Barring options from an actual work, here's some possibilities: 1◊, 2◊, 3◊, 4, 5◊

The first, third, and fourth of those must be an illustration in something; only the second looks like a photo.

This usually takes the form of a man spending the day doing his wife's housework, though.

Good point. In that case, here's some options:

• Nightcrawler and kids
• House Husband◊ from Rubber Penguin
• House Husband◊ from Nathan Lueth
• The House Husband◊ from here

The third pic will definitely need permission, the second and fourth most likely will as well. We can probably get away with just linking to the first but asking permission wouldn't be a bad idea.

It doesn't have to be the husband though, can be the kids trying to run the home instead.

I agree. If I weren't on my phone, I'd make one.

Even though have duplicate images is less than ideal, the image for Mr. Mom is perfect to me. There are three different versions of that image though, with different things going on but the same premise.

I've hooked a crowner and re-clocked the thread.

I've e-mailed the three sites that probably/definitely need permission before we can use the pics; hopefully I'll hear something soon.

Okay, we've got permission for the Nathan Lueth and Rubber Penguin pics; the RP guy even said he really likes the wiki. My e-mail to the other pic's homepage crashed...not sure if resending it will get the same result.

Nightcrawler sells the trope better for me. The House Husbands are too competent.

The Nightcrawler art looks amateurish to me, I like the Rubber Penguin one.

This one ended in a dead heat between the Nightcrawler and Rubber Penguin pics, so I've hooked a runoff crowner and will put the rest on an Image Links page shortly.

Nightcrawler might not look as sleek but it has a lot more feeling and conveys the idea better.
