Sir Christopher Lee has passed away at the age of 93.

The man led an amazing life, even outside of his career as an actor. He will be missed.

We're losing all the greats this year, aren't we?...

Dang it... Lee wasn't just a great actor, he was an all-around great man, and even though I don't aspire to be an actor I've looked up to him as a role model in terms of being someone who lived life to its fullest.

Wow, so many creative greats have died this year. At the least they left this world much better for their works they left behind.

Yeah, humans have this bad habit of dying when they get old, it's annoying. =[

I can't say I knew him very well outside of Lord of the Ring, but from what I read it seems he was a pretty great guy. R.I.P sir. U.U

I can't believe we're losing all these great actors nowadays...

Looking at his age, I feared Christopher Lee wasn't going to live much longer. He's been in a lot of movies...The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars II and III, and those are the only ones that strike me the most.

R.I.P.

Forget his live action roles. There will only be one King Haggard.

He lived life at its fullest. From his days in World War II, to portraying Dracula, Scaramanga, Saruman, Dooku and so many other roles (some of them being the only redeeming part of a film), to singing Metal and having met Tolkien IRL and so forth.

We will all stop someday. For a little while. And then move on to the next adventure. He moved on, and he might be talking with Peter Cushing as we write.

RIP Sir Cristopher Lee.

Count Dracula, Fu Manchu, Frankenstein's monster, Count Rochefort, Francisco Scaramanga, Mr. Evil Midnight...so many memorable roles. One hell of a life, too.

I don't know if I ought to post this, but... you know what, I think I probably should.

His Hammer Horror movies may not have been the best vampire films, but Lee sure as hell was one of the best Draculas in cinema. Rest in final peace.

RIP in peace, Sir Lee.

No one's gonna post the song he did as part of the metal album he did on Charlemagne?

I know him mostly from Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, but this is still a big blow for me. Nice to know that he was still acting though, even as old as he was.

[up][up]He did two albums about Charlemagne.

The second one is called 'Charlemagne: The Omens of Death'.

The world has lost an epic headbanger.

Has anybody mentioned that he also stabbed a nazi?

Rest in peace, Sir Christopher. You and your old pal Peter Cushing have a LOT of catching up to do.

You'll find few people to ever match his legacy. Horror legend, icon in geek circles, and a man who fought Nazis in WWII and had his own metal album. Now that's a badass life lived.

I have a mixed opinion on the Hobbit trilogy, but damn if destroying Ringwraiths and saying "Leave Sauron to me" wasn't a cool way for him to go out.

I'll dearly miss him. He's one of my favorite actors, and one of the reasons I got into acting myself. There are few who will ever be as simultaneously talented and badass as Christopher Lee.
