Gaiman is also friends with Tim Minchin.
Morrison also has connections with My Chemical Romance. I think he appeared in one of their videos, but I really dislike the band, so I don't care to know which one.
Of American comedians involved with comics, I can only think of Brian Posehn, who like Ross and Lee is also a comic book nerd. Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian also wrote a Lobo book once.

For we shall slay evil with logic...Here's one for you:
One of the first jobs Sam Kieth had was inking Fish Police. Kieth is also a cousin of David Feiss, the guy that created Cow and Chicken.
The animation industry, bizarrely enough, has a lot of crossover with the world of underground comics.
Sam Henderson started out in underground comics. He worked on the third season of Sponge Bob Square Pants, and also had a long-running comic strip in Nickelodeon Magazine. Same with Kaz, who was a pretty big name in underground comics before he worked on Sponge Bob.
Peter Hannan, creator of Cat Dog, was also an underground cartoonist - in a sense, much like Matt Groening. He drew a long-running comic strip and covers for a socialist magazine!
(A lot of underground cartoonists seem to have worked at Nick Magazine. Among the other names besides those I mentioned: James Kochalka, Bobby London and Kim Deitch have all had comics there. I don't know why they all seemed to gravitate towards Nick Magazine...)
Twentington: Sam Kieth also helped out with the story for the pilot episode of Cow And Chicken.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."
I've recently become interested in connections between comic book writers and celebrities, especially comedians. Some of them make sense, but others suprise me.
Neil Gaiman knows a bunch of people including Lenny Henry and Jonathan Ross. Ross also seems pally with Mark Millar. Grant Morrison and Frankie Boyle have complimented each others work. Alan Moore is friends with Stewart Lee and Josie Long.
Of the comic book writers I think Moore comes out of this best and Morrison worst.
I know some American comedians have written comics, although I haven't heard of any of them because they aren't Chris Rock. Are there any other connections you Yanks know about? Or is it another eccentricity of that wave of British comic book creators to be hanging out with comedians?
Am I a good man or a bad man?
