Something just occurred to me...
Urobutcher directing a Warhammer 40000 anime.
That would be FUCKING AWESOME.
Now I'm trying to picture an Orky version of his take on Alexander the Great... and it is awesome. Though I'm not so sure he'd be kind to my little blue buddies.

Now that I've read it, The Maze Runner would make a pretty cool anime. I can especially imagine anime Newt really well.
No you can't call me Jar(i) I am not a glass containerWait, what about a James Bond anime adaptation?
It'll have to be better than James Bond Jr.!
Lets see:
- Giant, ill-defined, fantasy-ish world?
- OP special-and-unique snowflake protagonist who spends alot of time screaming?
- stupid harem antics?
The Wheel of Time come on down!
Ok, I know those arn't really unique to anime or anything. Still funny though

From what I've heard of it, it sure does seem animeworthy! On the other hand, I suppose I haven't heard all that much...
No you can't call me Jar(i) I am not a glass container, : Ahem...
(C'mon, the masses of Tsunderes, new power levels being pulled out of the author's ass, iffy gender politics, and looooong length make it a perfect fit!)

First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win.Sorry. My memory kinda sucks.
I'll try to make up for it.
- School Setting?
- +Fighting?
- token female character?
- token OP mini-moe rival character?
- OP celibate hero with issues with sister issues?
It's...Ender's Game
Just change the fighters to gundams or something and your all set. :)
Honestly, that could actually be cool if done right.
Neuromancer animated by Production I.G.
Another vote for Snowcrash as well, though I think that Madhouse would be the best studio for the job.
Judo is my waifuFor some reason, I can't help but think that Malazan Of The Fallen would be pretty good as an anime.
Another Western work that should be an anime: Tolkiens Legendarium.
@85: Isn't it widely considered that Evangelion was based on Ender's Game?
Join my forum game! After watching a few episodes, I think Jem could make for a good anime. Sure, the cast would probably have to be aged down to teenagers but I can still see the core concept intact with the hologram creating super computer and Evil Diva rivals whose acts of sabotage never seem to get them arrested.

The cast aren't teenagers already?
To be honest, I can't tell how old they are suppose to be. Jerrica is apparently old enough to inherit her father's record company.
To the people suggesting Megas XLR: That series is already an homage/a parody of Japanese Super Robot anime. Bringing it back to Japan seems rather pointless.
If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it from
The MLP example is confusing given it's got a manga volume already. The other franchise's cartoons would work as anime as well.
