Am I the only one who thinks the coins with the purple sideways triangle on them are ugly? I mean I know it's still super early, I'm just saying.
Yooka is the Chameleon and Laylee is the bat, but are they both guys, or is one of them a girl?
I believe they are going that path of Banjo Kazooie with the main one you control being male and the flyer being female on this one.
Insert something Original here.Yup, Yooka (the chameleon) is a guy, and Laylee (the bat) is a gal, ala Banjo-Kazooie.
Not sure if interview has been posted, It's only like a day old. Apparently they got money in their kickstarter so fast that the people who posted the kickstarter never saw the pledge amount being 0. Also, the animator say that he has a hard time remembering which character was the boy and which was the girl.
Man, these guys are masters of environmental music.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about. There needs to be a trope for the whole "bells jingle in the music of snowy game stages" if there isn't one already.
Moved handles because mehThere's going to be a Stop N Swop Reference somewhere.
We've got some new screens! I'm really digging the first screen in particular. It's giving me some serious Epic Mickey vibes, and that's always a good thing in my book.
Having heard Kirkhope's Jungle World, I now can't unhear the tuba in Banjo-Tooie's soundtrack. Lotta tuba in that game.
It just hit me a few days back.
Wouldn't be awesome if we got a legit sequel to Diddy Kong Racing that's developed by Playtonic? (Since most of the founders probably worked on DKR themselves?)
They could keep Diddy, Dixie, and Tiny Kongs, and use expies or Captain Ersatzes of the other animal characters that they can't use because they're owned by Rare or whatever?

Well thus far it seems Yooka-Laylee will have a rather colorful cast, so there should be material.
The developers recently unveiled a new very Retraux character: Meet Rextro Sixtyfourus◊. (In-game model here◊.)
"Don't worry, Lucian, we'll make it through this."...he's a dinosaur. Dammit.
I have a message from another time...I love it.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobTechnically it's not Yooka-Laylee related, but here's a video about Project Dream and how it got turned into Banjo-Kazooie.
I just finished watching it on You Tube.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventurePlaytonic's twitter changed to Hivory Towers: Forms fabricated, shareholders synergised, minions monetized… commence HOSTILE TAKEOVER!
Big Bad confirmed Corrupt Corporate Executive
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."There's something mighty ironic about the Big Bad using a honeycomb for a logo.
EDIT: Holy crap, I just realized. Hivory Towers are a corporation that took a familiar symbol of the Banjo series and appropriated it into their soulless corporate machine. The Big Bad of Yooka-Laylee is Microsoft.
