I've been feverish and gone all weird a few times. I suspect my willingness to eat pretty much anything that's put in front of me has contributed to this.
One notable time I thought my pillow was sneakily drinking my orange juice and that little brown goblins were living in a huge thorny plant that had mysteriosly grown out of the toilet.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Sometimes I get trapped in one of those dreams where you keep waking up but it's still a dreram.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatI underwent one when I was getting surgery and was put on ketamine. I can't remember much of what happened, but I know it involved an existential crisis of sorts.
(Spoilered for Squick)
One night — well, morning, it was 5 AM — I hadn't gotten any sleep, and I was sick. I freaked out because I saw massive spiders burrowing and twisting their way out of my feet. It turned out that I just needed to shave.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI managed to have an in-universe one in a dream last night. I was in a grocery store and all of a sudden, everything got all weird and colorful and I felt like I was swimming.
One time I had food poisoning and thought there were ants crawling on my toilet seat. (There were, of course, no ants, as I discovered when lifting the toilet seat to puke.)
Another time I had a friend over and we'd had a good bit of vodka and I could SWEAR my friend was sitting on my bed. Said friend was in the other room on the sofa sound asleep.
Stupid doomed timeline...I once watched Apocalypse Now while I had a really high fever. It was an... interesting experience.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...I've had times where I'm not sure if I'm in my bed or standing in the middle of a seemingly infinite green field, with perfectly cut grass. I tend to fade in and out of reality, though sometimes they blend together. Things usually end up seeming like they're in slow motion as well.
Anyone ever had any notable moments involving Mushroom Samba? Whether it was sickness or drug induced or otherwise?
I'll start. The night before I realized I was coming down with the flu, I woke up in the middle of the night and Yoshi's Island music and sfx was playing in my head, and I became convinced that I had become a Yoshi (I thought my skin was blue and scaly in the dim room) and that there were Yoshi eggs in my room in various places. I wound up snapping out of it after an hour.
Another time, I woke up during the night and thought the Kids Next Door were all in my room asleep in sleeping bags.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."
