[up]I thought that might be the case. It can be linked in the Living Statue examples so it wasn't a waste.

It is what it is.

Let's see if I remember how to do this (it's been a while). This may not really be the trope, but perhaps it illustrates the trope anyway?

My suggestion:

[up]I don't think so. The trope seem to come into play when the protagonist is aware of the creature's existence (usually trying to either hunt down or evade them) before it suddenly reveals itself to them.

Clock is set. If we can't agree on a pic, then I vote to pull the current.

Too dark and blurry to see what's going on.

Would tweaking the brightness/contrast help or is it a resolution issue?

I tried looking for something along the lines of fanart of Queen Gohma where she is hidden, and Link thinks he's alone, but alas, I found nothing.

I might consider doing another illustration if anyone has any ideas for one.

[up] I was thinking of that. I think that would be a very good idea.

[up]What could we do to make this clear enough?

Also, just to be clear, I'm not sure of who all is artistically inclined ([up] except Rethkir, and Paktra, I wildly assume??? :D) and wants to illustrate as well or in addition. ^^; I'm open to all possibilities, including collaboration.

Oh, no. I took a graphic design course in high school, and I'm decent at Photoshop, but I'm no artist. But I do have a good idea of what we can do.

A short 2-4 panel comic, probably a Zelda fan comic illustrating the Gohma fight, where Link is wandering around the boss area confused (one or two panels), then he looks up in a smaller vertical second panel to the right, zoomed in on him. Cue Oh, Crap! face, then show Queen Gohma above looking down and menacing in third panel on the bottom, which is the largest. Make her look really threatening, or perhaps add humor with her waving high or something, or make Link say something humorous like Bring My Brown Pants.

Something along those lines. It doesn't have to be Zelda, but why not? It's the example I always think of. I think something like that would be our best option. But I personally don't have the skill to do that. I know you do, Lakjia, but you do whatever you want. And of course, you don't have to do anything either.

[up] I'd love to try. I have a general idea of what to do, but I've never..."ehem"... played any Zelda games. starts sweating So I don't know which scene that is.

If there's a video of it, that'd be great.

Even if it's not Zelda related, the concept could be the same.

EDIT: Okay, I saw the video on a blind play through. That's pretty cool. I think I would make it so that Link was walking around for hours, and he falls down on his back in exhaustion and looks up. Then the boss battle triggers and Gohma falls on top of him.

If you have Link wandering around for hours unable to figure out what to do, I have the perfect line for him to be thinking or saying to himself before he finally looks up.

Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. The only thing we really have consensus on is that the old pic is bad, so it's pulled.
