To be fair, over half of those games are mine and I've only finished seven so far.
Citadel Miniatures paint in a wide variety of colors: check.
Contingent of Bretonian Knights: check.
Total number of Knights painted: 2
WTF adulthood?
If you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy, have some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste.More like I have at least a dozen games I want to own and play, but am too broke from supporting my children and Cub Scouts to buy any of them, let alone play them.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswI pay more in taxes than all Congressmen?! WTF ADULTHOOD DX!!!

Time is so generous to us and, yet it's still such a cruel thief! -MikakoMy WAAAAGH! still hasn't managed to get off the ground. Tragic, really. My poor Warboss is getting all atrophied.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Did some house-cleaning. Dug up some PC games that I bought around 5 years ago (at a clearance sale) and never got around to playing. My computer is newer than them.
...WTF, Adulthood.
(Also, isn't this technically a complaint thread?)

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.Just realize that over the last 10 years I have driven 4 cars into the ground on the same 8 mile stretch of road. WTF adulthood?
I've been pressed into serving on a Grand Jury for the next six months.
W.T.F. adulthood?!!
And on games: Now that I can afford every game I want I'm too tired to pay them all. WTF adulthood. Up yours.

i. hear. a. sound.Discovered a lovely little proviso in the ACA that requires everyone to carry pediatric dental coverage, regardless of whether you have children or not. And the chat representative couldn't go into the reason why in any more depth than "I'm sorry, it's the law".
Fresh-eyed movie blog^ That's hardly the only thing that people have to pay for even if they themselves will never have use of it. Those who don't need those services pay for them anyway to subsidize those who do use them.
TLDR: It's a feature, not a bug.
(And that's as far as I'm going, because it's nowhere near on-topic for this thread. Let's just leave it at "I'm not exactly a cheerleader for ACA or the party responsible for passing it.")
All your safe space are belong to TrumpIf it's a subsidy, it ought to be hidden in the numbers, not "you have this coverage you yourself will never use".
I can accept a subsidy.

Fresh-eyed movie blogKind of got forced to save long-run money. I got renters' insurance quotes and calculated that Geico and Farmers' both cost the same as monthly payments, but I could save $55 by paying it all up front at Geico. I decided I'd rather pay a little bit monthly and went with Farmers', since the monthly was less there, but they wouldn't let me start a plan as far out as I wanted to and Geico would, so I went back to Geico and paid in full.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI now have health insurance, but I don't have health insurance. My coverage ended at the top of this month, my new plan begins at the top of next.
And the month after that, it will probably change again because I'll be moving next month.
Fresh-eyed movie blog> Is a mum with a steady 9-to-5 job with a contract, a degree, good credit, and pays all bills on time > Would have to pay "underage driver surcharge" for renting a car
So I'm an adult ... but not really ... what?
How the fuck does that even work?
Are you under 25? It's usually 25 to rent a car.
25 is the last achievement unlock milestone. Insurance rates drop dramatically if you can demonstrate you've managed not to get killed for 25 years.

Fresh-eyed movie blogI'll be 24 this November. It's the bit of the States that baffles me - in the UK you can rent a car if you're 17+. (Also, assuming there IS such a thing as a points-based adulting system, don't I get extra points for keeping me AND a tinier human being alive?)
It's not points-based adulting in the states. It's purely age-based, unless you go the legal route of having yourself declared an "emancipated minor" and even that doesn't eliminate all the age-based criteria.
Basically:
- 16:
- you can get a driver's license (although many states still keep limits on when you can drive and who you can have as passengers after 16)
- You can get a job without having to follow the restrictions on number of hours worked in a week or times you are scheduled to work that apply to younger workers. (In some states, you cannot work for a non-family-owned business until you are 16, or you can, but you need to get a work permit.)
- 17:
- be questioned by the police without a parent present
- Give blood
- get a private pilot's license
- 18:
- You can vote,
- sign a contract without having your parent or guardian co-sign,
- sue and be sued in your own name,
- live independently of your parents without their consent.
- In most states, you can marry without your parents consent at 18.
- Males need to register for the draft, and could be conscripted into the military if the draft is reinstated.
- The legal system regards you as an adult, and if arrested you cannot be charged or sentenced as a minor anymore.
- You can legally consume tobacco in most states.
- In many or most states, you can buy or sell a firearm and ammo.
- you are eligible for jury duty.
- at 21:
- You can legally buy and consume alcohol.
- By 21, in all states, the list of things you can do at 18 in some states apply across the board.
- 25:
- You can rent a car in your own name. This is determined by the rental companies, not the government, and is based on insurance rates.
- your auto insurance rates will probably drop if you have a clean driving record. Again, the is a company policy, not a state or Federal one.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Huh. By age sixteen, you can join the army or get married (with parental consent) and apply for full-time jobs that earn at least minimum wage. Also, you can drive if you receive disability benefits. I think it's a bit odd that in the US you can legally own/sell firearms before you're allowed to drink. (Adulthood is very, very scary and complicated.)

So, I went through my Tumblr notes regarding last week's XCOM Declassified photoshoot.
It took me three months to build the backpack. Most of it was achieved during the two-week holiday. WTF, adulthood?!
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisMinor correction on Maddy's post: You can legally purchase a long gun (rifle or shotgun, as long as it doesn't have a pistol grip and no shoulder stock) from a federally licensed firearms dealer at 18, but for pistols it's 21.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpPoint about my list: Most of those things are under state control, not Federal, so they'll vary by state.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Electric should be straightened out now. I thought my ID confirmation failed because they tried to run a credit check, but the customer service person said it was probably because I used an Indiana driver's license number instead of my SSN. If they can only run license numbers for Texas and perhaps surrounding states, why make other states an option?
Age discussion: around here, I was eligible for a learner's permit at age 15, but I didn't get it until I started driving school the summer before I turned 16, which worked out because at the time eligibility for a license was something like 16 years and 90 days plus 180 days driving on the permit. Everyone else in my class had signed up as soon as they turned 15 and were going to be stuck on their permit for a whole year, but it turned out that my permit matured almost exactly when I turned the right age. We have a graduated license program, so until I turned 18 I had to have a licensed adult 21 or over in the passenger's seat if I were to have any other passengers.

Fresh-eyed movie blogMy poor poor neglected sewing machine.
DoodlesI need to pay my health insurance bill. It is due on Saturday. I have to register on my provider's website, and it takes my ID number no problem. However, they handle billing on a separate website, and that website does not recognize my ID number. Okay, I call customer service. The computer that answers the phone doesn't recognize my ID number either. It is too late in the day to talk to a real person.
I also need to change my address. The provider's website has a form to do this, but it won't accept changes because "we do not currently support this for you".
At least I was able to pay my phone and electric bills today.
Fresh-eyed movie blogAll I ever wanted was that satellite filled with Pringles made to destroy France.
...Don't ask me how that works, I was a pretty weird kid.
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.
Remember all of those things we always said we'd do, then invested money in, but have absolutely NO TIME for. This is where we lament them.
