... eh. I don't really like it. It's a lot of set up for... not much payoff.
Honestly, I'd rather just get a pic of a Sniper Team. Google has plenty of images:
1◊
2◊
3◊
4◊

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I like either 2 or 4 for a straight example...lean toward 2 because it shows a more realistic scenario. 3, paired with a good Lassie-type parody caption, would be hilarious.

I understand the comic, but only because I play Warhammer 40 K. Anyone who doesn't wouldn't get the joke.
I like the dog because it's funny.
Check out my fanfiction! The dog, for sure.

Looks good.
Personally, I'd put the translation in a hotti- er... note. Also, I'd make it so the dog is talking about a squirrel... but that might just be me.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I was riffing on the old gag of people interpreting Lassie's barking as entire blocks of exposition...not sure if combining those two things would work right.
EDIT: Maaaaaybe...yeah, this is better.

Dog's good, but the image is a bit washed out.
Moon◊So let's up the color saturation a little:

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up."What's that Lassie? Timmy's pinned down? Good boy!"
Did a take on it.
Edit: Ninjad, but I think mine's better.

Check out my fanfiction! We should crowner this for best application of saturation, which shall win?
I can't tell a difference between the last two versions.
I tried my hand at it earlier today, but the end result was ass.
I dunno, I think some colors got crushed somehow. That's pretty much as good as it's gonna get, unfortunately.
Moon◊Unless someone can take the original pic and GIS it to see if there's a different version out there.
Reverse GIS isn't turning anything up.
Moon◊The pic was overexposed to begin with, not much fixing that. (I tried doing a typical gamma/levels adjustment first but it didn't come out looking right, so I used a huesat adjust and it came out better.)
On mine, the grass is a tint greener and the guy's forehead doesn't look so washed out.

An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.We've never really decided on a pic...should we crowner this or just go with the dog for wit's sake, regardless of caption?
Hmm.. I was going make a suggestion from Highschool Of The Dead of a spotter and his sniper clearing out zombies from an airport runway, but this wouldn't work out too well with the horizontal limitations of pictures on this site.
That said, I like Stratadrake's picture in post #13

Agreed; that wouldn't work at wiki size.
This is gathering dust again, so I think I'm just gonna call it for the dog for Rule of Funny. How's this for a shorter take on the caption?

That's good.
Check out my fanfiction!
EDIT: Caption idea: Something along the lines of, "Protip: Be sure of target's identity before firing."
