Does Not Illustrate: Produce Pelting

Image recently added where there was none. It doesn't do a terrible good job at illustrating the trope, ice cream not figuring amongst the usual pelted products, and there's nothig suggesting a performance.

A bit of googling provided this interesting photograph. The watermark could easily be cut from the bottom and the picture still usable.

The current looks like a cooking accident to me.

There are loads of possible images for this. I like the suggestion.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

The suggestion is not usable, it's not okay to remove watermarks.

Current isn't even an example. It should be removed from the examples as well. It's actually really hard to find an image, since this is this real event in Italy hogs a Google search. This was all I could find: [1]

I like 5.1 the most, there.

The photo is right out. Cropping off a watermark is not at all kosher.

Squidward is ok.

5.1 is great.

5.2, middle row of panels is good.

5.3, panels 1 & 2 is great.

[up] No. This is a form of showing disapproval with a performer, like jeering. It's not just throwing food.

The current image misses the point of the trope; they're not performing at all.

Squidward is not bad, but I don't like how there's only one small tomato still visible amid the carnage; the rest of it just looks like a bunch of vague red splotches.

5.1 is good, albeit different, since it shows the thrower rather than the performer.

I'm opposed to 5.2 on the grounds that it's a bit hard to tell that the little green ovals are actually grapes without Garfield's saying so.

5.3 could work, I guess. It might be worth considering panels 2 + 3 as well as panels 1 + 2.

5.1. Also going to look a little sharper if the size is reduced.

Seems like we have consensus on both caption and image, so they are both up, potholed and tagged; requesting closure.

eta: Image Links page is up as well.
