One thing I think could be cool is Enchantress dying but they adapt part of the Justice League Dark storyline "In the Dark" but they would have to change it a little because in the comics Enchantress is the villain because Madame Xanadu separates June and the Enchantress so Enchantress goes crazy because she is looking for her other half.
Though the rumored villain for Justice League Dark is Anton Arcane.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureYeah, Katana's been popping around lately. A supporting role in a Batman show, another supporting role in Arrow, a spot in DC's Super Hero Girls thing.
It'd be both weird and a shame if all of that exposure went to waste if she bites the dust.
Count me in on the "I don't wanna see Katana die" camp.
Speaking of Katana, did anyone notice that in the trailer, for like a split second, she had a Wide Eyes and Shrunken Irises thing going? I didn't notice it at first, but I was reading up this article analyzing the trailer and there was a GIF that showed what I'm talking about.
I was like "Holy crap!" when I saw it.

The X-Men movies killed off Cyclops. Off screen. Semi importance in the source material means nothing to Hollywood.
When the actor's busy with another project.
Scott only got killed off though because the actor was busy with another movie.

I think the characters who are at the highest risk of being killed off are official members of the Suicide Squad other than Deadshot and Harley Quinn. Since we don't see Kanata imprisoned in the trailer and she is traditionally a hero in the comics, her risk is much lower.
My guess is that she was independently fighting the Big Bad of the film, and links up with the Suicide Squad after they join the fight.

Katana is Flag's bodyguard apparently.
Ropeguy/Slipknot is sort of famous in the comics for(in one of the first issues)not believing that they have bombs on their arms, being stupid enough to try to strangle a robot and then trying to escape which leads to him losing his arm and almost his life. IIRC he got killed by Tattooed Man later. He clearly doesn't have luck on his side.
IIRC Captain Boomerang is the person that convinces Slipknot that Amanda Waller is bluffing and the bombs don't actually work.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm betting a scene like that will be in.
Heh. One of my favorite scenes in the trailer is everyone else is doing exciting things...and Boomerang just pops open a can of beer.

BTW, how does Waller expect to somehow maintain control of Enchantress (unless she joined of her own will)?
Same as the rest: bombs.
And if she has a spell to get rid of that? This is one of DC's more formidable magic users after all.

It's shown pretty clearly that she doesn't really have much control over what she can and can't do. It might be that she doesn't know much, she just knows how to do some stuff.
In the comics June Moone joins the Squad because Waller promised to help her control her Enchantress side. So she went under her own volition.
Originally she was a hero and Waller asked her and other heroes to help the Suicide Squad bring in Brimstone.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAs far as the "will/won't die" conversation, I could easily see Boomerang going either way. He has a lot of potential for a "coward's death", and while he is in a few rogue galleries, I doubt that he'd be brought back for anything of the sort. He's a character basically made for smaller scale hero tales and ensembles, and while he doesn't have as many death flags on him he isn't exactly safe.
Also on the linked analysis earlier I'm pretty sure that the filmmakers are going with both versions of Harley's origin story. Show her as a psychiatrist who falls in love with/ goes insane from Joker's, well, everything, and then once she's off the deep end she willingly submerges herself in the same chemicals that made Mistah Jay himself and becomes the Quinn we see in this film.
To see DCCU Boomerang die before he gets into a scrap with The Flash would be a shame.
I don't really think they'll kill Killer Croc before he gets his own chance to fight Batman in this movie universe. I assume him, Joker, Harley, Amanda, Deadshot and Boomerang are fairly safe, but everybody else is fair cannon fodder.
I just want him to tell everyone else about that one time he threw a rock at Batman. "It was a big rock!"
This is something I loved both in the original trailer and in this one (though the addition of black comedy arguably makes it even better), but the overall bleak though not quite grimdark tone of the film. They're criminals forced under penalty of death to undertake a suicide mission that is basically guaranteed to result in some of their deaths.
Like, the Joker is a really bad guy, manipulating one bad guy who may or may not be planning to betray the rest of the team of bad guys she is currently a part of who are being enlisted by a bunch of kind of bad guys in order to take out a pretty bad guy.
They're bad guys. For you.

Of the more known characters, I think Killer Croc might be on the list of possible non-survivors. Since he's the Big Guy, he's the perfect pick for a Worf moment.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The big warning signs of who will die is if they are played by minor actors and if the characters themselves are significant. El Diablo and Slipknot are top of the list. Killer Croc has some notoriety as a Batman villain, but would never be a Big Bad or anything more than The Brute so his death wouldn't feel like a waste.
x4 And then it turns out Killer Croc was Batman in disguise the whole movie.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.
The fact that she'll likely get some positive press for being one of the few Asian superheroes in cinema is why I can't see them killing her.
One of the big selling points DC has had so far is that regardless of quality, their slate of movies are much more diverse than the average superhero flick.
