Naturally, Simon Pegg had to play the Bond Expy/British comic relief guy (sort of).
Looks ok, I guess. I've never really been big on the Mission Impossible franchise.
Well, apparently the last movie, Ghost Protocol was really good, so who knows? Maybe this one will be too.
The first Mission Impossible movie is good, the second is So Okay, It's Average, but III and Ghost Protocol are really good. I have high hopes for this.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Fun fact. The scene with Cruise hanging to the side of the plane? No green screen or CGI. All real.
Yeah. When I spotted it it gave me "awesome scene people make a point of not using special effects out of artistic value/batshit insanity". Kind of like the dubai scene in Ghost Protocol where, if memory doesn't fail me, Tom Cruise actually did climb a building or something of the sort (though I'm unsure if it was the world's tallest building).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Because Tom Cruise is up for anything.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThe building was the Burj Khalifa, and yes, it is the world's tallest building.
Further reasons as to why Tom Cruise is an awesome actor.

It's so nice he's currently not in one if his crazy phases so we can appreciate the entirety of his insanity being channeled into ridiculous stunts and what a great actor he actually is rather than being distracted by him doing stuff that makes us want to lower our heads and sigh.
Tom Cruise has his bouts of insanity, but he is one of the hardest working and dedicated actors in Hollywood. Consider the fact that even if he appears in a few duds he has been a consistent box office draw and frequently praised for never phoning it in. If he wasn't at least a little insane he wouldn't be where he is. I've been debating on cleaning up the Tom Cruise tv tropes page, as it's horribly outdated and, frankly, his couch jumping incident on Oprah had very little impact on his professional career or box office draw (it was very literally "He did something silly in public, everybody's laughing at him [next movie comes out] Wow, he was actually pretty good in that.").
As for Mission: Impossible, most people consider Ghost Protocol as when the series finally hit the butter zone between the original series team based espionage concept and the slam bam action packed movies. MI:III was a step in the right direction but I know some were underwhelmed with the focus on Ethan's love life. The thing I'm hoping for with Rogue Nation is actually getting a Mission Impossible movie that doesn't deal with the organization itself being compromised, either by a rogue agent or obstructive bureaucracy.
(x10) His character isn't really that at all...
I didn't like the first two films, enjoyed the third somewhat, and loved Ghost Protocol, so I hope this continues the climb upwards.

Please, please clean up the Tom Cruise tvtropes page.
How do you know? I assume that we've only saw the trailer. And even if the character is not like who I said it was, there's obviously a nod to Bond with the tuxedo and shit.
"The other door!!!"
Classic.
Because he was in the last two films?
So, why is everyone from Ghost Protocol back, EXCEPT the girl? Cartwright Curse?

Girl of the Week, more likely.
It bothers the hell out of me how disposable Mission Impossible female leads are.
The actress had a prior commitment, for the life of me I can't remember for what.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerSince I assume you're all referring to Paula Patton (Jane in the movie, yeah?), she was busy with the Warcraft movie.
What's Maggie Q doing?
Maggie Q has a role in the Divergent franchise, so possibly that (but given I know jack shit about the divergent franchise, I can't tell how big her role is).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I kind of have to wonder this. Considering the upcoming HBO documentary "Going Clear" this Sunday, which basically outlines a lot of the controversies and hurtful acts committed by the Church of Happyology, with special criticism given to Tom Cruise since, in the words of the director, he's the big kahuna of the Church, will this cause the film to not be seen by many people, leading to it underperforming? Especially since Cruise hasn't really responded to the film, which has gotten him reprimanded by the director.
I mean something like this did happen when Black Fish caused attendance to Sea World to go down.
Where in Tom Cruise continues to do more outlandishly impossible stunts.
