NOTE - Report bugs along with your browser/version, operating system/version, and device. There are thousands of these combinations, and most bugs right now only affect certain combinations.
Tropers - As you are probably well aware by now, we've made a ton of changes to TV Tropes. Although most of the changes you see are primarily cosmetic, we are also part way through a complete overhaul of the backend code. With so many changes under the hood, it is entirely possible we broke a few things. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, this is the place to report it.
Please note, this thread is for BUGS only! If you have an idea, wish, or anything to say that is not related to a bug, please do not post it here. Those things can all be posted and discussed on other threads in Wiki Talk or the Tech Wishlist.
The more information you can provide about the bug (e.g., browser, operating system, etc.) and how to re-create it, the more likely we will be able to squash it.
Happy Troping!
EDIT: Here are some things that have been reported:
- Login issues
- Logins not sticking between devices
- Some people are still having issues with dropped logins.
- You can't log in if your username contains a space. Remove the space.
- Javascript: Your device must be able to run Javascript from tvtropes.org, static.tvtropes.org, ajax.googleapis.com, and netdna.bootstrapcdn.com. If you are blocking any of these, lots of things won't work, like editing pages.

We are aware of the issues, which all seem database related.
- Forum watchlists are not functioning.
- New forum topics display as empty.
- Wiki indexes are not working.
- Wiki article histories are not working.
- Mod mode/mod hat formatting is not working.
- Find Post by Troper is not working.
- "Replies to Active YKTTWs" section on the YKTTW history page is not working.
- Some, but not all, users are reporting issues with their private messages.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Oh thank goodness, I'm not alone.
Yeah, just dropped in to report that my entire watchlist just emptied itself at some point in the last hour. At first I thought it was a mobile issue because I was browsing just fine, then left my desk and pulled up the site on my phone to find an empty watchlist. But now I'm back at my desk and it's still empty.
Haven't tried re-adding any threads yet. Kind of a daunting prospect... I hope it's not permanent because I'm not even sure I can remember what all threads I had bookmarked.

Rather Random Rachel just told me that her Watchlist is still working so far. So that at least ain't site-wide.
No such luck with "Find post by troper" and the Indexes.
Edit: ...I take that back. It's gone for her too now as well.

"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!In addition to the forum watchlist, the "replies to actives" section on the YKTTW progress list also appears to be empty.
Yeah, have the same problem as well.
I can't look at my PMs either, in addition to everything else that's been mentioned.
Same here.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Watchlist bugs here as well. Glad I'm not alone.
Old habits die hard, especially when no one else lets them die either. So I'm not the only one finding their watchlist completely empty. Good. For a moment, I was worried something happened to my account. (-__-')
Wiki Watchlist appears to still be working.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? Please check my post above to see if your issue is already listed before reporting.
The devs are working on a fix for the problem, but we're told it may take a little while. Your patience is appreciated.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Thank you guys for working on it so quickly
"I'm as free as the dust in the solar wind."In addition to the issues already mentioned, I'm having some forum threads fail to load entirely.
I just got randomly logged out. Only new issue to report. Likewise, I'm getting the "no topic exists" message when viewing a Conversation(a forum, not the thread).
I had a tab open for my thread watchlist on my phone, and when I refreshed the page I was asked to log in again. My login info is saved, so I pressed the login button but was given the invalid password or username message. I tried again, without changing anything, and on the third try it went through.
My watch list is back
"I'm as free as the dust in the solar wind."It's back for me too!
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerAll is as it should be.
dead devotionThe downtime was to restore the database server. Looks like it's back.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah it's back. Good job!
Incidentally, the issue was related to storage space. That means that anything added to the affected systems (article history entries, new forum topics, etc.) during the downtime will probably have been permanently lost.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"How big of a time window are we talking here? It would help if we have a rough "upper" and "lower" boundary for us to use for checking our respective recent edits.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I don't think any edits were lost, just the histories.

Oh I'm not the only person having trouble with the thread watchlist?
Goodie.
Oh really when?
