The current imagine is... I don't know. I can kind of get the trope vibe from it at a glance, but at the same time, I feel like this is something that can only be understood properly if you've seen the show the guy is from. (Which I haven't.) As such, I feel like there could be a better imagine that properly illustrates the trope.

Classic JAFAAC, and no AAC at that...it needs to go, regardless of replacement. Would a pic of Hodor carrying that kid around count for this?

I don't think the current looks like a simpleton at all. Pull.

Not impressed by the suggestion in 3. Doesn't look particularly friendly.

[up] Yeah, an actual shot from Go T would be better.

I think that expression makes him look like a simpleton. I'm not sure about the kind hearted part. Is that from NBC?

Not sure what we can get with Hodor. It's hard to find a shot that shows that he's simple, or kind, though he's certainly an example. I was thinking Soos. The guy is such a nice character, but he tends to do a lot of stupid things (even if his actual intelligence is rather ambiguous). In this pic, the smile shows the kindheartedness; the flaming computer shows the simpleton.

[up] I like that one. He looks very dopey yet friendly.

I see neither kindhearted or simpleton from either pic.

I can see it, somehow ... a somewhat dumb facial expression. Methinks the friendly is lacking though.

Not sure if I'd want to use a scan of a poster. More SO0$: [1][2][3][4](Diferent on page. Could get better quality) [5][6][7]

Clocking due to inactivity.

I'm actually okay with the current; I think his expression and gesture convey enough information that it's better than nothing.

No to the Simpsonsish!Hodor image; he doesn't look kindhearted and there's no indication he's a simpleton.

7 is... eh, the first thing I thought of was that he had done it on purpose, but I can see that the image might work. My favorite of Soos is 13.1, which I think is better than the current.

Can't get 11 to work.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Various images in 13 are good for me.

I'd say, of the ones in 13, 13.7 gets across the "kindhearted" part best.

Should we add the current, or not bother since it's the default if everything fails?

Seriously? Well, does anybody else have any suggestions?

If everything fails, including the current, is that equivalent to a BUPKIS judgment? It looks like the current is doing even worse than the Soos suggestions.

In this case, yes, BUPKIS would seem to be the route to go.
