I watched what might be considered an honest trailer for Pearl Harbor years ago. It was this trailer recut and dubbed over with this music.
Ceterum censeo Morbillivirum esse eradicandum. That Sound Editing gag was so perfectly cut.
at the comparisons to Captain America: The Winter Soldier and pointing out that the opening credits is basically tentacle porn.
When the expy (HYDRA) proves to be a much sinister evil organization than the original (the titular SPECTRE), then something is really, really off about your Bond film.
Though I'm honestly surprised they didn't work in a comparison to the "twist" from the third Austin Powers movie.

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow.""Manic Pixel Dream Girl." (Ramona)
EDIT: Either there's still some bugs in formatting YouTube videos in a post post-TVT1.3, or there's a different way to do that now... I dunno why the video is over there to the right-hand side when I put that first in the post.

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Scott Pilgrim was like a Quentin Tarantino movie, if he was a video game lover and sucked.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I actually agree that the way the movie was filmed, Scott should have gotten back together with Knives rather than Ramona.
Should be noted that the movie was being filmed at a time before the final volume of the comic came out. There actually is an alternate ending where he gets back with Knives, and I think a third one where he gets with neither one. The Knives ending was actually what they initially were gonna use, before the last volume came out.
the Ramona ending makes more sense in the comic, but I can't fault the movie for that, for the aforementioned reason, and because of time constraints. I rather feel like the movie could've done better as two movies, with 3 Ex battles each. First movie could end on the ominous bit with Ramona's head glowing, and the second could deal with the breakup, realization, Nega Scott, and all that jazz. Not sure if the second one should be "Gets it Together" or "'s Finest Hour".

I have a message from another time...Though considering how crap it did at the boxoffice, there probably wouldn't have been a second movie.
Well yeah. I'm shocked it got made at all, having a rather narrow and tricky target audience.
Well, I can enjoy what we got, and it got me interested in the comic, which I think is quite good as well (though some movie scenes were better than the comic versions).
I have a message from another time...I can't wait for the next Frozen trailer!
Well, I'll admit I haven't seen The Revenant yet, but I do hope the Honest Trailer will convince me to see it anyway.
And on to the new Honest Trailer:
You've seen the Honest Trailer for Divergent, which pointed out how similar it is to The Hunger Games. Now, here's the Honest Trailer for Insurgent, which points out how similar it is to another YA series...

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Those YA movies really do blend in together.
I hate when Follow the Leader results in same-y franchises instead of fresher ideas being used in the same genre..
I... Kinda sorta maybe like the Divergent movies a little
Cut off one head 2 more shall take it's place! Hail HydraNo shame in it. I don't feel strongly about them, but I don't hate them either.
I may be a bit "meh" about the Divergent series, but I'm not gonna bash you for it.
[Gush mode on]
What I love most about Honest Trailers is that they always have something funny to point out in the movies they make fun of. And I doubt they do it in a mean-spirited manner...unless the movie in question really is that bad.
So whether you love, hate, are are just plain "meh" about a movie, but walk away from each Honest Trailer with a smile on your face or a new perspective on a film they made fun of, I'd say that's a good job for the folks at Screen Junkies.

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."From one YA franchise to another. (Man, the YA train's got no brakes!)
...Wow, Mocking Jay dropped the ball after the first 2 movies.
Were there albino Xenomorphs in the book? I honestly cannot remember, and that seems like the kind of thing I would remember.
I'm also not sure if the Hunger Games was huge but then became Deader Than Disco in record time, or if it never really caught on as big as the film studio and book publisher thought it would and people are generally apathetic towards it.
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierFrom personal experience, I'd say the former.
And "albino Xenomorphs"? I haven't watched the Mockingjay movies, but did they actually add in the freaky werewolf nonsense that got pulled out of the first movie?
The Albino Xenomorphs was a reference to the 3D Printing Killer Powders in the video, just in case that wasn't clear. I haven't seen the film either, so I'm afraid I can't offer any context as to when they appear. Although, it has just given me the idea for a crossover where Weyland-Yutani fund one of the Hunger Games and provide Facehuggers and Xenomorphs for the tributes to survive against until one is left.
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierOK, enough movie adaptations of YA literature. Time to get back to superhero movies.
Also, holy s**t, TWO Honest Trailers? Though I think I know why...

"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Both of those were so good. Especially when they started pointing out the comicbook movies trends they started.
