''War... War never changes... When the fires of nuclear armageddon rained it was said to be the end of us. When in reality it was just another violent and bloody chapter in human history.

The Eastern Commonwealth, New York City, when the war raged many things were hidden in this city, from vaults, to scientific research labs. Prospectors have made a living hunting through abandoned vaults and labs, if not for the issue of the Brotherhood of Steel intervening often.

The Enclave remains in a small bunch, powerless without the power of their force, they have taken refuge in vault 72 and for now wait for the day when they can return.

The Brotherhood remains, watching over the urban remains of New York, in a civil war with itself, trying to retake the technology found in the vaults.''

  • Name: Yekaterina 'Katya' Simonovic
  • Age: 21-ish
  • Occupation: Scout, part-time mechanic/roboticist, merchant heir
  • Personality: Gentle, and kind at one side, and ruthless and pragmatic at the other side, Katya is an excellent road companion who will listen to you anytime, and won't hesitate to sock you if you are being rather uncouth.
  • Backstory:
Katya's great great grandparents was amongst of the Baltic refugees who escaped Europe to escape the Soviets when they took over with that pesky revolution of theirs. Being an engineer for the Tsarist army, specialising in firearms and mechanical devices, Nikolai Simonovic taught his skills to his son Yuric and established Simonovic Firearms Co., which was washed under and merged with Colt's Manufacturing Company when the Great Depression Hit.

Yuric's proved adept with the works of mechanical devices and especially firearms, which combined with the burgeoning field of robotics, miniaturization of laser and nuclear technology, as well as automotive means a chance for them to set a line of their own firearms, and perhaps fulfill the American dreams for generations of Simonovics to come.

However, when nuclear fire comes to wipe the slate clean, it was all but crushed and vaporized, and Yuric's family and a few of his subordinates in Colt was herded into one of the numerous vaults in the United States, particularly near the Massachusetts region. It was years before the vault opened, and the inhabitants of that particular vault would see the light of the sun once more,

Fast forward dozens of years once more, the Simonovic family has established themeselves as a renowned arms manufacturer locally, undisturbed by competitors from the far west yet. Amongst their numerous heirs, Yekaterina 'Katya' Simonovic was in a convoy carrying firearms throughout what used to be New York when she got separated. Alone, and without friends nor family, only time will tell what will happen to her...

Wastelander

  • Name: Victor Mitchell

  • Age: 30

  • Occupation: Caravan Guard for hire

  • Personality: Victor is a serious man, but not unfriendly. During the job, he is unshakable, unless radscorpions are involved. They freak him OUT. He's loyal to those who pay him, and knows his way in combat, unless in close range with radscorpions, or radroaches even. In case it's not mentioned enough, he hates giant insects. But in his downtime, he's more than happy enough to talk with people, and can be quite persuasive at times due to being around a lot.

  • Backstory: Victor was a Vault Dweller who came over from Nevada with a caravan. Seeing that the world didn't need unnecessary things like his former job, (telephone operator) he became a mercenary for hire to protect and travel with caravans. Also, on his first foray out of his Vault, he ran into some giant mutant insects, and he completely lost it. He fled in a panic, and ended up at Goodsprings after a few days travelling. There, he met the friendly Doc Mitchell and the other residents, staying there for a while and learning basic survival, before moving on towards other places. And so, his journeys began, and now he's in New York, a whole new area to explore.

    • A cowboy hat.

    • A few stimpacks and a doctors bag.

    • About 3 full reloads for the hunting rifle, and 4 full reloads for the revolver.

    • A Pip-Boy 3000! Standard Vault gear!

    • Tools for maintaining his weapons and armor.

    • Basic necessities like food and water for about 3 days.

    • A pair of goggles. For the sandstorms of the Mojave.

You won't really need to worry about ammo. Scarcity of ammo, caps, and food will depend on what the plot demands. But both of you are in!

  • Personality: Friendly, likes to explore old vaults, loves pets and animals, relatively easy going, perfectly capable of keeping quiet and sneaking about. Damien likes to get along with people and find old things to salvage. Really likes Sunset Sarsparilla more than Nuka Cola.
  • Backstory: Damien was a Prospector, always was for most of his life, from the day he scavenged a working pip boy out of one of the vaults to finding pre-war medical supplies. It wasn't until he was 25th year that he joined the York Delivery service as a courier, and finding a puppy he would name Snowy. Now he wanders occasionally delivering mail.

  • Name:Bailey Franco
  • Age: 22
  • Occupation: Engineer and inventor
  • Personality: Is usually pretty jolly. Likes seeing action, especially explosions. Will suddenly snap into seriousness at random, though. Has the mentality of a 15 year-old.
  • Backstory: Bailey used to live in part of the Commonwealth, building robots and the like. When a man from the Institute seized Bailey's favorite robot, Bailey took some of their blueprints and took to wandering. Eventually, they ended up in New York.

    • Meltdown: It's so cool to see people vaporize, and easy to clean up, too!
    • Fast Shot: Seeing the bullets flying everywhere is almost as fun as seeing explosions!

    • Robco Certified: No Institute jerk is gonna take this buddy away from me!

  • Name: Antonio "Tony" Pavoni, aka "Snarl" note 
  • Age: 37
  • Occupation: Boxer, doctor, part-time mercenary.
  • Personality: Fists of steel and a heart of gold: That's what Snarl's all about. He might not look like it with his gruff exterior, his almost permanent frown, and his poor bedside manner at times, his heart is in the right place, and he makes sure to try and make the world a bit less crappy than it currently is, be it by fixing up the innocent or crushing the guilty.
  • Backstory: Tony made a name for himself down south when he used to operate in New Orleans and then in Miami, making a living out of fixing people up, beating them down on the ring for sport, and beating them down harder out of it for justice. It's only recently that he decided to move up north towards New York, chasing after a group of raiders who escaped an attack he made on one of their outposts. Even if he dispatched most of them there and already got paid for it, Tony wants to finish the job, and make sure he gets even with the one bandit that gave him the scar earning him his nickname.
  • Tagged Skills:
    • Unarmed: See these two quartets of knuckles here? They've been acquainted with more faces than you could ever imagine.
    • Medicine: Look man, these hands can fix jaws just as well as they can break'em. Now quit squirming and lemme take care of ya.
    • Speech: After enough years as a doctor, you kinda start to acquire a certain way with words.
  • Perks
    • Bloody Mess: When a well-aimed punch is good enough to cave an asshole's face in, you know the other bastards are gonna think twice about messing with you further.
    • Iron Fist: Self-explanatory, ain't it.
    • Toughness: I remember some wise guy saying something about that once, it went something like "It's not about how much you can give, but about how you can take.".
    • Living Anatomy: All that knowledge with the body helps with the healing just as much as with the hurting.
  • Possessions: The clothes on his back, an outfit reinforced with a handful of parts salvaged from a discarded combat armor, a fair amount of food and medical supplies, a pair of boxing gloves for formal occasions, a pair of brass knuckles attached to martial arts gloves for not-so-formal occasions, a .45 ACP pistolnote  with a couple mags' worth of ammo.

  • Name: Thomas O'Neill
  • Age: About 32 or so
  • Occupation: Gun for hire; formerly Enclave trooper
  • Personality: Always willing to make a crack about his current situation, Tom uses humor to hide the fact that the Wasteland and the Enclave have deeply disillusioned him. He's not sure if it's possible for the Wasteland to get better - but if you give him an opportunity he'll fight for it as surely as anything else.
  • Backstory: Old Thomas used to work with the rest of the Enclave in Vault 72. However, with the destruction of their main force in the Capital Wasteland via the Lone Wanderer, they are currently powerless. Time spent in a Vault with little to do can make a man think, and after a long reflection on himself and his employers, Thomas became disillusioned with the Enclave's mission - especially considering most everyone outside was generally normal anyways - and managed to sneak out of Vault 72, where he wanders the Wastes as a gun for hire.
  • Tagged Skills:
    • Energy Weapons - The Enclave having the power to regularly outfit its forces with plasma weapons means that Thomas is skilled at using energy weapons of all types.
    • Repair - Energy weapons are finicky beasts; spend enough time with one and you'll figure out how to fix it without breaking a sweat.
    • Survival - Being an Enclave soldier, you often operate in the Wasteland for long periods of time without support - knowing how to live with no backup is vital.
    • Guns - Unfortunately, energy weapon ammunition is not very common in the Wasteland. Bullets are, though. And fortunately, once you adjust for drop, guns aren't different from plasma.
  • Perks:
    • Trigger Discipline - Tommy has more than his fair share of kills, and proper trigger discipline is the difference between flagging someone with a plasma rifle and turning them into a pile of slag.
    • Tag! - See Tagged Skills.
    • Educated - Say what you will about the Enclave, at least they teach some things that aren't propaganda. Tom is one of the smarter people in the Wasteland.
    • Power Armor Training - A necessity.
  • Possessions:
    • A set of Mk. II Advanced Power Armor. It's seen better days - not having seen a maintenance cycle in a long time - so it's less protective and heavier than comparable armor. This in mind, it's still leagues better than what you'll usually find in the wastes.
    • Enclave-standard-issue plasma rifle and plasma pistol. They only see use in emergency situations, though - ammunition and spare parts for them is the polar opposite of common, so they only see use in situations where he will otherwise die.
    • A FAL G-Series battle rifle, found in the wastes. Long-ranged, accurate, and hard-hitting - and its ammo is plentiful, unlike the energy cells needed for plasma weapons.
    • A combat knife. It's useful for a few things - the least of which is gutting people.
    • Some stimpaks for in-field healing - anything more major needs a doctor.
    • A fair amount of various types of food, and an Enclave-standard water bottle with a purifier in the cap.
