^That's pretty much what most trailers for new shows do. Arrow did the same thing iirc.
The CGI looks way better than I expected- I guess The Flash can work on TV after all, and on the CW of all networks.
The only thing I don't like is Arrow showing up in the pilot. I don't mind the two interacting every now and then but I'd rather The Flash's pilot be reasonably stand alone.

Weather Wizard is his first major villain? Cool, always liked him. and they're apparently using the Star Labs event to bring supers into the world Works for me. I hope they don't spend too much time on his childhood backstory because frankly I don't give a shit.
Trump delenda estI just saw the trailer and now I'm really excited for this show! I can't wait to see what kind of stories will unfold from this series! Like everyone else pointed out, I hope this series is lighter in tone than Arrow since it would go against Flash's character if he's too dark and gritty.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Plus if they keep things light, that means no Zoom trying to "make him betterrrrrrrrrrr" by killing off loved ones.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Acting seems kind of... stiff, but the effects looks good.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectStill don't like the costume. Not 100% sure I can nail down exactly what I don't like about it. Just seems... "unrealistic" somehow? Silly? Hm.
Watching it again, the performances still don't sound very natural. I know quick cuts aren't the best way to gauge anything, but every line sounds a little staged.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectHonestly I find the trailer to be impressively cinematic. The Freak Lab Accident in particular really evokes a "touched by god" vibe instead of a random accident. The way he moves also takes a page from Man of Steel in that it isn't trying to show off the special effects from overuse of slow motion but instead give a "muggles" view of how their power and speed would seem in real life.
I was also thinking that a good Flash origin story would have him start off slower and gradually push the limits of his powers, which seems to be the intent here. I'm not too enthralled with the "emerging Meta Human villains" angle as I think Smallville (and Birds of Prey) wore that plot out. The costume doesn't really work for me, the lightning bolt insignia is barely visible and overall the headgear doesn't look quite right, more restrictive than helpful.
One thing, tough. The villain can control the weather.. and he is robbing banks? This has better be a revenge kick due to his grandmother being evicted or something because if he is doing it for the money, the stupidity, it just burns.
That's the Rogues' entire deal.
He was a bank robber before he got the power.
I'm not sure if they will include Mark Mardon since their version of the Weather Wizard is Clyde Mardon the person that created the Weather control device in the comics pre-New 52. In the comics his brother killed him and stole the device.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm curious if the Trickster will be a character.
Or Captain Boomerang. With ARGUS and the Suicide Squad out in the universe I would say he has to at some point.
Trump delenda estThe CW originally wanted The Flash to be on Monday at 8 PM.
I'm okay with it being on Tuesdays at 8 pm.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm not. That's when Agents of SHIELD is on.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Good thing I dropped Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. then.

Agents of SHIELD is going to air at 9 PM on Tuesdays during season two.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureWHOOHOO!
I mean, I have a DVR, so there wasn't a problem, but still.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117If only there was a second Linda Carter, we'd have a perfect 3rd show.
"Show us the Galaxy Warp.",, I'm sorry, but I just cant let it go.
Getting control over the weather and using it to rob banks is like.. Discovering the philosophers stone and using it as a safe-cracking tool. It isn't that it wouldn't work - Gold is much easier to cut through than hardened steel alloys after all, it's just... There is a reason people call lawyers that score huge settlements rainmakers. If the weather obeys you, it doesn't bloody matter how much of a bankrobber you were, or if you are wanted for it in 19 nations. You go straight, cash in on farmers throwing money at you.
As Cut Lex Luthor a Check points out, a lot of the time, it's not about the money. It's about revenge, about kicking people, about making people afraid, about being top dog, sometimes about insanity.
(Plus, there would probably be some Very Angry People is he did that; messing up local weather patterns can have disastrous consequences, and if he's constantly pulling in rain from somewhere else... he's also causing a drought for farmers who aren't paying him, or people who depend on that water for public supply)
Even so, if he can control the weather he can hold entire countries hostage, which IIRC is something along the lines of what the comics Weather Wizard is into, why rob banks?
Trump delenda est
I'm not fond of this kind of trailer. It pretty much gives away the entire plot of the pilot.
