Hell's Paradise: Where Angels Fear to Tread

Sounds great. And just so everyone knows, I haven't abandoned this entirely. This is still something I'd really like to do, and if I can get enough people, I'll do it. I just need to get enough people, is all.

I might try something if I can get the inspiration in enough time.

Well, if Sanojutso and Gladonost are still up for it, and with Sixth Saint and the three other guys, we should have enough to start. All that we need now is for everyone involved to get at least one Sign-up in, and we can begin.

Also, I'd appreciate it if not everyone played a dark&edgy a-hole or psycopath; I'm not saying you can't, but we already have a few characters somewhat along those lines, so again, I'd appreciate it if you varied things up a bit.

• Name: Cora Vusten
• Age: 17
• Gender: Female
• Human Appearance (Prior to Beginning of RP): It's a bit chilly out...
• Personality: Cora is a fairly ordinary in terms of personality. She tries to be nice to people, likes to solve puzzles, and enjoys taking care of animals.
• Background: Cora's life until the Fall was fairly ordinary - she was an intelligent high school student who lived with her (amicably divorced) mother (who taught at a nearby university.) She volunteered a lot, especially at a local wildlife rescue, and generally tried to be a helpful person.
• Normal Talents&Abilities: She's smart and has a fondness for puzzles, and her time at the wildlife rescue has taught her a lot about medicine insofar as it applies to animals and first-aid. She has a bit of a talent linguistically speaking, and is learning German through an online course.
• Supernatural Appearance: Over her face, it looks as though she's wearing a large crow's skull as a mask, but although her face looks intact underneath it can't be removed. Her hair seems to be made of very long, thin, feather-like strands, and are attached to her head much more firmly than hairs normally are. Small feathers now cover most of her back, shoulders, and arms, and her feet hands now look more like crow's feet, though they still work as easily as feet and hands normally do.
• Powers: When she so wishes, she can turn her arms into a pair of large, black wings. Her hands now emerge from the wing's 'wrist.' She can fly, and can move around and use things as easily as when she hasn't transformed her arms. Tailfeathers also sprout from the base of her spine. When she gets magic, she'll probably choose the Light school.
• Miscellaneous: N/A

Yes, I did make a character who now looks like a crow and has a name where the first three letters spell out 'Corvus'.

@Sixth Saint: Sorry, but as in the last HP, I'm going to need you to add more to your Sign-up. You personality&background are rather vauge, and your Powers might be a tad overpowered. Instead of '10-15 balls', how about 3? And as for the 'Lightning Reflexes', just having above-average reflexes is fine, but don't go into Superspeed territory, seeing as you're already pretty powerful as is.

• Name: Connor "Croco" Knaut
• Age: 27
• Gender: Male
• Human Appearance: Lightly tan skin, 5'10, flat nose, brown eyes with a perpetually tired gaze. Is kind of chubby but not overweight.
• Personality: Joly and lazy. An easygoing, weight lifting food lover who likes his job but might not be giving his 100% most of the time.
• Background: Raised by his adoptive father and lived a contently average life before the Fall. Is a working police officer, but hasn't seen that much action due to his laziness and overall position in the force.
• Normal Talents & Abilities:
  • Slightly above average strength and stamina despite his appearance
  • Decent proficiency with handguns, prefers revolvers
  • Big Eater
• Supernatural Appearance: Reptilian, will eventually grow a full foot taller and muscular while retaining his body type (chubby). Face and jaw will slowly elongate to resemble crocodilian features. He will also grow a thick tail.
• Powers:
  • Tough hide would shrug off most projectiles unless particularly piercing or at point blank, likewise with cutting.
  • Big Eater exaggerated to the point where he could eat nearly anything with little or no negative consequences.
  • Resistant to disease and toxins
  • Biting strength is extremely high, not diamond pressing, but can crush steel and other metals in optimal conditions.
  • School of Magic: Water
• Miscellaneous:
  • Knows just about any joint for any snack or meal you can imagine in Paradise
  • His nickname is due to him once chasing and arresting a crook while holding and eating a piece of steak he had been busy with before the incident interrupted him.

You don't have to choose between the two School's just yet, but since your character is already a strong melee-fighter, you might want to choose Water to balance things out.

Also, since your character is a Cop, you might start out the RP a bit differently compared to the other characters. At the start of the RP, the Government, National Guard, Swat, Police, etc., are going to try and keep order; the key word being 'try'. Depending on just where you are and what you're doing as the RP begins, you might be working with your fellow defenders of the law in trying to do the same.

Yeah, water seems to make more sense considering he would eats way more than life draining could give him. I honestly had not considered how to introduce him alongside the force that would be dispatched all over the place when the catastrophe hits.

Don't worry; I think I'll just have a group of police show up, and then you get separated from them due to... I'm not exactly sure just what yet, but it'd be due to something; maybe a monster, or some other sort of disaster. In any case, after that happens, you can just happen across the other players. Sound good? (Unless that doesn't sound good, of course...)

Not quite. I don't know why I didn't catch this the first time, but your character's transformed appearance needs to be more... 'involved.' Everyone else has anything ranging from a half-crow person, to a Gender Bender+skin-color-change+horns. Just having electric-eyes isn't going to cut it, sorry to say.

• Name: Harry Copper
• Age: 63
• Gender: Male
• Human Appearance (Prior to Beginning of RP): A tall (6'6"), thin old man, with receding gray hair and a short grey beard.
• Personality: Though he's never had any children or grandchildren of his own, he likes to consider himself 'everyone's grandfather'. He's a generally kindhearted soul who loves nothing more than a look of wonder on a child's face as he pulls off a trick. Just don't hurt any children in front of him.
• Background: A stage magician by trade, he eventually retired to run a magic shop. He still does birthday parties though. Well, he did until the rift opened. That poor six-year-old...
• Normal Talents & Abilities:
  • Knows a lot of magic tricks. Can do card tricks, the coin-behind-the-ear trick, and the like.
  • Is an accomplished escape artist, capable of getting out of handcuffs and rope bindings alike.
• Supernatural Appearance: A humanoid rabbit (ala Bugs Bunny) in a magician's tuxedo, complete with cape, wand, and top hat.
• Powers:
  • Out of My Hat: His top hat is Bigger on the Inside, about the size of a small garage, making it a good place to store things. He can always pull the object he's looking for from it.
  • Was That Your Card?: He can pull an unlimited number of playing cards from his sleeves, to use as surprisingly sharp projectiles.
  • ...And Now You Don't: With a swirl of his cape he can turn invisible for five seconds at a time (has a five-second recharge time).
  • With the Greatest of Ease: Harry can walk on water and air alike. Unlike flying, he only moves as fast as he can run, and he can't go up or down - once he's in the air, he's stuck at the same height until he finds a ledge or something similar to stand on.

Update: If this is fine with everyone else, I think I'll be starting up the RP this weekend. I've been waiting for a couple of other people to make their Sign-ups, but I can't just keep everyone else waiting. Sign-Ups will always be open though, so if anyone still hasn't gotten a Sign-up in after the RP starts up, there shouldn't be a problem.
