SNL: Dave Chapelle - The Walking Dead skit
lol That was hilarious. It was great to see all of Chapelle's characters from his old show!
Hey, does anyone else wonder what's up with SNL!Hillary Clinton and that hand gesture people use to indicate when someone's talking too much?
She almost always uses that particular hand gesture whenever she shows up. What's up with that?
Boy, this show hasn't gotten any of attention in over a month.
Well, they've had a few new episodes since then, with the most recent being the one where Scarlett Johansson hosted for the fifth time. I saw a few clips, and they were good sketches, with my favorite of the ones I watched being their latest Donald Trump clip, and one involving a dog whose thoughts are translated. I really liked this one, too.

Hey.I've been getting back into the show in the last couple seasons. Trump's campaign and getting elected was the best thing to happen to the show in a long time: It's given them a wealth of comedic targets and laser-focused their satire.
Yeah, that's what got me interested (well, I've just watched a lot of clips on You Tube, but it counts, I guess).
The show will air live from coast to coast.
Also, "Weekend Update" will air on primetime starting August 10.
Hey.We're watching one of a former SNL alum's first feature-length efforts, See This Movie, tonight on a riffing Troper Coven. Come and join us: https://cytu.be/r/TroperCoven
Love tearing bad movies to shreds? Join us every night at 8 PMInterestingly, the skit that made me laugh the hardest on the latest episode (5/13) wasn't any of the political jabs, but "Just Desserts!", which was basically one joke over and over (Pie in the Face), but what can I say? It tickled my funny bone. Part of it was the silly voice every time it happened: "PIE!"
LOL @ Bill Murray as Steve Bannon.
Watching newest episode featuring Jessica Chastain.
Oof, that take on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's theme was...unsettling.
You can call me the judge
Place your past in a book burn the pages let them cook. The Ned's Roach Away sketch made me think of an OVA I saw many years ago: Ichigeki Sacchu!! Hoihoi-san, which is about a world where insects have developed an immunity to pesticides so people use dolls with miniature guns. And the trouble that happens with third-party beam cannons and owning dolls from different brands.
I noticed recently that someone has been deleting almost all the references attacking Trump in the SNL Awesome, Heartwarming & Season 42 Funny subpages.

Season 44 premiered almost a month ago.
Hey.Putting some life back into this thread. Eddie Murphy returns to SNL.
These were the best two sketches, just for the pure, uncut Eddie Murphy of them:
Yeah. Unfortunately I missed most of it due to watching The Witcher on Netflix.
But man, Eddie's been out of the public eye for a long time, so hearing he was there (and seeing a bit of his old Velvet Jones character on Black Jeopardy) was treat.
Do we know what he's been since his last appearance?
One Strip! One Strip! He has a movie out on Netflix now, Dolemite Is My Name, and a sequel to Coming to America that just finished filming.
Yeah. I looked both up not long after writing that.
Making a sequel to movie 30 years late is something I give question to be honest.
One Strip! One Strip!Dolemite Is My Name got some rave reviews and Coming 2 America is done by the same director, so I think it might turn out pretty good. (Also, one of the writers is the original writer of Coming to America and another writer is Kenya Barris, the creator of Blackish.)

Maybe can do a reboot of PJ's. But then again, that show would probably be about now how the projects are now gentrificated.

It is funny just to see Eddie Murphy's evolution as a performer and public figure. He basically codified the "hyper, hip, fast talking black guy" that was followed by the likes of Chris Rock, Chris Tucker and Dave Chapelle. Seeing Murphy recently he seems so calm and relaxed, solidifying him going from the outlandish, edgy comic in the 80's to the family comedy guy in the 90's to the kids movie voice actor in the 00's and now basically the Godfather of (especially black) comedians.
The opening monologue was the absolute highlight. "If you would have told me thirty years ago I would be the house dad and Bill Cosby would be in jail, even I would have taken that bet. (Cosby voice) Who is America's Dad now?" You got all the cameos from Morgan, Chapelle and Rock, and the white cast member stepping in for one line only to be shoved off stage by Kenan was also great.
Is anyone watching tonight's episode?
Lin-Manuel Miranda's hosting and he just did an awesome rendition of "My Shot".
