Yeah, I know its not the best one. In fact, I saw better ones anyway.

Nevermind I said anything.

It's okay, pending something better. Doesn't really seem like a game, but the setup's fairly similar.

Well, like I said... There were some better pics. Idk why I chose this one.

OK pending something better.

It's basically a real image of what the games look like, but without anything suggesting it's about games. It kind of works just as well as no image, I think.

This?

Well I feel that I am just searching for an image that displays the concept of the Room Escape game, but without endorsing any particular game.

"...without endorsing any particular game."

You mean like how pretty much all pages with images have them from various games or other works?

[up]Yes, that's just what I meant, I think. (Facepalms...)

But no, I mean that I was trying to find a general example image, not one that was context dependent on the readers' assumed familiarity with one particular game.

[up]What about the other door?

EDIT: Nevermind. Didn't see the card reader.

Perhaps im grasping for straws here but, in an effort to avoid just showing a plain screenshot of a random Room Escape Game, how bout this?

[up] As beautiful as that is, there's nothing wrong with using a screenshot from a work. We do it all the time. 12 is more illustrative of the genre.

[up] Yes, 12 is very good.

If thats the case, okay then. I was just referring to all the poor screenshots im coming across, that just show the room, not the escaping part.

12 seems like an acceptable pic for me as well.

It's not bad. Most of the games I've played don't have an avatar that walks around, though. Just more Shadowgate style.

The clock is up and 12 has enough votes, so it's up and tagged and the link is added to the VG examples list. Locking up.
