The catch is that their benefactor is doing everything in their power to ensure these maidens are unable to get their wishes granted because they are of better use to them as monstrosities and grotesqueries than as actual people.

A person is discovered to be immune to every superpower and be anti-magic. Rubble lands on this person? They spent a week in the hospital. Punched by super strenght? They No-Sell it. Powerful curse turns everyone in town into bunnies? Doesn't work on them. Death curse that can kill you where you stand? Death ray made by a mad science? Stepped on by a Kajiu? They walk if off. The Seer can't see this person, telepaths can't read their mind and to vampires they taste awful.

The government wants to study them. Superheros what them on the team and the villains want them dead.

They just want to live a normal life.

Forgive the lateness of this post, since we’re way past Halloween and approaching New Year’s. ^_^;;

One time, I had the idea of some of my characters going to the haunted house at a fair. The place is a really good one, chock full of Nightmare Fuel… and my characters laugh their butts off during the whole time. They have dealt with mutants, The Undead, demons, The Illuminati, and a few Eldritch Abominations.

There are no specific ideas about the plot, but the worldbuilding idea.

A society that is divided into five classes.

1. Masters who own slaves, while not obeying anyone themselves.

2. Their subordinates/slaves, who at the same time own slaves themselves.

Their slaves can be either slaves in the literal, formal sense of the word — or, for example, their wives and children, who are obliged to obey them in everything. (In general, I leave it up to the writer how much forms of oppression from our real world (patriarchy, for example) will be applicable here. Or maybe this general system of oppression is spread over individual Ancient Greece-like policies, in each of which it is implemented in completely different ways.)

3. Free people who can not be enslaved, but who are forbidden to own slaves themselves.

I would like to emphasize that they are still part of the system. Perhaps if they did not exist as a kind of cementing middle class, the system would no longer exist.

4. Slaves of slaves who are forbidden to subjugate anyone.

It is possible that they should not obey the masters of their masters — but it is more likely that they carry a double burden, forced to obey both the masters and their masters' masters.

But can't the first class masters to take away the slaves of their slaves by force, becoming their only masters? Well, probably, and maybe throughout history, someone has done so — but culture usually prevent this. The order of things is as it is, and its violators, even those at the top of power, will be condemned.

5. People who are outside the system.

Not really a class. Foreigners who are not covered by all these rules. Fighters against the system within the system. It is probably even possible for someone to be born without belonging to a certain class inside the system.

How such a system arose, there are possible options. For example, I think of colonization of distant planets, long space travel, during which an extremely rigid hierarchy of subordination developed on the ship — and which spread to the societies of descendants of colonists from this ship.

This whole topic is very sensitive, and I don't think I could have done it right. But it stayed in my head for so long that I had to share it with someone.

Someone builds a time machine for the purpose of changing some bad event in their past, only to find out that it's not possible to change any event that is part of the reason you went to the past in the first place. So instead, the time traveler starts roaming around the timeline kidnapping random people, making sure not to find out anything about them, and dropping them off at some point in their recent pasts. The reasoning being that since these people have gone back in time for reasons outside of their control, they can change whatever they want without it being paradoxical- and the ultimate hope is that, if one time traveler thought of this, maybe someone else thought of it entirely independently, and will by sheer coincidence show up to kidnap the first time traveler and bring them back in time, at which point they can make the change they want to make.

An Inverted Disguised Horror Story about a Cult Defector experiencing life in the outside world for the first time.

A deconstruction story about a Big Bad Wannabe who wants to a feared supervillain but is broken at every turn by his own arrogance. The story could explore why anyone would want to become a supervillain and why you would not to want to become one.

The Adventures of Herlock Sholmes. Featruing Dr What Jonson, Minecraft Sholmes and Majes Joriality.

OR...a modernized parody of Sherlock Holmes that runs on the fact that the parody name entered the public domain along with Arsene Lupin.

A character from one fantasy genre gets isekai'd into a fantasy world of a different genre (e.g. Westeros to Faerun, or vice versa)

The Multiverse - our hero has traveled and found another version of The Lost Lenore.

However, they are Amicable Exes because they realized that they would be better as friends because their friends from both realities gave both of them a "Reason You Suck" Speech about trying to date each other instead of dealing with their grief and they took it to heart.

The villains are a Battle Couple who are alternate version of the Hero and "Lenore" who didn't get called out. They are out to conqueror and raid the multiverse and it's implied that each as replaced their lover and friends after a You Have Failed Me moment.

Can the hero and "Lenore" defeat the evil dark version of themselves?

Historical Fantasy Isekai Novel where Generic Isekai Fanboy from Japan who got isekai'd to Early Modern Europe and story span from 1440s to 1830s and how Historical Fantasy Universe is so different than High Fantasy Universe that he used to read

Cultivation sect based in Viking era Germania, where the cultivators use runes as the basis of their qi manipulation. Three sects are modeled and after led by one of the Aesir. the Skyfire Thorn (Thor), the All Seeing Eye (Odin) and the Mistletoe Arrow (Loki, also the requisite demonic sect). The sect elders would be the other gods and goddesses of the Norse pantheon and each of them present as specific faction (Thorn is most of the Humans, Eye is Humans and Valkyries and Arrow is Humans and Frost Giants). Valhalla, Folkvangr and Helheim would be the names of the respective second endgames here.

A dungeon fantasy where the protagonists are the dungeon enemies fighting off teams of adventurers

A man discovers that a young woman he’s been hiring to babysit his son has been molesting him. He goes to the cops, but they won’t do anything because she’s attractive and the kid must have liked it. Out of desperation, the man decides to take action into his own hands.

An Immoral Reality Show, kind of like Kid Nation, where kids are forced to create their own society in the wilderness. The conditions rapidly deteriorate, but the network refuses to intervene, instead filming the chaos for ratings.

to add to that. Lord of the Flies, but gender neutral with all of the horror that entails. The existence of the show and the acts depicted in it are only implied and it is used to highlight how crapsack the world had became or to help sell the idea that the setting is dystopic in nature

Good news, everyone! I finally found a good place to put that story idea I was pondering about a while ago. :)

Prince Demetrios and Princess Lily having a day of fun and romance in the Florida Keys will be the last chapter of my upcoming sixth short story. Saving the best for last, as they say. ;) So far for their fun activities, I thought of the two of them swimming with killer whales. And having a fantastically amazing surf & turf dinner by the beach during sunset.
