Aside from the first two seasons of Ren And Stimpy the only things of his I really enjoyed were his Jetsons shorts for Adult Swim, which were Actually Pretty Funny.
His Yogi Bear shorts weren't that bad either. There were some clever parts in them.
Other than that, though... Not much.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."The only work I didnt really enjoy that he was involved in was the Ripping Friends. And that had some serious Executive Meddling.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!Doesn't John Kricfalusi appreciate himself enough already?
More directly to the point, it'd be nice to see him sane up enough to actually start working again. MLP: the Kricfalusi season.
I'm imagining a ponyfied version of this:
And I am laughing.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."John K. hates everything, and MLP must not be an exception.
Well, he doesn't hate Bob Clampett, early Hanna Barbera, Cow And Chicken...
Aside from that though, he's a curmudgeon.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."he also enjoys Mike Judge's work.
Supports cartoons being cartoony! That's something I never imagined would happen.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Well, philosophically, I can greatly appreciate his disdain for model sheets, although (like in many cases) I think he takes it too far. I view model sheets similar to how I view grammar guides in writing. You can go away from the guides, and in fact there are times when it'll improve the work. But going away from the guides says something specific every time you do it, so make sure it says what you want it to say.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. He may actually be a fan of mlp, considering this photo.◊
My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013You know, I knew somehow that Stimpy was a Brony.
It just seems... in his nature, somehow.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."John K also likes Uncle Grandpa.
I notice no one mentioned the "Close But No Cigar" music video.

I haven't seen a lot of the man's works but I do respect him as a talented artist.
Also, about that little talk about a John K. helmed MLP season... don't we already have a fan series that's pretty much that concept?
I would be lying if I don't take off of him, both in terms of art style and in terms of personality.
So you have daddy issues and spend your time formulating animation systems that don't work?
Just kidding, though let's be honest, while I consider John K. a very influential animator, he's kind of an Insufferable Genius.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Isn't Cans Without Labels still not finished yet? And didn't it just deliver the goods backers were promised?
I mean by the fact I have a pretentious viewpoint of animation and tend to think everyone around me is more interested in my long winded critique than they really are. I also tend to critique stuff I respect like I hate it (John K doesn't seem to hate other Looney Tunes work such as Chuck Jones', just he finds it a lot more flawed and undeserving of stealing Clampett's thunder than it's usually treated, he punctuates that negative a lot however).

Well, Clampett did have a shorter tenure at the studio than Chuck Jones did.
Though he did go on to create Beany And Cecil and make an entire documentary about Bugs Bunny.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I think it's a sort of Fan of the Underdog disposition, and I definitely have it too. It's when you think you have the minority viewpoint and punctuate it as much as possible, sometimes only ruining your case in the process.
Admitedly he is right to think Looney Tunes doesn't exactly endorse itself well, and it's not just Clampett's work either. Hell even for Jones, you'd think the only cartoons he ever made were "Rabbit Fire" and "Duck Dodgers" most of the time.

What about "What's Opera, Doc?"
Personally, I'll fight for anything that's underrated.
This does require you take some potshots at the overrated, and fans of the overrated inevitably get mad... what a mess.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I don't see "What's Opera Doc?" getting rehashed every time Bugs makes a new short, it is in almost every Bugs video collection however.
Most of his blogs I often read I find a bit bloated and over opinionated, but end up agreeing with them to some degree. They even have some influence in how I think of treating characters in stories.
Take this analysis of Bugs Bunny for example:
http://johnkstuff.blogspot.co.uk/2009/12/best-bugs-pre-tude.html
If I had an audience I'd probably make a ton of blogs ten times as bad and over far more trivial details.

"Kill the Wabbit" has pretty much permeated popular culture. There are a lot of people who only know "Ride of the Valkyries" because of it. It's one of those iconic Looney Tunes moments.
I kinda want to have my own fanbase that'll agree blindly with everything I say.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."It's still only one of about five or so shorts that get treated as the series' entire filmography though.
I'm mixed to that opinion. I like having someone see my point, but I like debating and arguing. I'm a contrarian.

Let's get together and talk about everything John K! Whether it's Ren and Stimpy, Cans without Labels, his work with Baskhi, commercials, etc. All is welcome ^^
I hope this doesn't turn hateful. If it does, im positive it'll get closed quick.
