So we're not here to discuss the Greek letter Pi then?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. All I know about /mu/ is to stay away from it.
For we shall slay evil with logic...I don't get them. When music is so personal, and I like not what you like but what I like, it is nearly impossible to have a thread.
Besides, music is not even visual.
Album covers.
I dislike the rampant prissy self-righteousness but they can choose some really good stuff now and then. It's worth a browse every few months, but certainly not a regular residence.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Agreed.
Tried making a Mew thread once, and it went nowhere.
It sort of forfeits the 'image board' thing. It's more just about anonymous music discussion. Oftentimes images are used to start the discussion up though. (last.fm collages .etc.)
I really don't find it that bad... Of course there are a lot of morons, but there are morons in every online community. You've just gotta ignore the idiotic posts, then you can find a lot of interesting discussion.

You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat!I mean, they're half the reason that people know about Have A Nice Life, and Wire's 154 and Bugskull's Phantasies and Senseitions are on one of their "patrician essentials" lists, so I can't fault them when it comes to collectively knowing their shit. They can just be kind of snide about it. But that's 4chan for you.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Yeah, it's good that practically everyone on there will at least know of the 'entry-level' bands in every genre, whether or not it's mainstream. That leads people to believe that anything they haven't heard of doesn't exist or is completely insignificant though, but as you said, that's 4chan for you.
"I thought Djent was just a band" -Physical StaminaSo, if I said that I like some Wire, I would be accepted, but, if I then said I liked ABBA's The Visitors or some Bee Gees' Disco tunes, I would probably be called 'peasant' or something like that, right?
Yeah, probably. They generally really get taken by this weird groupthink, where personal attacks, or attacks on the fandom of a band are taken as valid criticisms of the music.
"I thought Djent was just a band" -Physical Staminai never would have heard of machine girl if not for /mu/. so its awesome for that.
its also a good place to spam your favourite song lyrics in all caps in related threads
i dont know where to start secret movie club for cool ppl
Let's discuss /mu/, or the 4chan music board, (if you're a pleb that didn't know that already.)
I'm curious, are there any other visitors to /mu/ on this wiki? If so, get in here and let's call each other plebs.
