Flip a coin, the moment it lands, you'll realise which one you really want.

I'd say go with your original idea.

I do actually feel as if there are a lot of scientists, though.

Granted, this RP is growing like Sonic the Hedgehog going backwards

@ Trip: This is the internet, you can find anything. Oh, I like your description better, but if you still want it here was what I could find that seemed to fit the categories of demon, chubby, and cute (though I guess that would be subjective). You would think the moeification of the firesage from dark souls would fit, but no...

@ Parable: I vote keep your character, but up to you.

@ Ragna: Huzzah!

How do you kill that which has no life?

Huh.

Well, I like my description better because this is a bikini free zone.

Wait, fuck.

And yeah Parable, you shouldn't chuck out a character just to be "unique", go with what you'll find fun!

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.

  • Name: Scholastica Vu
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 27
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: On a quest of discovery! Just imagine this but older.
  • Weapons: A wand which helps focus and direct her spells. Without it, her more powerful magic is more likely to have a splash effect and have unintended repercussions on the surrounding people and area.
  • Magic: A researcher who focused on studying the living world, Scholastica excels in Earth and Water magic. As a part of her particular field of study, she took an interest in Void magic as well. Anything else she'll only know the basics at best.
  • Personality: A confident woman with a love of travel. She likes to joke around but will be serious when it matters. She spends a lot of time with like minded people and sometimes forgets that not everyone is familiar with her line of work. Combined with her fast speech habits she tends to speak very fast with big words and leaves people wondering just what exactly she was trying to say.
  • Bio: Scholastica was born in Wildehaven though spent much of her childhood in Zardossa after her parents, a pair of merchants, decided to settle down there to open up a business. A lively child, she was often seen playing about with the other local children. When left to their own devices, the little group often had their own little adventures, which helped foster a sense of teamwork and honed their improvisation skills. When one of the children fell into a ravine it was Scholastica who devised a pulley to get him out.
    • During her adolescence her family took a trip back to Wildehaven, where it was discovered that A)Scholastica was hopeless with money, and B)She was fascinated with life. Compared to Zardossa, Wildehaven was like an oasis times 100. She returned home with stars in her eyes and a determination to learn all there was to know about the natural world. Years later an older Scholastica would attend one of the prestigious universities in Idris, first as a student, then as a staff member. When Professor Scholastica was not lecturing classes she was researching, conducting experiments, or doing fieldwork abroad.
    • When the Fragment drought started, naturally Scholastica and her work were effected. Now she was redoubled her efforts in the hope of understanding why the planet is dying and hoping for some way to stop it. Upon hearing of a ship that might be off to find the solution she went to join.

  • Name: Garret Dorn

  • Gender: Male

  • Age: 32

  • Race: Human

  • Appearance: Add a few runic tattoos and you've got a perfect likeness. Garret stands at roughly 6'6" tall and towers over most humans.

  • Weapons:

  • Magic: Some minor healing magic used to mend broken noses and such after fights.

  • Personality: Although he has a gruff exterior, Garret is a good man at heart who looks out for his friends and allies even if they don't see eye to eye all the time. Garret will always go out of his way to help those in need as well as fighting for what's right, even if it goes against the law.

  • Bio: Garret Dorn was born on the streets to a poor family barely making it by in the world. The oldest of four siblings, Garret quickly became protective of his younger brothers and sisters never backing away from a fight with anyone who might try to do them harm. One day during a street fight between Garret and an Orc who'd tried to steal food from his family, Garret caught the attention of a Dwarf by the name of Korgrim. Korgrim took Garret under his wing and taught him how to be more efficient when fighting with his fists as well as some minor healing magics. When Korgrim had taught Garret all that he could, he introduced Garret to the world of pit fighting. Korgrim's training helped Garret win his first match and earn him a fair bit of coin which Garret gave to his family to help them make ends meet. Garret's parents didn't care for his new occupation but tolerated it as it helped feed his younger siblings. During one unfortunate fight, Garret accidentally killed a fellow fighter and was arrested by the city guard when word reached them of the murder. Garret was exiled from his city for the crime, but continued his fighting career across the land and sending most of his earnings home to his family to help support them.

  • Name: Aurora Maxwell
  • Gender: Female
  • Age: 23
  • Race: Half-Elf
  • Appearance: One on the left!
  • Weapons:
    • One-handed broadsword
  • Magic: Gravitates toward Earth and Water elements more than anything so she's adept at protective magic, healing magic and some offensive but not terribly so.
  • Personality: Has bouts of paranoia whenever it comes to her work as seen with her refusal to outsource her discovery to the Euraia intellectual community. Other than that she's a clear-headed intellectual who prefers to talk out her problems rather than beat the crap out of someone. She has bouts of frustration when she can't actually do something, hates asking others for help when it comes to private matters and prefers the company of people who don't piss her off.
  • Bio: A girl with an elven father and human mother. The two of them lived in seclusion for most of their lives before coming to live in the port city of Rynhold. She's been primariliy a history buff her entire life so she followed in her mother's footsteps as an archaelogist. At the age of eighteen, she went to Paladaeva to study before coming back when she finished schooling at the age of twenty-one. When she came back to Rynhold she immediately left again to explore some unknown ruins where she found the tablet of the 'Songless Valkyrie' or however you translate those words as. (Personally Aurora goes with 'Unsung Hero' because it sounds more romantic). After working her bum off translating it, she realized that there is a connection with the Fragment Drought and the legend in the tablet. So that's where the Brave Frontier begins!

  • Name: Holland Adalwolf
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 25
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: THE ONE ON THE RIGHT
  • Weapons:
    • 2x Straight swords
  • Magic: Usually buffs himself with natural Aether for stronger blows with his blades and faster reflexes. Not very good at anything else outside of that.
  • Personality: Very nonsensical so often butts heads with Aurora so they barely come to any agreements. He's a gifted navigator, cartographer and architect since he went to Paladaeva to help flesh out those art/observation skills of his, so he's naturally a passionate man for the arts. He appreciates the world around him even if he can come off as a tad cynical.
  • Bio: Similar to Aurora in that the two went to the same school in Paladaeva, but different in age and history. Holland didn't have much in the way of family since he was raised in an orphanage in the same city he would eventually go to school in. He was the type of boy who preferred to be alone in crowds. He'd just walk and walk, observe the world around him then... one day he just got the urge to draw what he saw. That was his first step onto the path to his future. This one instance soon became hobby, then that hobby became habit. Soon he found himself in university where he met Aurora. The two became friends but separated after Aurora went home. Aurora sent this 'letter' to everyone that she could find. Of course, this caught the eye of Holland. Not because he cared about the world, because he didn't want Aurora doing something really stupid.

Obvious Expy is obvious.

  • Name: Sheikh al-Jabal, lit. Old Man of the Mountain.
  • Gender: Male.
  • Age: 53. He's old and it shows.
  • Race: Human.
  • Appearance: CHESTOH! He usually isn't frowning, though; it's much more common to find him smiling.
  • Weapons: Sheikh carries a large metal warhammer. It is strong enough to break boulders without being dented. He also carries a dagger for times when swing a large hammer around just isn't practical.
  • Magic: Sheikh is an accomplished pyromancer. His magic is focused on heat manipulation, with almost no flashy fireballs; he'd rather dry from the skin inwards with a sirocco wind than burn you to a crisp, though he is perfectly capable of lobbing the occasional BOOM around.
  • Personality: Sheikh is basically a goofy old man. He likes board games, drinking mint tea, and playing the flute. He also likes to goof around and generally make himself a nuisance. However, he has a serious side, and in the past he was a fearsome warrior and assassin; when the need arises he can act in a decisive manner. Even if he'd prefer drinking tea.
  • Bio: Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Quite a few years ago, the nation of Zardossa went through the 'we'll conquer our neighbours' phase. Sheikh served as its master of assassins, commanding their operations from a hidden oasis. The war didn't go well, though, and he was forced to go into hiding. He travelled the land, never staying in one place more than one night.
Since then, he left Zardossa and travelled the world. He met many people, always concealing his true nature. He took up the mantle of a mercenary at some point, though he more often went after tea than a monetary reward.
Having just delivered a crook with a bounty on his head to Rynhold's authorities, he is now ready for another adventure.

  • Name: Li Ying
  • Gender: Male
  • Age: 31
  • Race: Human
  • Appearance: This is totally a helmsman.
  • Weapons: Li carries a pair of magic-enhancing gloves on his person. Paired with his particular style of martial arts, these gloves make a difference by allowing his blows to pierce through armor.
  • Magic: Li is a practitioner of Aether magic, and combines both magic and body into a style of martial arts called Spirit Fist. By releasing Aether from the hands with each strike, it is possible to knock out or even block out the Aether of the opponent, disconnecting them from their own energy. With a technique such as this, every blow can be dangerous. Even merely blocking with one's hands can disable an opponent.
  • Personality: Li is a man of loyalty and a strong believer in professionalism. He will do anything the captain says short of killing himself. When not carrying out orders or just cruising at the helm, he's pretty laid back and friendly. He's always calm as well. There are few things under the sky that can make Li lose his cool.
  • Bio: Li wasn't super rich growing up, but he did have a happy childhood. The contributions for that goes to his best friend. Even though they did everything together, their ideologies were different. His friend wanted to become a knight, while Li himself decided to become a mercenary. Despite this, they still kept their relationship. Meanwhile, as a mercenary, Li had made a reputation for himself as a true professional. Life was good until Li took on a bad job. A duel by proxy. Who else to show up for the duel but his own best friend? Li, believing that his reputation was more important than anything in his line of work, fought his friend to the death and won. After that day, he began to slowly lose his drive until he quit being a mercenary altogether. Seeking for a new way to make a living, he turned instead to the voyage for the Fragment Drought cure, because where there was seafaring, there was bound to be treasure.
