I wasn't saying that you had to read them to participate (you don't). I meant that I'd be interested in your reaction to them.
Like when I didn't realize that Baron Zeppeli was a reference to Jo Jos Bizarre Adventure and thought he was some random zebra OC who I then turned into an evil mad scientist in my chapter? (in the Tealove story)

Pretty sure there's a bunch of us who didn't get the Jojo reference with Baron Zeppeli (myself included).
That, and we can't seem to keep track of whether he's a zebra or a pony.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...In the second story I had no idea what to write for my chapter, so I just spun the storyline's wheels by seeing how much Innocent Innuendo I could pack into a few paragraphs of basically nothing happening and passed it along.
My chapter in the last fic was 95% a prolonged reference to the previous fic, with only the first sentence and last paragraph having literally anything whatsoever to do with the present story.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.Post of the Day #1940
That's dumb. One of the reasons people were willing to give Fi M a shot in the first place is because she was behind it, that wouldn't be the case if she'd never done anything worthwhile before.
post of the day is interesting. the first sentence because they actually had planned on giving the mane 6 different body types but couldn't due to budget constraints, the second because i do remember Lauren Faust's involvement being a pretty big motivator for people at the time.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI once saw a fic about human alternate dimension counterparts of the Mane 6 describing human AJ as very muscular and about 6 feet tall, and now, that's how I imagine a human Applejack would look like. (I mean, I always imagined she'd be buff, but I didn't think about her height, but her being really tall also makes a lot of sense.)
I remember seeing something like that, too. Didn't the concept art have them with fairly different body types? Though, now that there seem to be more varied body types of ponies in the show, I kinda wonder how they'd redesign the Mane 6 if they were allowed to now.

Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.AJ should reasonably be pretty fit, but not, like, bodybuilder buff. Strong, clear musculature, but not Bulk Biceps proportions.
I'd expect Rainbow Dash to be bigger than AJ in terms of musculature, on account of being a military woman. Formerly aspiring to be a military woman. AJ gets exercise as a result of the manual labor she performs, while Rainbow does it specifically to build muscle.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. When does Rarity seem strong? Physically, I mean. She's a strong character but I don't recall her ever demonstrating any great feat of physical fortitude.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Rarity's demonstrated martial arts skill a couple of times, and she did lug a giant boulder on her back, once.
I'd say Rarity is probably the sort who does self-defense classes partially to keep in shape, so I imagine she'd have a solid build, but not be overtly buff.
In regards to Dash, I tend to imagine her being less ripped, and more wiry—very streamlined and toned muscle, much better for the speed she's looking for rather than raw muscle. The difference between sprinter◊ and weightlifter◊
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.@Tobias: Rarity's strong enough to carry Tom on her back. Also, any time there's an action scene, Rarity pretty consistently fights with her hooves rather than using magic.

I didn't write any of that.Rainbow's not military, she's an athlete, and a speed and agility-based athlete, at that. She would definitely be fit, and probably the leanest of the girls, but she'd be toned, not buff.
AJ would be buff, but she's also a big eater with a family that goes for hearty downhome cookin', so she's got a layer of plush over that iron.
Fluttershy is deceptively fit, being a light eater whose occupation keeps her active caring for all those critters, but doesn't dress or behave in any way that shows it off.
Rarity easily pays the most attention to her weight in and of itself, and diets and exercises routinely to keep herself at a slim target weight.
Twilight tries to eat healthy, but there's always a junkfood binge lurking around the corner after a study binge, which combined with her inactive lifestyle around the library keeps her in sort of a perpetual "freshman 15" mode.
Pinkie's tricky. She eats more than anyone else, but is also one of the most active. She's probably a bit pudgey now, but will be in for a rude surprise when her metabolism slows down in a few years.
What matters in this life is much more than winning for ourselves. What really matters is helping others win, too. - F. Rogers.I can easily imagine Twilight falling into the same trap I do while I'm working on a project of, "Cooking and doing dishes takes time, I can keep working while pizza is delivered".
Mind, she also has Spike to help her out. Though while he's demonstrated baking skill, less so in other culinary fields, so maybe not so much.

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I'm reasonably sure Twilight has never prepared food for herself in her life. She went from living with her mom as a child to living in the royal castle as a child to having Spike to cook for her. Spike is her pizza delivery service that she uses for that exact purpose: so she can keep working and not have to worry about cleaning or dusting or preparing food.
That's literally Spike's job: he's Twilight's butler, chef, and gofer all in one.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Because even though they're still a Diarchy, 'personal assistant' sounds better than 'Page'.
Though to be fair, he'd be a Factotum if Twilight didn't find setting up appointments so thrilling.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Okay, my headcanon regarding fitness whatever:
Twilight: Exercises solely for the health benefits, probably tries to do stuff like stretching and jogging, though she also probably forgets a lot because she's preoccupied with books.
Fluttershy: Stays in shape mostly of a byproduct of having to do stuff like take care of bears and stuff.
Pinkie: Probably the chunkiest of the bunch due to eating an insane amount of sweets. Burns many calories via hyperactivity but not all of them.
Rarity: Probably focuses a bit more than diet than exercise, but has done enough kung-fu stuff in the show that it's a safe assumption that she's probably taken some sort of martial arts class at some point, either for self-defense or just to help keep her figure.
AJ: Probably the most muscular and "built" of the bunch, but honestly probably doesn't really look like a bodybuilder either, since all of her muscle-building is practical rather than to look super ripped.
RD: Like others have noted, probably very toned as opposed to being straight up muscular. Still probably the most likely of the group to have a visible six-pack though.
,This makes me want to write a story where Spike is out of town or something and Twilight has to cook for herself... and discovers that she really enjoys cooking because something like following a recipe is right up her alley.

Reaction Image RepositoryThat actually sounds like a very promising story idea.
Fanfiction I hate. How tall do you all think the Mane 6 would be as humans? I really like the idea of Rainbow Dash being the shortest of everyone. Mostly because it's funny.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. Why I am imagining Pinkamena doing a series of flips until Rainbow Dash grabs her while she's still in the air and throws her like she's chucking a bowling ball, making it look like a pink Sonic the Hedgehog is doing a Spin Dash?

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. While we are still making sure if anyone on the Character Discussions page has any objections about moving Starlight to the Mane Cast page because she has Main Character level focus and having a section with only one character in it would look odd, we did have a small discussion if a change like this also affects Sunset Shimmer's page.
I asked this because Sunset's situation is similar in that it can be said that she most definitely is a main character in her own story, without being part of the 'Mane Six' and that the only other Main Characters she interacts with are Twilight and Spike (and also Starlight) and it's actually more accentuated than Starlight's situation. For now, her link to the main show is that a few important main characters like Twilight and Starlight (and Spike to some extent) have had a central role in that series too. But the biggest "but" that came up is that she's a spin-off exclusive and even though characters from the show have gotten central roles in the EqG series, the biggest strike against her is that the show hasn't yet directly acknowledged Sunset's existence in turn, and that it would be odd to have her as a main character on FiM if she doesn't exist in the show universe.
Back in the day Meghan McCarthy did explain Equestria Girls movies as canon to the show continuity in the sense that while EqG events may not directly affect the show, she made it a point to mention that Twilight did have an experience that she learned from, and that Sunset exists within the FiM continuity/universe, but I have no idea if the current directors have recently retconed that bit as a different continuity or not (non-plot relevant Flash Sentry cameos notwithstanding).
So this is the part where it more or less becomes a matter of personal opinion whether one considers Sunset and the Equestria Girls as part of the show or not.
Using the options that were suggestested for Starlight as a basis (excluding option #2), there's atleast three ways to go about this.
1) Leave everything as is and only move Starlight.
2) Put Sunset in the "Others" section with Spike and Starlight as "Main Characters that are not Mane Six", but otherwise leave the Mane Cast pages the way it is now and not include Equestria Girls specific tropes, or...
3) Put Sunset in the "Others" section and include tropes from Equestria Girls events on the Mane Cast page only if they have any kind of two/three way relation between Sunset, Twilight, Starlight or Spike.
I was about to say, it can't possibly be any worse than that chapter. But seriously, having new people jump in who have no idea what's being referenced tends to be what leads to the most memorable moments.
Now that we've finally settled on a prompt, who wants to manage the list of participants? Do we want to just foist it on Meta, since he always ends up doing it anyway (and also he's the only person who can remember the password for the fimfic account)?
As for being drunk, I don't really like alcohol, so it's mostly a non-issue for me. I am very familiar with sleep deprivation though.
