So I'm sure someone may have had the same idea before, but what about Frozen meets Long Live the Queen?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Hey, guys. So as of right now, I'm pretty happy with the first half on my ginormous fanfic, and I've moved on to revising the second half. There are going to be some major changes forthcoming, but for now I'm just polishing up the writing a bit.
Anywho, I felt like so long as I'm changing stuff up, it might be time to come up with a better title for the fic. "Trials of Elsa" is a perfectly servicable title, of course. It tells you all you need to know about the fic: Elsa's the main character, and she's going to suffer some hardships. The problem is, it seems a little too generic. Like, don't all protagonists suffer some kind of hardship? Heck, I might as well have just called the story "The Adventures of Elsa," just to make it as bland as possible.
I've been batting around some different title ideas. I think "Frozen Wight" has a nice ring to it. It's an Antagonist Title that clues the reader in that the story involves an undead monster, and it has literal meaning since the wight's a frostbitten corpse. On the downside, it doesn't make it clear that Elsa's the main protagonist (which isn't really that big a deal), and also it kinda makes it sound like this is the companion fanfic to Frozen Black or something.
"Trial by Ice" also has a nice ring to it, but when I asked my brother for advice, he said, "Absolutely no puns," so I don't know...
What do you guys think? Any suggestions?

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon....dude, I named my fic after a numerical coincidence. Don't ask me.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Wight's fine.
Of course, I go for the simplistic and not always descriptive titles myself.
Nous restons ici.Alright, well hopefully everyone's fine with "Frozen Wight" for Trials of Elsa and "Anatomy of a Snowwoman" for Trials of Mary because I just went through all the hassle of redirecting the trope pages and such.
Not sure what I'll name Trials of Anna whenever I get around to writing it, but I've already decided Trials of Fritz will be named Fritz: The Musical.
EDIT: Okay, all the pages seem to be redirecting fine except for dmcreif's review. Ugh, I'm too tired to figure out how redirecting reviews works right now, so if someone can help me out with that, it'd be much appreciated.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I like the new title better. Honestly, the Anna-oriented sequel sounds like a breeding ground for many comedic possibilities, somehow involving the snowgies.
The cold never bothered me anywayAs for reviews, well, there might be a page on this website that tells you exactly how to reroute reviews.
The cold never bothered me anywayThe snowgies will be very prominent in it.
And now to change all the file names on my computer... *sigh*

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. The snowgies run loose and Anna has to somehow work with Kristoff to round them up....that's what I can imagine.
The cold never bothered me anywaySince Elsa's still sick, she'll still be making them every time she sneezes. Really, Frozen Fever gave no indication that she was gonna stop making Snowgies anytime soon...
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I presume Arendelle has something equivalent to the 25th Amendment that you're gonna invoke in that work.
The cold never bothered me anywayUhhh...
I'd just like to say a pet peeve of mine (honestly, possibly pushing into red flag direction) is fics that include the original work's title in their title. Just feels... unoriginal.
Then again, I am still the person who named my fic after a numerical coincidence, and didn't remember that Thirteen is an unlucky number.

They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver! No interest in Long Live The Queen scenarios?
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I think we're all of the opinion that both our available princesses have been through enough trauma.
Even if we have caused more trauma ourselves.
I feel like Frozen should get some leeway because it's a one-word title, though. AND it's an adjective, so adding a noun for it to describe seems like a natural progression.
Besides, if you didn't like the title, you had your chance to speak up. Too late now.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Mmm.
My memory might be faulty, but isn't the reveal of everything being the wight's fault a... well, reveal?
The story starts using the word "wight" and setting the wight up as a major threat around chapter 7 or so. I don't really see how the title gives anything away that isn't already quickly made clear to the reader.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon....haven't read the new version of the first chapters. That might be the problem here.
...really, why the hell did I call it "Thirteen"? At least it gives me sequel names...
Yeah, I write by throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks, so I'm really big on retroactively changing story details. It probably makes things a little confusing for people who read the older drafts, but what can I say, I like to tinker with my writing.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Honestly any scenario for successful coups in Arendelle is silly anyways. Only the princesses have any kind of legitimacy as rulers; you can't just waltz in and expect people to obey you, you have to make a case for it. Elsa has a better one than anyone else, and after her it's her sister, and after that it's...nobody. Plus after the stuff Hans pulled I don't fancy the chances of the locals accepting a foreign ruler anytime soon.
Nous restons ici.*cough* ONCE UPON A TIME *cough*
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. You make it sound like Arendelle has no nobility, backstabbing or not. There's also the military and bourgeoisie to account for. Their approaches might be much more subtle than murder, especially if the princesses are unskilled.
Foreign threats are less about coups than they are about outright invasion. Especially if other nations also have folk with supernatural powers.
At any rate, such a fic would focus on the time between the parents' death and the coronation. A closed castle? Who ran the country?

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Yeah, see, we actually see Arendelle's military, and it's about a dozen guys. As for other nobility, you're arguing it's there like...well, like it's there; I encourage you to point it out, because it's not obvious.
Arendelle's a pocket kingdom, like Monaco. I wouldn't expect much nobility at all.
Nous restons ici.Given the way the movie happens, it seems like the royal family of Arendelle consisted exclusively of the royal couple and their two daughters. No uncles, no cousins, no nobility. Then again, I regularly wonder how big Arendelle is actually. If it's a pocket kingdom, it could be justified to have a reduced royal family, but I bet even Monaco has a more extended family than that.

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.
So Chapter 18 of my fic has been released last week. I do admit that I did write myself in a corner a bit with the uneven narrative, as it's the shortest chapter thus far in order to get the narrative back on track.
And it's kinda surreal now that the fic has been cited twice now as being an inspiration for two others to make their own Tangled/Frozen crossover fics.
Tangled Adventures in Arendelle now has a Tropes page!
