I agree, the current image is just a face and a caption.
I like the first suggestion (1.1). The tiarra looks like it could be a part of magical or royal insignia. I also like that the woman and the cat both have violet eyes which implies something very unusual about her.
I really like 1.1 too.

Well, it's a wallpaper image I found by GIS-ing "purple eyes", so I don't know if it actually belong to any franchises.

No, they have to be purple for a reason and not just vague mysticism or for uniqueness.
I really like the one from A Song of Ice and Fire. She's obviously special if she has a dragon on her shoulder.

It can be any way of being special. Not sure about the first guy as I don't know it, but Daenerys' purple eyes mark that she comes from the royal family. The dragon is a nice touch.
I still prefer 1.1 because the purple colour is vivid and really easy to see, but Daenerys would be ok too.

Take a close look at 1.1...her eyes have cat pupils. It's not as evident in the resize, but it's still there. That said, I do like the Daenerys pic too.

I've just got to throw in my vote for 1.1 - it's subtle, but it's there, and to me shows it quite well.

Ooh, I didn't notice the cat pupils. I like 1.1 a lot more now.
Loving 1.1. The Splash of Color effect makes her eyes the focus of the pic, and the markings + Hellish Pupils is a good indicator of her specialness.
1.2 and 1.3 don't seem even "purple" as much as "same colour as everything". I am somewhat in support of 1.1.
