I agree that it badly needs improvement in quality.
Perhaps we could even find a replacement. The character and the image fits perfectly, but if we found something good from some live action work, I would like that.
This is a trope that is very easily visualized, just show a weird looking old lady surrounded by cats. I think we can find one.
That goes for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanLooks JPEG-artifacted to me, but if the general consensus is to go for it...
I'll clean up 4 when I get home.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.4 looks much better. I wouldn't mind that one.
I looked around and find this one◊, one from Kids Next Door. How does this one look?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Not crazy enough, in my opinion
I much prefer a Simpsons image, especially since it already has a great caption. I particularly like this one, because of her eyes:

The site I linked to has high-quality screencaps from nearly every episode. When I have more time, I'll go through the episodes that feature the cat lady and post more if this one isn't good enough.

@9 is a very good image of the Simpsons' Crazy Cat Lady. It has my for now.
I'm looking for some live action images, but so far nothing truly good has popped up. I've Googled two decent pictures, but it's not from any work of fiction and the ladies don't have the crazy look (perhaps just yet ).
EDIT: I agree completely that the currect caption is great. Only I'd change the pothole in M.D. from The Medic to Hospital Hottie, because she was quite a looker and it better corresponds to Hello, Attorney!.

Yeah, it's hard to top Simpson's crazy look.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.9 is the best so far.
Check out my fanfiction!9 is better than 4, but one thing bothers me. What is that faded rectangle in the background? There's also this version, but it has those damn vertical lines. [1]◊ Perhaps with a little Photoshop magic, we could combine the two (or not, since they are different frames). Would anyone happen to know what episode this screenshot is from?
Actually, it's from this video. I think that episode was "Girly Edition." I'll see if I can make a better quality screenshot.

Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.9 is the best overall, I just wish the cats weren't cropped so hard.
This is from a DVD, so it's not going to get much better than this. There was some artifacting, but that was from the source. Even so, I removed some of it, anyway. That rectangle was just an animation error.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Very nice.
Either 9 or 15 work for me.
15 is ok, but I slightly prefer 9 as the image is sharper.
9 for me.
9 has better quality.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMy issue with 9 is that rectangle.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.Hmm, I didn't notice the rectangle at first, but now when you pointed it out, it's hard to un-notice it. However, I love how bright that picture is compared to the one @15.
I also didn't notice it.
15 with auto brightness/contrast. Contrast is much higher. Brightness is a little higher.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.I don't quite like the contrast on 15... colors seemed a bit drab, things didn't contrast quite as well, etc. So, a quick bit of auto-levelling later...
Did we seriously just do this at the same time? Ha. (My filesize's smaller :V)

Moon◊
Yet another blurry Simpsons image.
Does anyone have access to the DVD or Blueray showing this scene?
