Friend of mine introduced me.
dead devotionChills introduced me to the site and I figured it would be handy for writing purposes.
The fora was a natural step from perusing the wiki as far as I see.
YUUGI WANTS YOU FOR DRINKING BUDDYI think it was Mass Effect that brought me here, though really I haven't a damn clue.
Along those lines, my first post was probably in the Mass Effect thread. It was probably stupid.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."A few years ago? Probably from a cracked.com link. Didn't discover the forums until...a few months back maybe.
Decided to (finally) join the forums just because, read up on the rules and my first post was in the introduction thread.
Still can't remember but if I had to guess I think it might have been from an anime blog on Code Geass. From there on I was addicted.
Boxen kept beckoning me to make an account for the forums here.
Best thing I've ever done.
Justin Pierce (author of The Non-Adventures of Wonderella) posted something to the effect of "This website is a cool way to waste an afternoon," on a forum. I followed the link and started browsing.
When I got to the Mystery Science Theater 3000 article, and saw that it had a flow chart listing the season-by-season changes in lyrics to the theme song, I knew I had found a place where I belonged.

I was linked to the Zombie Panic In Wonderland page from Game FA Qs. Then I started exploring the site, looking up other media's pages and the tropes. Then I joined and made a few Troper Tales. Didn't really do much on the forum until December of the year I joined though.
I started reading TV Tropes thanks to my first trope: Psychopathic Manchild. The reason? I was (and still) a Kefka fan, so I suddenly got the link to the page. After watching TV Tropes for a while, I stayed because I love to learn about my favorite fictional works.
But Thou Must! and Sugar Wiki.

What happened? Why am I not allowed to post anymore!?"THIS WEBSITE IS AWESOME"
"waitwaitwait, I can JOIN IT? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP"
I think my first post was in the Kingdom Hearts thread...sometime later.

please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?I came here with the hopes of finding like-minded people, I'm still in the process of doing that.
Ya, I'm weird like that...Many years ago, I was researching Mythbusters on the internet, when I found the tvtropes article on it. Sometime between then and now, I began reading all the trope pages. But my first post, of december last year, I cannot show you. Doing so would be against site rules. I mainly joined because I found it annoying how I could not correct random grammar errors I ran across on the main site.

Hahahaha, sorry, no offense, really, It's just, well, I wonder at times how can you survive inside of some of the average social networks when the grammar rules are just as respected as Kim-Jeong-Un by the international community and random internet personalities.

Are you doubing I'm a hero? I killed an evil dragon!!
This site is a "anybody can edit and improve" kind. It's not weird to see a lot of errors and prefer to fix them.
That's actually pretty normal and good to see. There's a lot of bad edits.
Ahh well, whatever, continuing with this conversation would make us not talk about the actual topic (Why are you here?), soooooo, I'm going to continue in the Trash heap.
I was looking up stuff related to Slender Man, such as what his origins were. I was only 13, so I was scared crapless.
From there I went on a Wiki Walk and then started looking up stuff related to shows and games I liked.
I actually didn't know there was a forum until two years later, and a bit after that is when I got known.
