Nah, I'm pretty sure anything is objectively better than pocky.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Well, up to that point I'd always had chocolate, and she bought strawberry. I think she just kept doing it because the first day back at school she said she'd buy me some because I didn't eat breakfast. I guess it was more of a sentimental thing, at that point. Like "whoa, someone's buying something for me!"
I agree that Pocky isn't really anything special, it's more of a food you eat so that people can see that you're eating it. I mean, it tastes good enough, and it's a nice snack, but yeah, those other chocolate stick things are definitely pretty great too.

In the backyard, buried deep underneath the tree There's a monster, takin' root in the property...It's a novelty.
And novelty tastes delicious, in my opinion.
But that was sweet of her - even if ultimately she was using you that's... oddly thoughtful.
...pocky?
noisivelet naht nuf erom era srorrimIt is an edible object
I think...
Tis also my old nickname
ಠ_ಠFirst time I've seen direct confirmation of that, not that you seemed to be hiding it.
Fresh-eyed movie blogIt's this really bland stick of bread with icing over it that Japanophiles get really obsessed over for some reason.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I wouldn't say the stick is particularly bland, but it's not awesometastic.
Fresh-eyed movie blogHey, we non-weeaboos like it too.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. But whyyyyyyyy?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Because of the taaaaaaaste
(I should note, my mom and sister like it too, and they don't even know what an internet is.)
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I think the stick is actually pretty good. Especially the ones that come in a black and gold box.
I wonder if we have it.
I will check the Oriental section of Tesco the next time we visit.
I’m so alone without you. To call up on the weekends with my cellular phone.Whoa, Pocky's back?
...I had a vague suspicion you might be Pocky. In any case, heya!
...Also, yeah. It was pretty sweet of her. I was conflicted about how to feel about it at first, but in the end the verdict was pretty much "I got manipulated and whatnot, but hey, free Pocky." It balances out.
In the backyard, buried deep underneath the tree There's a monster, takin' root in the property...Vague suspicion? The fact that she's been using the same avatar as that account wasn't enough for you to know?
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I'm not on very often, man, cut me a break. ; v ;
Pho used the same avatar, too!
...On the note of my ex-girlfriend(?), I guess it's because of her (thing for maid outfits) that I got into Touhou through imageboards. So there's that. Not that she was into Touhou.

In the backyard, buried deep underneath the tree There's a monster, takin' root in the property...Blarg. Now I'm second-guessing myself every time I want to send a text to my friend because I'm worried it might be a bad time or I might be talking too often or whatever. I also get the feeling that I should be second-guessing myself like that, but I still don't like it. :/
(Yes, this is the same friend I was talking about earlier.)
but HOW?I have to wonder if I'm the kind of person who is doomed to never identify affection due to denial. Specifically I don't know if I'd ever notice if someone liked me...because I'd be so damn self-deprecatory I'd think said person would be lying to my face.
Living The Fever DreamI'd pity the foo' who crushed on me!

I share your pain. T_T
but HOW?
It's a matter of taste. And I'm pretty sure cost.
Mostly taste. Very few things are objectively better than something of comparability.
