I kinda want Captain Atom. Black Lightning too. In fact basically every second-string hero should get some love.

Black Lightning, yes, but unless they're going with the animated version of Captain Atom... the comic version is the basis for Dr. Manhattan. That'd be a bit much.

Well in my opinion the DCAU version is basically the best for almost every character

Or he really could be the most powerful being in the show but is just used sparingly.

Who the hell is Harrison Wells?

The prevailing theory is Eobard Thawne, aka the Reverse-Flash.

I prefer to think he is Rip Hunter based on the hint of Crisis on Infinite Earths that was teased in the Pilot.

There's always the possibility that they're throwing us a Red Herring, and Harrison Wells is just an original character. That's less fun, though.

He could be Bart Allen/Impulse.

I wonder if we could ever get Jesse Quick.

OK, now I'm confused. If Eddie Thawne is not the Reverse-Flash, why even bother with throwing this sort of a Red Herring? It's a sure-fire way to have Fan Dumb flip their collective shit.

They did the same thing on Arrow with Laurel. Subverting fan expectations like that has worked out well for them before.

It didn't hurt that Sara is a much better character than Laurel.

Eddie is probably Eobard's ancestor. He acts as a Red Herring, and I'm pretty sure he's working with Wells/Eobard.

There's also the chance they could do something with Thawne later as a Legacy Character. IIRC, the second Reverse Flash in the comics was a cop and ally to the Flash as well.

If they kill off the real Reverse Flash they could develop Thawne as his successor in the subsequent seasons.

It takes six episodes to become the Flash? Does the season have enough episodes for that?

I'm think it will take that long to get the name.

Technically, he's already come up with the name by the end of the first episode, but I'm guessing episode 6 is where he becomes a public figure, and others start calling him Flash.
