I hope I'm not the only one to mention Blazblue's hilariously bad announcer voices. CARURU CROWBAR versus labder eleben. Reebel one, Action!
Flyer than an ostrich, moshin' in a tar pit...When I was a kid playing Streets of Rage 2, I always heard Skate's "Corkscrew kick!" as "HO-HEE-HEE!" Blaze's "Kikosho!" sounded like "Skoto!"
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."I heard "Live and Learn" as "Livin' Large", actually.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I owned Street Fighter 2 as a kid and always heard "Hadouken" as "Illume-tit". It doesn't sound that different even now.
Half the crap Orginzation XIII says in battle.
Is Xaldin saying "Wind in the Darkness?" or something else altogether?
Testament's master of puppets overdrive in Guilty gear #Reload. It always sounded like he was saying, "I'VE FOUND THE BURRITO!!!"
In BB I use to think tao was saying YOU SMELL LIKE TUNA! during her distortion.
Axel's grand upper in Streets of Rage 2 is a well known one.
He's saying "Face the winds of despair!"
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. To this day, Shadow's "Chaos Spear" in SA 2 can't not sound like anything but "Disappear".
Also, Hudson's BAI HADUSAN logo shout never made sense to me until recently.
And does anyone know what WORK THAT BUTT TO DEATH is actually saying?

"Work that sucker to death."
The Prince of Persia PS 3 trilogy release. I don't know what was wrong with the audio but I have no frigging idea what was going on most of the time because I couldn't make out a word of the dialogue. The only exception was Warrior Within, the one with the least important story, because it had subtitles and none of the others did.
Not Three Laws compliant.& I just got the new port this summer (first time using JP soundtrack), and I'm dead serious - it always sounded like "WORK THAT DOCTOR EGGMAN" . Couldn't understand any of the other lyrics in that song, though, since the vocal track was kinda quiet.
Oh, and I should add to my list pretty much any song that was in Persona 4 (haven't played it myself, but I've heard some songs from the anime adaption).
Graffiti. My. Page. due eet naoThat weird voice clip that plays when you pick a level in Mario 64. I've heard it as many things, but not once "Let's-a go!" Is that actually what it's supposed to be?
yoshi did nothing wrongIn Wolfenstein, one of the lines the Nazis have for when they know you're there is "Frightened, American?" I originally heard it as "I smell an American!"
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelYeah, I can't really see them intending anything else. Though since I think it was my very first Mario game, I probably didn't know that convention yet. So I think it was gibberish to me back then as well.
"Mexico?"

Graffiti. My. Page. due eet naoI hear it as "Let's pickle!"
And from the same game, of course, "So long, gay Bowser!"
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!@Tagg
Nah, before that. When he does his wind sphere shield move.
Edit: Just found a video with the quotes and no other audio - it's apparently "Winds, guard me."

The line when you try again in Persona 4 Arena's arcade mode while playing as Elizabeth perplexes me.
"I'll bread-and-beef my way to victory!" ... W-what?
Flyer than an ostrich, moshin' in a tar pit...
Whether it was because the audio quality was primitive at the time, or because the speaker wasn't a native English one, there have been lines of spoken word in video games that, if we ever tried to repeat it, it wasn't what they were saying. List'em here!
For me, there are a couple. In Mario Party 2, when you'd achieve a "New Record" in a minigame, I always heard and repeated the female(?) announcer's quip as "Here Regard!"
When I first heard the song "Live and Learn" from Sonic Adventure 2, I honestly thought the titular chorus went something along the lines of "Live and Lard" or "Reblemb ARE."
