All right, grabbed Miasmata, Spelunky, Joe Danger bundle, and Sang Froid!
Give me cute or give me...something?@Karkadinn: its pimped largely by its cult fanbase. It sold horrifically badly at its release and led to the death of Troika games because their release was rushed and was horribly buggy at release thanks to Executive Meddling.
It gets pimped so often because despite that, its one of the better classic pc action-rpgs once you get the unofficial patches, and frankly, its probably the Wo D game that best captures the lore and worldbuilding of its setting. Right down to portraying the effects of being connected to the Malkavian Madness Network pretty well.

its just a shame about some of the final levels, which make it truly painful to play with a non-combat focused character, in addition to a particular level with just flat out terrible level design that has you lost and frequently stuck on geometry while you're in the middle of running up to a sniper who you cannot sneak past, the type that inhabits every corner of the level...
ahh....
good times...
miserable times, but good nonetheless.
Isn't it a shame, how many perfectly good games and game companies get screwed over by premature releases? You'd think the publishers would learn that no one likes a buggy game, and yet, they keep forcing devs to release half-baked pies....
Magicka and Torchlight 2 on sale today. Both totally worth it, although I'd skip the vast majority of the Magicka DLC.
Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.
I think the execs generally are hoping either to steal the thunder of some other release or hope the license alone will sell a shit sandwich.
which is tragic given Bloodlines was not only a well written look at vampire politics and backstabbing, but managed to throw in so many nods to the greater wod canon (and the then upcoming Time of Judgement metaplot event) without being hammy about it.
Magicka DLC is cool. The campaigns anyway. God, but The Other Side of the Coin is a pain in the ass.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I'd like to get Penumbra, but I only have my substandard not at all optimized for gaming laptop. Do you think I could actually play it if I bought it? Said laptop CAN run simpler games like Binding of Isaac, Costume Quest and System Shock 2 pretty well, for reference.
But that's a story for another time....maybe? It's on the older side.
Not Three Laws compliant. So as it turns out Dm C Devil May Cry is actually quite cool.
The troper formerly known as Eriksson.Just wound up getting Alice: Madness Returns and Sid Meier's Pirates! (particularly because I loved the game and I'd like my own copy)
I now go by Graf von Tirol.I want Pirates!...but for some fuckin' idiotic reason it's not available in MANY territories...
Give me cute or give me...something?How were half of those games Halloween themed?
My biggest complaint with the game is that half the time you're fighting the camera angles and controls as much as you are the enemies. It's very much a console port, unfortunately.
But the environments are great. If you enjoyed the original, you'd like the sequel, but you'd have to keep your hopes down - it doesn't really do anything mechanically noteworthy from its ancestor, which was already a very pretty but shallow platformer.
Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.
