I don't think it's trolling unless you're deliberately trying to see heads roll.
Like, "Yeah, X character is the best character in Y game, and anyone who thinks otherwise is clearly wrong."

Eh.You can't argue about how great a certain character is or how to use an weapon outside of it's intended use without facing some serious recoil nowadays. Even if the "troll" had an valid point, simply saying that he's wrong or using the Chewbacca Defense isn't the right way to maintain a debate.
Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakUm, the folks who accuse such people of trolling aren't trying to debate, they're breaking the debate because they don't want anyone else to have new or better ideas than the current norm.
This, it's a troll tactic on it's own.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but why is attempting to invent a better gaming strategy is et with hostility anyways? When all it does is show's an player's opinion on how they play the game.

Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakIt annoyed me, back when I played the Assassins Creed multiplayer, how people would abandon all pretense of stealth and just sprint across rooftops, rather than try to blend in. To me, that breaks the tension, and creates Fake Difficulty, especially because the counter-ability was piss poor in Brotherhood.
But some might argue that was just a new strategy for dealing with your hunter/prey. I can't tell every AC player to stop doing that, but I won't support that sort of playstyle either. Like camping, it's a perfectly valid strategy.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).I'm going to play devil's advocate here.
Occasionally at higher level play, after the meta has been given time to develop, the ins and outs of most of the game's mechanics get analyzed thoroughly enough that inferior strategies are met with immediate disdain for even being suggested. That mainly stems from people not wanting to welcome newer players (they might see it as babysitting), or when a strategy is so obviously worthless that anyone even bringing it up might actually be trolling.
Where I'm concerned, the entire attitude is stupid (inclusivity is best for any community).
The intention is key. For example: was this thread created for the purpose of being a bait for trolls?
Being reasonable always helps, as does acknowledging that one's opinion isn't in the majority.
No, it was created as a civilied discussion about this trend

Answer no master, never the slave Carry your dreams down into the grave Every heart, like every soul, equal to breakHow'd you mean that, Melon? That I was trolling by generalizing it, or that the people shutting down conversation are trolls themselves?
Complaining About Complaining... about complaining? How meta. And how utterly useless as a topic, save for spleen-venting, which we don't permit here.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
This is something that I REALLY need to get off my chest right now, so bear with me. So what if I use a playstyle like the Cold Sniper routine with an Mighty Glacier? All that matters, is that I'm sharing my thoughts on how I play the game, not how everyone should play the game in a uniform manner. Why can the average player invent a new "fair" playstyle that was actually successful, but Internet Backdraft turns the said game plan into a Flame War because that isn't how the game was traditonallplayed. I mean, MM Os exist for the enjoyment of the majority, not for the harassment of the extremely creative. Opinions on this?
