It's Sentai, so I'm not getting my hopes up for anything even though I'll watch.
I'd love to see this show be aired on Toonami, just so I can hear how the viewers react to it.
If it airs on Toonami it would have to be censored.
It will also never be on Toonami.
Even if it was, it would probably be a reaction worse than even Agame Ga Kill.
But Akame Ga Kill was actually watched when it came on :V
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I saw a rip of Parasyte once that had the [as] logo on it.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Cross Ange is set to debut in Super Robot Wars V. Since I despise Cross Ange, my reaction is what you expected.
Even then, Super Robot Wars V doesn't interest me all that much. But that's another topic for another day.
Thanks for the needless bump then?
Just want to let everyone know about the dub being completed.
You know who I think would've been the best dub voice for Embryo? Jeremy Irons.
Imagine if someone manages to make a Shoot 'Em Up game out of this series.
Piloting a Para-mail around shooting Dragons?
I'd play it. Especially if we got to punch Embryo in the face.
I was thinking more of a modified version of Libertus, fighting through hordes of Mana people and Embryo's machines instead.
EDIT: Forgot the Rose Knights
In that regard, it's a good thing that Embryo kept them using Mana for non-violent purposes. If they ever weaponized it, it would end up like playing Touhou with a massive hitbox. (Norma are immune to Mana, but not the mails.)

I've also been coming up with ideas for crossovers.
- With Code Geass- currently called "Game of Geass and Mana". Lelouch and his servants (Suzaku, Jeremiah and Sayoko) are resurrected by Jurai and Sophia with the purpose of fulfilling their wishes to end the hatred between the Norma and Mana people. Cue episode 11, Lelouch takes action and pulls Sylvia into his rebellion.
- With Death Note- called Gods of Life and Death. Light Yagami and his family live in this alternate universe within the Misurugi Empire, attending the Ho-o Institute with Princess Angelise. Both having enough of their decadent, privilieged lifestyles, Ryuk drops the Death Note, which Light uses for a rampage throughout Mana against those who attack Norma and more specifically Angelise. When these become noticed, Embryo recruits L.
- With Starcraft- Called Angels of Mana. The Protoss find the World of Mana just as when Angelise and Hilda escape from Arzenal. Teleporting them to the Spear of Adun, the two Norma and Mana people on board find new allies to free them from slavery.
- With Gurren Lagann- After his death, Kamina falls into Arzenal. Awesomeness ensues.

I don't know why I thought of this, but upon programming a game, I suddenly thought of mixing Cross Ange with the game Undertale. Imagine the Norma having to play a game where they only get better endings by not killing anyone.

You might as well cross it with Planetary Annihilation, if only for total lulz. I suggest Commander Gamma for extra-multi-total lulz.
If only because a head honcho Commander of vicious murderbots and main shareholder of a big weapon manufacturing MegaCorp and a hopeless addict of RTS games basically the closest thing the settings got to Optimus Prime.
Recently added a fanfic tropes page for Cross Ange. It's for one fanfic I've read called Cross Ange Futatsu Sekai No Border.
So I just stopped by to say A)Never knew this thread existed, B)saw the show and wrote a review, and C)I thought it was very entertaining but still ultimately shit. (But very entertaining shit.) It could have been great, and it had a lot of things going for it, but it ultimately did itself in. (The first opening was kickass though.)
General consensus is the show lowered in quality sometime during the second half.
Yeah... While I watched the whole thing and it did have some moments that I quite enjoyed I will admit that overall it was kinda bad. The music in the show was pretty to notch though and I will always defend that part of Cross Ange.
I do lots of stuff. The real question is am I any good at that stuff. What nailed the coffin in Cross Ange for me was (aside from the rampant fanservice and skeeviness, the odd plot hole, Tusk and Momoka staving off the Grim Reaper, etc.,) the ending. To make a long story short, Ange and co. decide to make a new kingdom where everyone is accepted, while also making a new kingdom where not everyone is accepted, because if they were, then you'd think they'd be inviting the people from the other Earth or at least trying to throw them a bone. By not lifting a finger to help them, Ange is in effect doing what was done to her and the other Norma the whole show; ignoring the plight of a troubled people and leaving them to rot. While you can somewhat understand why she's doing it, it still turns her into a damned hypocrite and causes the whole message of the series to fall flat on its' face, and it ruins what little good will the show had left.
At least the music was nice.
(And for those looking to play Super Robot Wars V, who knows; maybe that game will salvage it. It wouldn't be the first time it gave a series a welcome Fix Fic.)

Different strokes. I thought the fate of the mana-humans was the only worthwhile part of the ending. Everything else was luckluster.
Honestly, I wish that Sunrise would've continued with another Valvrave season rather than making this series, if they had the choice. That show still has so much potential for more stories in its setting.
Even so, I did enjoy Cross Ange, if only ironically. Plus Ange is imo one of the better female characters in to come out of recent mecha anime. Other than that though, it was quite entertaining to watch Sunrise be all insane again.
Is it? I thought the general consensus was that the early episodes were the worst part…

They're dubbing this?
Well, okay then.
