As much as I'm not thrilled about T-Ray either, we only see Wade after he's already become a mercenary. In theory he could have committed identity theft prior to that... for some reason.
Still, Deadpool doesn't have all that many recurring villains, and even fewer that are available right now. It's more likely he'll be involved in an X-Force operation, making way for their own spinoff... of a spinoff... of a spinoff. That's like spinoffs cubed.

"A fourth wall break inside a fourth wall break? That's like...sixteen walls!"
They're going to have to try really hard to screw up the sequel, so I'm hopeful that it's going to be one of the first in years not to be a bit of a disappointment.
I hope they get the same crew to do the credits again though. Those guys were brilliant.
T-Ray is one of his villains I'm least fond of.
I keep thinking that the best villain for him is Black Swan, who was only a bad guy for one arc and part of another, but the main thing is that he's Deadpool's equal and opposite as a mercenary, in that Wade is the bumbling, idiotic mercenary buffoon who fucks shit up and has a foul, pop-cultured mouth. Black Swan is the cultured, suave, intellectual mercenary who speaks of Beethoven's Ninth and classic poetry. Whilst Deadpool is deliberately ridiculous, Black Swan takes himself absurdly seriously, and the primary reason Swan hates him is that he views killing as a "gentleman's game" to be executed with finnesse, which Pool lacks, so he's personally offended.
He serves as both an archenemy and a Straight Man, which is optimal for a Deadpool movie.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I just want the next movie to open with him fighting Hit-Monkey. Big action sequence. No (or at least barely any) explanation.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.OHMYGOD YES. Hit-Monkey is a definite must-have, and surely the execs would spot the marketing potential in a sharp-suited monkey assassin, think of all the memes and merchandise you could spin from that. I want to see Deadpool fanboying the Cat as well.
Also, the whole Blue Man Church (whose actual name I forget) from the first arc of Cable & Deadpool seems a pretty decent way to combine the two.
"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."I think Hit-Monkey as a The Dragon to the main villain. Completely unexplained, and Deadpool just stops dead on his tracks every time he sees him, completely befuddled. In the climax he has a Heel–Face Turn when the main villain tries to pay him with bananas and he's deeply offended by that, switching sides.
And he'd have a Equilibrium style Gun Fu scene against random mooks to the tune of Don't Let Me Misunderstood.
Do it, Fox.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Well, this was unexpected. Goodness knows how this will affect the film because I sure don't.
Well that is almost always bad.
How much input did Miller have on the original film?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?He was the director of the movie and his company Blur Studios is the company that leaked the test footage.
He was going to write the sequel. Fox put him in charge of another franchise.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureHuh.
Might it be because of Fox meddling again, hence the "creative differences"?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? The report said it was because of creative differences with Ryan Reynolds. Although it also said that the split was amicable, since he just went to work for another Fox property.
But yeah, they really do need to bring in a great director. They still have the same writers (and Ryan Reynolds), but the director brings a lot to the table, too.
In the original movie, judging from the leaked script and what we have to say from behind the scenes, the primary output was of the writers and improv on the part of the main actors. The director is great, of course, but the team they still have (writers and improv actors) means it'll at least retain the same spirit.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Here is the reported reason for Tim Miller's exit
Miller also wanted Kyle Chandler to play Cable but Ryan Reynolds didn't want him to play Cable.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureIt can go in just about any direction. What made the first film work was that everyone was on board with the approach and supported each other through all the ups and downs of the production process, specifically when it came to the budget getting slashed repeatedly and having to drop several action sequences. Since the sequel is obviously going to get a bigger budget, it sounds like Miller was interested in lampooning the hyperstylized action movies a la Transformers, The Fast and the Furious or The Avengers.
The direction in the first film was confident but not particularly outstanding. It was mostly letting Reynolds riff at anything and everything and filming the rest like a music video (most of the film is montages of one form or another).
I'd say that the inventive action sequences are also a big part of why the first film worked and that was pretty much all Tim Miller.
Anyone want to help get Quentin Tarantino to direct Deadpool 2?
EDIT: Actually, I'd have to concur with the thought that a lot of the appeal for the first movie was its sense of shameless, high-octane violence that you wouldn't dream of seeing in an MCU movie.
I seriously pray that raunchy/toilet humor isn't the only Deadpool thing Ryan Reynolds loves about the character.

Nope.
And hell nope. He'd be rotten. He's too much of a fanboy to be able to have any objectivity, and he has the classic uber-fanboy's lack of sense of humour about the stuff he likes.
So the split was over who was going to play Cable? That's interesting.
To clarify your words:
No, you don't wish to see Mr. Tarantino directing Deadpool 2 and no, you don't think Ryan likes Deadpool just for the raunchy/toilet humor?
Part of it. That was the final issue that lead to the divide.
It was also differences in approach Tim Miller owns a visual effects company he wanted to do a more stylized sequel. Ryan Reynolds wanted more raunchy humor.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
Not sure T-Ray is really that great an idea. We saw exactly what happened to Wade, and we know that Deadpool is Wade Wilson. Take out all of that and T-Ray isn't much more than some generic baddie for me.
