Is this not at all based off the actual Dead Nation? That game and Killing Floor both have minor elements of future-tech that I really like.

Flesh is a design flaw.I actually never heard of that game, but yeah. There will be some sci-fi aspects late on.
Good to be backCan I have a Weaponized Car or are we starting on foot? If so, can said car just be impounded or otherwise inaccessable at the beginning?

Flesh is a design flaw. There will be a car, but gas is going to be an issue, as is terrain.
Good to be backOkay let's give this a shot.
Name: Jessica Evan, Leading Senior Constable of the Victoria Police in Geelong Australia. It's basically a rank below Sergeant and generally if the officer in charge is not available the matter will be deferred to the LSC.
Appearance: [[quoteright:173:]
Jessie is a six foot tall blue eyed aboriginal half caste in great shape, perhaps the fittest officer in Victoria, certainly in Geelong. Muscular without losing her feminine appeal, she has thick legs akin to Chun Li of the Street Fighter franchise and could almost be considered Cammy Black, as she likes to wear pigtails, but is also coloured like Elena. She tends to prefer wearing the police jumper even in warm weather when in uniform and has a nice taste in fashionable outfits when off duty.
Personality: She is a very nice, kind, considerate person always trying to do the right thing by those she encounters in her work. The police force is something she believes in, it's important to her, she wants to do a good job but it doesn't define her, it's not her life. What defines her is that she just wants to be a good person, help others.
Tropes that apply to Jessica Evan.
- All Crimes Are Equal: That would be an Inverted Trope, She tries not to let her anger at how low someone is no matter what the crime, and instead focus on them facing the courts where regardless of what they have done they are equal, and will be dealt with accordingly.
- Being Good Sucks: Jessie very much tries to do the right thing. The problem is when her efforts conflict with the job or her efforts fall on deaf ears, or when her efforts lead to disaster or she puts herself out too much and not look after herself.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: In spades. Once she even tried to arrest an armed child pornographer, and was shot for her trouble.
- Don't Make Me Destroy You: The first time she had to use lethal force was when she tried to talk down a man who believed he was a vampire and had murdered several victims. He instead tried to attack her, forcing Jessie to shoot him dead.
Backstory: Jessie grew up on a ranch and after school was looking at becoming a cheerleader for Geelong's AFL Division 2 team, before it was suggested she would make an excellent officer. She developed a great interest in it and when racism became an issue she was determined to be the best cop she could be. She began her career in youth crime, when a murder turned out to be related to her work she tried to investigate. When a young gang drove one of their victims to his death Jessie began working towards trying to prevent indigenous youths from entering into a life of crime, before she was involved with resolving a siege at the school when some of the fathers of the students sought to seek out those who were part of these youth gangs.
Shortly before being promoted she was trying to prevent weapons smuggling, before the Geelong police learned of a pedophile ring. Jessie worked with a detective from Melbourne she met at the academy and had tried to apprehend one of the ringleaders, before she was shot and supposedly covered for a colleague when he killed the suspect in suspicious circumstances.
The Ethical Standards Department could find no fault in Jessie's actions and she was promoted to Senior Constable. An interesting side note occurred at this time: when Dead Island Riptide was released the Zombie Bait promo was banned, and when a store in Geelong had it in store anyway Jessie attended the complaint. She was able to resolve it by ordering the offending material removed. Not long after this a female officer was kidnapped, by the same group she was after before. They released videos of the officer being forced into relations with children, and in a joint investigation with Geelong and Melbourne Jessie was part of the team who tracked them down and made the arrests. From here several people were the victims of what appeared to be vampire attacks, with puncture marks on their neck and their blood drained. Upon investigation it was found that a man believed he was a vampire, and during the arrest he attacked Jessie, forcing her to use lethal force. She was promoted to Leading Senior Constable and transferred to the Tactical Response Team (somewhere between rank and file officers and the Special Operations Group SWAT team) for her efforts.
Lately Jessie had been working on how to handle cases of an ebola scare or outbreak, even contemplating leaving the force to volunteer providing aid in Liberia. This was when the zombie outbreak occurred and she has concentrated efforts on that instead.
Equipment: Standard police equipment such as collapsible baton, handcuffs, CS spray as well as the M&P automatic used by Vic Pol. She also has access to specialized equipment and heavier arms as part of the TRT, smoke and stun grenades, heavier arms such as shotguns and tactical gear like radios, sledgehammers, climbing and abseil gear, ect.
Abilities: Jessie may or may not be immune to the outbreak, but she does not take chances. As well as police training she is a brown belt in Jeet Kwon Do and has knowledge of handling a virus outbreak and how to contain a crisis, but this is all in regards to a ebola scare rather than a full outbreak. The most fantastic she had dealt with was someone who thought they were a vampire, the closest she came to a zombie apocalypse is knowledge of a aboriginal police officer in the game Dead Island.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than Yours@Jessie, I have a few problems. First, I know that I should probably have said this, but the RP is going to take place in America. Secondly, this is probably going to be a travel style RP, so saying she has access to all these things won't work. A key to Police weapon lockers would be a suggested alternative. Her personality honestly seems a bit flat and as for the bio, a lot of it seems unneeded and I'd like to know what she's been doing in the months since the initial outbreak.
Good to be backWhat is the official name for the disease that made the infected? Is it a virus? A parasite?
- Name: Adrian "Soulbreaker" Gatling
- Appearance: At 6' 11", and 400 pounds of muscle (giving him the build of a wrestler), it's no wonder Soulbreaker was such a successful interrogator. He's in his mid-30s, has a relatively handsome face, and keeps his straight jet-black hair in a long ponytail – a sort of rebellion against the strict dress code of his military past. He has somewhat pale skin and friendly green eyes, though they can only be seen in the rare event he removes his sunglasses.
He wears a somewhat ostentatious black leather split-tail trenchcoat with matching leather pants, combat boots, and gray, fingerless driving gloves. A silver scorpion pin adorns the left lapel of the coat. - Personality: Generally amiable, Soulbreaker was used to the frequent insults directed at his hairstyle, his clothing, and especially his car (that is, before those people began to lose their minds to the infection). He had a good sense of humor about himself, and despite his past employment he never enjoyed inspiring fear in people. Experience in his calling as a chauffer and bodyguard taught him punctuality and patience, as well as vigilance. The last has proven to be particularly advantageous these days.
Before things went to hell, he treated his vehicle as a hobby as much as his livelihood, and maintained it well. Weight training and Muay Thai took up much of the rest of his free time. Now, with his vehicle lost and visits to the gym out of the question, his entertainment and exercise tends to come from close encounters with the infected.
However, he thinks that he may be literally invincible. In the military, Soulbreaker was shot, stabbed, blown up, and generally subjected to trauma that would have killed anyone else a dozen times over - without more than a few small scars to show for it. After his stint in the army, he decided he would live the life of an action hero: namely, Transporter.
Though he may no longer have his car, his apparent delusions have only been reinforced by the fact that he seems to be immune to the infection. - Backstory: Soulbreaker was recruited into the American military out of high school, where he saw combat primarily in the role of infantry support. He took to driving the standard army Humvee like a fish to water, and became known for keeping his squad safe. However, Soulbreaker's talents at intimidation got him shifted out of combat, and into the position of an Army interrogator, where he earned his nickname.
A few years later, he decided he had enough of grilling enemy combatants, and he retired from the military to become a private chauffer and bodyguard. The jobs were fulfilling – the more dangerous, the better – and he saved countless lives, even taking bullets for his employers on several occasions.
Once the world started falling apart, he began to lose things. Friends, his house, and most importantly - his car. Soulbreaker had been living out of the nigh-indestructible humvee for months, moving from place to place in search of supplies. Then he made the mistake of briefly leaving the vehicle unlocked in the parking lot of an abandoned grocery store. That would be the last he saw of it, as upon leaving the building the huge black vehicle he had called shelter was nowhere to be found.
Now he's determined to find it, and whoever stole it. Woe be upon those, living or dead, who stand in his way. - Equipment:
- MG36 Light Machine Gun, with scope
- Bren Ten 10mm Pistol
- Body Armor Expand
- Shatterproof Sunglasses
- Up-Armored Military Humvee (Lost) Expand
- Abilities (In order of importance):
- Extraordinary endurance; immune to infection
- Expert driver
- Interrogation and intimidation
- Martial arts (Muay Thai)
- Mechanic
- Military-trained infantry support specialist (Weapon Focus: LMG)

Flesh is a design flaw.Alright, first to answer your question; No one really knows what it is, you'll meet characters calling it every one of those, before you find out what it actually is. F Or now? People just call the creatures Zombies. Soulbreaker is accepted, seems like you're going to be the driver.

Good to be backInterested, but I can't seem to work out a character... went through a rich idiot, businessman, foreign spy, and a hunting instructor before giving up.
Well, why not take aspects of their personality? Keep in mind, it's been months since the quarantine, so you could have a survivalist who was once a rich idiot or something.

Good to be back
No one knew what happened. First, it was the blast, a massive explosion all of the state's electrical stations. Then came the Zombies. No one knows where they came from, but first, it was simple. Just the Shambling, easy cannon fodder. Then, a few months later, they all started to change, some grew into new abominations, there's been no help from the government, and the entire state is in quarantine. It is now sixth months later, power's somewhat back on, but the phone lines are down. And now, you, a small group of survivors are going to try to survive in this world.
Hello, this is a Roleplay based off of Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor, the idea is that the players will be playing survivors, trying to survive, or even escape the undead hordes nipping at their feet. This will range from your standard shambling zombies, to running zombies, to giant musclebound bruisers to giant monsters.
