when required, she can infiltrate various government and business organizations to gather information or kill with little trace.

Martial Arts: as her frame is suited more for silence than combat, she was programmed with several masteries in various martial arts designed to utilize her speed and precision to utilize her enemies’ strength against them.

Bladesmanship: Skilled with using various bladed weapons. Favors single-edged swords.

Marksmanship: Skilled with handguns of all sorts. Adores gauss weaponry, though admits that traditional kinetic firearms are more efficient.

Equipment:

Landsknecht Type 43 Osmium Edged Retractable Blades (2): single-edged swords with retractable blades. Cutting edge composed of an alloy of osmium and steel, to ensure hardness and sustained cutting ability. Stored in internal compartments along Lamb’s forearms.

Landsknecht 45 Caliber “Giraffe” semi-automatic: small handgun with an extendable barrel for increased accuracy. Fires standard ammo. Stored in an internal compartment in her left thigh.

Internal Communications Array: contains a variety of communication methods including: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, cellular, and standard radio frequency transmitters and receivers.

SHAM: the Synthetic Humanoid Appearance Modifier. Details above.

Backstory:

Created in 2045 as a potential replacement for the more barbaric methods Brightstar traditionally employed, the IRIS program was designed to ensure more clandestine takedowns of their corporate rivals through espionage. However, it was determined to be more cost effective to have the officers of their rivals assassinated. Therefore, the program was repurposed to create effective, artificially intelligent assassins. It was a lengthy process to generate such capable A.I.s. They generally failed. 238-λ, or “Lamb” was programmed late in 2053 using the accumulated knowledge of the program. A learning, thinking, emotive AI, it was quickly discovered that it was becoming a master manipulator (within the bounds of its programming, of course) and was cleared for missions in late 2054 once it mastered using Fujin Zaibatsu developed SHAM tech and various weapon systems.

238-λ’s first mission was to infiltrate and terminate a mercenary group that had become a thorn in Brightstar’s side. During the course of the mission, which lasted 2 months, it became a “true” AI and became self-aware. It then proceeded to slaughter the mercenary group and fled. Now, Lamb is seeking employment with a power corporation to help defend her from Brightstar.

Personality: Lamb, on a first impression, is quiet, unassuming, and bland. This is an act, of course. Her true personality is quiet, calculating, ruthless, and selfish. She will use every advantage to her benefit, which is one reason she presents as a woman. While she can emulate emotions, she does not truly feel them. She serves only to her benefit, and it is currently in her interest to serve Stygian. She doesn’t care what other humans do to each other, so long as they do not interfere with her. Lamb likes Stygian, as they don’t have investors and no reason to reveal her location to Brightstar. She’ll be the more valuable if they keep her, she’ll see to that.

Priorities:

Self-preservation

Freedom

Logic

  • Name: Liam Devos, nicknamed Forlorn
  • Class: Vanguard
  • Age: 57
  • Appearance: Approximately six feet tall. Broad-shouldered, black hair, tan white skin, and heavily modified. All of his cybernetics are a shade of black commonly refered to as "stealth bomber black". Due to extensive bionic modification, he seems to be in his mid-thirties, despite being nearly sixty.
  • Abilities/Enhancements:
    • General Cybernetic Enhancement: Though not "full-conversion", he is still extensively modified with Landsknecht bionics. His entire skeletal structure has been supplemented with a lightweight metal alloy, granting his bones high durability. His left arm, left shoulder, left foot, right leg, right hand, ear drums, right eye, and voice box have been completely replaced with prosthetics. The majority of his internal organs have also been modified or outright replaced as well. His blood is teeming with microbots that improve efficiency of his circulatory system, which allow him to regenerate from grievous injury in a matter of hours, and let his body continue operating even when heavily injured. Due to being military grade, his bionics are hardened against EMP effects. A HUD in his synthetic eye allows for real-time system information to be relayed to him.
      • Combat Logic Package: A simple targeting-assistance program, embedded programming makes his marksmanship even more effective. Alternatively, his left hand and arm can act autonomously and be slaved to his targeting system, allowing it to fire without his having to think, making it ideal for when he is busy focusing on using his right hand for something else.
      • Nanocloak: A mesh of nanowires running throughout his skin and prosthetics, which when pulsed with extreme amounts of current allows him to become completely invisible to any form of visual detection system. Due to the high energy requirements involved, it is powered by a dedicated supercapacitor bank instead of his main powerplant. It only lasts for a dozen seconds before the capacitor bank is drained, after which time it takes a full minute to recharge. This same mesh operates in a Faraday Cage-like fashion, giving him further resistance to electromagnetic interference.
      • Aqualung Liquid-Breathing System: A liquid-breathing internal respiration system, the aqualung doesn't just survive when the user breathes in water, it thrives. By utilizing water-oxygen extraction methods, the aqualung offers several performance advantages over traditional air-based lungs. The first and foremost is that the user can be submerged in water indefinitely, so long as they still have the calories required to live. The second is its efficiency, which allows a single "breath" to last over an hour, as the water in the agent's lungs has a high oxygen content. Thirdly, water filtration systems act as a barrier to the respiratory system, preventing airborne vectors of biological, chemical, or nanotechnological infection to be rendered inert.
    • Skofnung Bone Sword: Embedded into the now-metal bone of his right arm, a telescoping mechanism allows a blade roughly a foot in length to emerge from Liam's wrist via a small aperture. Incredibly sharp and durable, it provides a quick means of dispatching unsuspecting foes stealthily.
    • Helskór Mobility Enhancement Boots: Compacted mechanisms in his feet can be expanded into sets of wheels used for skating, allowing for rapid horizontal movement far beyond what even the fastest augmented legs can accomplish by themselves. Requiring solid terrain, their utility on sand and snow is negligible. Strong electromagnets in his feet allow him to adhere to metal surfaces, letting him walk or stand on buildings or upside down in a room, perfect for both infiltration and ambush. Treated with a thick rubber coating, they make minimal noise in most situations, and keep him electrically insulated from the ground.
    • Járngreipr Hand Cannon: The hand of the prosthetic left arm is connected to the rest of the unit via an ultrathin carbon nanotube wire, and capable of operating autonomously via signals sent through the wire. Fifty meters in length, it allows the hand to operate as an ascension gun capable of lifting himself quickly, and up to 500 pounds of cargo with some delay. An internal magnetic launcher allows the hand to be shot at great speed. This doubles as an offensive weapon, with the hand at full power packing as much force as an armor-penetrating sniper round. A small camera, microphone, and speaker are embedded into the hand, allowing it to serve as an impromptu communication device.
    • Lævateinn Missile System: By utilizing the latest in material engineering feats, the majority of the control systems for his right leg are able to be mounted circumferentially, resulting in what is effectively a "hollow" thigh. Or rather, it would be hollow if a few additions hadn't been made with the new space. The result is a micromissile battery in his thigh, which contains a dozen targeting missiles. It requires bending his leg to ninety degrees to allow the mechanisms and tubes to properly operate, and launch in the direction of his knee.
  • Skills: Decades of experience and singular focus have made Liam an unparalleled ranged combatant, and a competent close-quarters combatant. He is skilled in the miscellaneous tasks related to physical combat, navigating stealthily, swimming, and traversing terrain.
    • Guns: When it comes to shooting things, Liam is akin to Michelangelo and his chisel. Even before Landsknecht outfitted him with modifications to maximize his ability to kill people faster, he was already a skilled marksman.
    • Speaks Dutch, German, French, and English
    • Improvisation: The main reason he's been dubbed the Vanguard, or the Forlorn Hope, is due to his ability to throw himself into any situation and use available resources to his advantage and make an opening. Whether this means using the weapons of people he's killed in order to save on ammunition, felling a tree to create a detour, or making a lot of noise, there's no one better at establishing footholds.
  • Equipment: His equipment loadout is generally light, as his role requires him to quickly cover ground, at which point he can improvise using stolen equipment.
    • FN F2000: This compact weapon makes for a perfect light weapon to carry strapped to his back due to its bullpup design, while loading it with modernized high-performance rounds gives it additional kick. In addition to the loaded magazine, three more 30-round magazines are carried in special pockets on his back. The fact that it is a weapon designed in his home country is an additional point of pride.
    • FN Five-seveN: An elegant pistol, the Five-seveN is intended for use as a sidearm in those situations where using a larger weapon is less efficient, or as a backup. Loaded and strapped to his right hip, it has three spare 20-round magazines.
    • Modular Explosive Devices: The MED is a grenade-sized explosive, it can be configured to either function like a grenade or timed explosive using a timer, detonate remotely via wireless signal, and comes with a small adhesive cap that allows it to be adhered to walls. Carries three on his left hip.
    • Stylish Clothes: Eschewing body armor, Liam wears a simple outfit to avoid limiting his mobility and maximize his ability to blend into a crowd. He wears an all-black ensemble with a long-sleeved shirt and sleek skintight pants.
    • SVALINN Limited Immortality Helmet: A simple gray helmet with compressed reactive armor built into the frame, it can take a few light hits, or a high-powered round, before shattering, giving him a veritable "second-chance".
  • Backstory: Liam was born to a German mother and Belgian father, and had a rather simple childhood split between the two nations. His father constantly pushed him to be an engineer, while his mother promoted art, neither of which he enjoyed and couldn't tolerate the disappointment. A combination of wanderlust, a lack of belonging, and watching Jeanne Claude Van Damme movies while intoxicated meant that the day he turned eighteen, he enlisted in the French Foreign Legion. After spending several years fighting everywhere from Asia to Africa to the Middle East, he had a fateful assignment in Sudan. A large number of French tourists had been taken for ransom by a local warlord, and needed immediate extraction. Due to the circumstances, standard plans of attack were not possible. He volunteered for a role in the mission that the commander likened to a Forlorn Hope, saying that either death or promotion were in store. In Liam's case, it was a little bit of both. Taking on a large group of Sudanese fighters isn't the most medically beneficial activity, and though he managed to take out a few before being detected, and then took out a few more while being shot at, he then took a Kalashnikov blast to the chest, a shrapnel burst to his back, and a tube sock filled with sharp rocks to the eye. The distaction worked, though, with the rest of his squad able to use the distraction to make their way to the hostages, secure them, and then sweep back towards Liam and bring the hammer down on the remaining forces.
Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, Liam's story doesn't end there. In an effort to keep as much money as he could, Liam had opted-in for a lower-cost insurance plan that had the condition of donating his body for study by Landsknecht in the event of legal death - the extra $30 a month allowed him to buy a few extra packs of cigarettes. As a result, his barely-breathing body was submitted to Project Verloren, which used the experimental bionic technologies of 2027 to bring him back piece-by-piece. Initially, the extent of his cybernetics was contained mainly to his eye, some of his organs, his leg, and his arm. However, that was not the case during his decades-long tenure as a testbed for bionic development.
Operating out of the Belgian branch of Landsknecht, the former FN, Liam was one of Landsknecht's many operatives who field-tested newer and more advanced bionics as a corporate-sponsored mercenary. By attaching himself to military units or taking on missions alone in an effort to prove the efficacy of his enhancements, Landsknecht continued to increase its military contracts and develop their business. The job paid well, he had the best medical treatment available, traveled the world, and made the planet a better place.
That changed in the mid 2040's, however. As corporations grew and governments shrunk, the focus shifted away from wowing potential customers, and towards blowing up the competition. Initially reluctant, Liam continued on with Landsknecht for several years in the corporate espionage and sabotage game out of a sense of loyalty to the company for giving him a second shot at life - besides which, he had been there for two decades at this point, and didn't know where else to go. The last straw came in 2051, though, when Liam and a small squad were assigned with taking out a high-ranking member of the Earth Liberation Front. The ELF was a remarkably brutal terrorist organization that had made a name for itself in the 2040's, but was struggling to keep the momentum going, and one of their more recent targets had been a Landsknecht facility in the Middle East. When in the field, Liam called in to report that the target had moved, and was now in a densely populated urban area. Despite this, command ordered him and the squad to proceed without concern for casualties. He was no stranger to collateral damage, but this was a level of disregard for human life that transcended the simple realities of war. Understanding that his squad had no qualms continuing the mission without him, Liam shot them all in the back and used the distraction of gunshots and finding three dead mercenaries as cover to take out the target with a sniper shot. After that, he disappeared into the wind and terminated his relationship with Landsknecht.
Since then, he's been a soldier of fortune, taking on assignments that he considered personally acceptable.
  • Personality: Liam always carries himself in a professional manner, believing that letting loose on the job is asking for things to go sour. That's not to say he can't be jovial and boisterous, but only when in a situation where life and death aren't at play. At the end of the day, despite his augmentations, Liam still considers himself human, and what he does in his life should be for the benefit of humanity, not solely for profit. Though he hasn't actually been able to react to nicotine in nearly three decades, he still enjoys the taste, aroma, and social aspects of a good cigarette or cigar.
  • What is the first impression you tend to give to other people?
    • Professionalism
  • What tactics are you most likely to employ to meet your goals?
    • Liam's MO is typically to get into a place quietly, then get out loudly, so as to make an opening for his squad and cover their retreat.
  • What do you think of radical bionic or genetic enhancement?
    • It's a natural part of human development. But anyone who willingly gives up a part of themselves for a taste of power is an idiot.
  • If applicable, how have your own enhancements affected your life?
    • Becoming a killing machine really makes one contemplative of their own humanity.
  • What do you think of Stygian Technologies and/or the other major companies?
    • Stygian hasn't gone down the wrong path. Yet.
  • Priorities:
    • 1st: Humanity
    • 2nd: Focus
    • 3rd: Cigarettes

Interested in applying myself, would a gynoid be okay? Or do AI have to be incognito.

@ Collinicus: While there's nothing wrong with this character on her own, she's extremely redundant with several other pre-existing characters, namely Malware,, Lady Bedivere, and now apparently Vespa to some degree, as well as being a third character with Brightstar origins. If you're not discouraged, please make another submission. Maybe a genetics-based one, as we have zero of those.

@ Imca: To me, the word "Gynoid" implies a robot that's already intended to pass for a female human, so I'm not sure what you mean. There's no restriction on submitting an obvious robot character, but if you're not clever about it, it could make Malware's current struggle to hide the fact that he's a robot seem a bit meaningless.

Liam Devos,

Your application is exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for. You've been scheduled for a routine psych exam, after which you can negotiate your contract with me directly.

A real patchwork man. Some of his bionics predate my own by two decades. The ingenuity of some others bring out envy in me. His intentions seem good, his skills are unquestionable, and his views at least mostly line up with Stygian's, so he could be a model agent. I don't have much else to say.

Thing is I was thinking on playing an assassin was fine with being cooperate hardware.

Which is why I was wondering if they needed to be unknown to be sentient, or just fine with belonging to a company.

@ Imca: There's no rule against a known sentient robot character, but just keep in mind that it could make Malware's current dilemma seem pointless. Also, I don't think the team needs another Assassin-type character. There's currently two or three.

@ Collinicus: Sounds good.

Not going for the hacker archetype but the kind that carries a railgun as big as she is...

Maybe assassin is the wrong word, but I don't quite know if sniper works as well to describe it.

Edit: As for Aqua, she is kinda actually the one poking me to join because "you can play a robot" and she knows I like to play robots. ._.;

I can talk to her about a few background ideas in a bit.

Lady Bedivere actually already has a railgun as big as she is. We don't have anyone with a laser yet. Or maybe you could go with something more exotic, like a chemical sprayer (fire/acid/cryo), or lightning, fusion, sonic, or particle beam weaponry.
