NOTE - Report bugs along with your browser/version, operating system/version, and device. There are thousands of these combinations, and most bugs right now only affect certain combinations.
Tropers - As you are probably well aware by now, we've made a ton of changes to TV Tropes. Although most of the changes you see are primarily cosmetic, we are also part way through a complete overhaul of the backend code. With so many changes under the hood, it is entirely possible we broke a few things. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, this is the place to report it.
Please note, this thread is for BUGS only! If you have an idea, wish, or anything to say that is not related to a bug, please do not post it here. Those things can all be posted and discussed on other threads in Wiki Talk or the Tech Wishlist.
The more information you can provide about the bug (e.g., browser, operating system, etc.) and how to re-create it, the more likely we will be able to squash it.
Happy Troping!
EDIT: Here are some things that have been reported:
- Login issues
- Logins not sticking between devices
- Some people are still having issues with dropped logins.
- You can't log in if your username contains a space. Remove the space.
- Javascript: Your device must be able to run Javascript from tvtropes.org, static.tvtropes.org, ajax.googleapis.com, and netdna.bootstrapcdn.com. If you are blocking any of these, lots of things won't work, like editing pages.

Previously, the forum software automatically hyphenated long links, breaking the link.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt still does that inside actual links.
Is there any practical compromise? I mean, long URLs don't crop up very often in most threads, so maybe it's just a matter of wanting to be Crazy-Prepared, but it is inconvenient when it crops up.
Although I can't think of a better idea.
The parser could automatically wrap at X characters regardless of hyphenation. The auto-hyphenation thing is a pain in the arse.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I don't know if someone else already mentioned this, but a lot of pages just don't appear. I just click the Radom button and I go to another trope page but there is no text, pictures or anything.
"FBI, Open the door!" "No... it's cool when you break in"Huh. Which URLs?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAs shown on This Domain Is Irrelevant, the old <||<Index title>||> markup has been reactivated and is now creating fake indexes.
And speaking of indexing, apparently "administrivia+does indexing" doesn't actually make an index; only "index+does indexing" work (e.g on Image Links Wiki).

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOS: Windows 8.1 Browser: Pale Moon (Firefox fork)
Basically, the sidebar is now the size of the actual content, while the content is now very small, making it almost unreadable.
Images coming soon, if needed.
Macbook Pro Retina running 10.9.2, latest Safari but also occurs in Chrome and Firefox:
"Alternative Title(s): Mister Rogers, Mister Rogers Neighborhood, <b>Ptitledl68mjvj</b>, Mr Rogers Neighborhood"
Should the "Ptitled..." part be there?
The ptitle is an artifact of a years old system for making punctuated titles.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI just noticed that it is now impossible to open the "edit post" button in a new tab because it is a javascript link. Please fix this.
As for wrapping links, you just need to set word-wrap: break-word and everything will get wrapped properly without breaking links.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayLogins stick between devices! Thank you biased TV Tropes.
We will take a look in the next couple days. It's likely a javascript/browser issue - just need some code for a workaround.
I use Google Chrome browser on a Samsung Galaxy S5 and recently the font sizes for forum threads has changed drastically. To give an example, threads that are set to extra large font at this moment are a smaller font than they were when they were set to small only a few days ago. It gives me a headache to read on my phone now.
I think it might have been the case before the changeover, but I've noticed that the "£" (not to be confused with the "#" ) glitches out and becomes "£" on some parts of the site (such as YKTTW comments).
EDIT: I've also noticed it continues to glitch with different accented A's if the post is edited without removing the "Â": "£", "£", and so on.

TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerin addition to not being able to select any sort of text box on the wiki in order to type in it resulting in the all lowercase no symbols no punctuation no capitalisation typing you see here im now also having issues with the add post page itself it frequently crashes my browser or lags while typing
this happens with not only the add post box but the edit page box and all search bars and the find post by troper bars
this only started happening when the mobile update was put in place and it still does this regardless of which version of the site i use though now i am actually unable to switch between the two
also the send button is invisible half the time or text only with no button around it so i kind of have to jab at the screen until i hope i hit it
and as of typing this i have also learned that because i cannot select or interact with the text box i also cant scroll through what ive typed so i have to retpe everything and hpe stuff at the bottom is legible enough
MY SOUL IS DARK BUT MY HAIR IS COLORFUL — Brahian Pokémon AlchemistUm, not having such an issue.
Also, noting here that trying to open a PM from the red icon by right-clicking opens the PM in a new tab but also in the current tab. The current tab should stay as whichever page it was before.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf anyone could isolate the reason my phone keeps jumping around like a frog on crack in the Add Post page, I'd appreciate it. Zooming out all the way seems to keep it from doing that, but also makes the text really friggin' small so it's hard to read, and only works if I doubletap in a certain part of the screen which it jumps away from first thing.
TL;DR; typing here on my Samsung GSII is a bitch, plz fix.
Mobile site is still two-and-a-half inches wide, too, so using that isn't much of an option.
Remember Me seems to be working at the moment, though, so there's that.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyGoogle Chrome browser on a Samsung Galaxy S5 as well, and I've noticed that the site is extremely laggy. Sometimes if I wanna click a link to another page on the site, I need to click it once, wait 10 or so seconds, then click it again to actually go there, otherwise the page doesn't actually ever load at all. Been happening for at least several weeks now.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I think we just figured out what was causing the random lag time issues - keep us posted if they persist. Working on the other bugs still.
Will disable ABP on my tablet next time I use it and see if the issue is fixed. Never got that issue on my phone or work computer, so can't say one way or another yet.

Hey, having some iOS problems. I can get on the website just fine and navigate it okay, but when I try to type anything in a new post or edit a post the page crashes. Every time you try to touch the text box. It could be an iOS problem or an incompatibility with Safari. I mean I'm fine posting on computers like normal but it's sort of inconvenient and I figured you guys should know.
The Blog The Art
This wasn't happening for a while, until today: I noticed in the Advertising and Security Issues thread (which is usually pretty link-heavy for obvious reasons), long character strings (i.e., URLs) stretch the page.
