Western Works that would be great as an anime

The MLP example is confusing given it's got a manga volume already. The other franchise's cartoons would work as anime as well.

Something just occurred to me...

Urobutcher directing a Warhammer 40000 anime.

That would be FUCKING AWESOME.

Now I'm trying to picture an Orky version of his take on Alexander the Great... and it is awesome. Though I'm not so sure he'd be kind to my little blue buddies.

Now that I've read it, The Maze Runner would make a pretty cool anime. I can especially imagine anime Newt really well.

Wait, what about a James Bond anime adaptation?

It'll have to be better than James Bond Jr.!

• OP special-and-unique snowflake protagonist who spends alot of time screaming?
• stupid harem antics?

Another vote for Snowcrash as well, though I think that Madhouse would be the best studio for the job.

For some reason, I can't help but think that Malazan Of The Fallen would be pretty good as an anime.

@85: Isn't it widely considered that Evangelion was based on Ender's Game?

After watching a few episodes, I think Jem could make for a good anime. Sure, the cast would probably have to be aged down to teenagers but I can still see the core concept intact with the hologram creating super computer and Evil Diva rivals whose acts of sabotage never seem to get them arrested.

To be honest, I can't tell how old they are suppose to be. Jerrica is apparently old enough to inherit her father's record company.

To the people suggesting Megas XLR: That series is already an homage/a parody of Japanese Super Robot anime. Bringing it back to Japan seems rather pointless.
