The Numbers War (Yu-Gi-Oh ZeXaL RP)

"Ah, is good day to be me," Vlad said. "Now General, bring out the NKVD and finish this turn!"

The General activated his ability to bring out Secret Guards of the Ice Barrier in defense position, and Vlad ended his turn.

Beryll drew, giving a dead-eyed stare aimed at Tomahawk. "I summon Mine Golem in Attack Mode. Then, I use it and Pilgrim of the Ice Barrier to create the Overlay Network." Once more, a bright red portal opened up on the ground and the two spheres of light shot down into it. "Rise, Kachi Kochi Dragon." A large rock covered dragon roared as it made its appearance onto the scene.

"Then, I turn my Revival Golem to Attack Position." The gooey rock beast moaned uncomfortably as it moved itself into position.

"Now, Kachi Kochi Dragon, attack Mac's monsters." The dragon charged, swinging massive clawed hands.

Aya is now back watching Vlad's match.

"C'mon Vlad! You can beat him!"

"Many thank yous, tovarish Aya!" Vlad called back. "Once silly game finish, we go back to asking Mister Battering Ram questions."

Kachi Kochi Dragon's claws rent Wandering Doomed asunder, with only a mist of pixels to indicate that it was once there. Beryll pointed at Mac's face-down monster. "Now, by detaching an Xyz Material from Kachi Kochi Dragon after he destroys a monster by battle, he can attack again. Destroy Mac's face-down monster."

The rocky dragon roared and devoured one of the browny-orange spheres that flew around it as it leaped at the face-down monster.

"Very well, you little ghoul. Now, Tiras, Keeper of Genesis attacks your facedown!"

The angelic XYZ attacked the next facedown, a slash wave seemingly made of energy rushing right at it.

Dave glared at his fellow derisively.

You had better have a plan. I'm not carrying all of this on my own shoulders...

The face-down monster momentarily revealed itself as Cloudian - Sheep Cloud, before being struck down by the angelic warrior. In its place, two fluffy clouds grinned at Naoto.

Cloudian Tokens: 0DEF (x2 Multiplier!!)

Mac didn't react as the small skeleton was torn asunder, but when the face-down was ripped into pieces, he grinned devilishly.

"Thanks for that. See, that face-down was a little card called Pumprincess the Princess of Ghosts. Now, ridiculous names aside, since it was destroyed and set to my grave, it comes back as a Continuous Spell!" The ground in front of him cracked, and a small pumpkin wearing a tiara that could almost be called cute pulled itself out, before rooting firmly into the ground. "Now, it doesn't really do anything at the moment, so that's all for now."

Beryll seemed rather unimpressed. "Revival Golem, crush his last monster." The massive mud monstrosity meandered menacingly towards the zombified clown. It raised its fist and crashed down on the opposing bony warrior.

"With that, I end my turn."

Mac nodded as the second skeleton went down, before two more skeletons pulled themselves out of the ground as the turn ended. (2x Fire Reaper DEF: 500) "Of course, let's not forget about my Human-Wave Tactics trap now, shall we?" He drew a card from his deck, and frowned, before adding it to his hand.

"Of course, first things first. During the Standby Phase, my Pumprincess gains a Pumpkin Counter." The little creature wiggled, and started to glow a faint orange-ish color. (Pumprincess Pumpkin Counters: 1) "And now all of your monsters lose 100 Attack and Defense for each Counter it has. But let's not worry about that yet, shall we?"

He held up a single card, and grinned broadly. "Let's have some fun now! I play Tri-Wight!" He slapped the card down onto his disk, and his graveyard slot glowed, ejecting three cards which he deftly grabbed and placed on his Disk.

"Time to say hello to some old friends who are looking for a bit of revenge!" Three zombified clowns emerged from the ground, all chuckling menacingly. (3x Clown Zombie DEF: 0)

"I end my battlephase, which results in my Tiras activating his effect, destroying your other Cloudian Squall."

Once again, the card's effect activated, the Cloudian Squall representation exploding after glowing for a second.

Anabella felt strength, she felt confidence, and above all, she felt satisfaction as the flowery knight retreated with a flash before her.

"Go ahead and run, Galaxy Queen lackey. We shall see where your grace carries you the next time we meet." She said as she tucked her newly acquired Number card into her Extra Deck. Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja. It wasn't a card that would be easily accessible in a duel, but its powers as a Number would serve her well.

She extended her right arm, and a bright shining winged steed materialized beside her. She climbed on, and they soared to the skies. Flying to the top of the rim, Sky Pegasus beneath her dissipated as she landed on the roof of the highest gondola. From there, she observed for the first time the duels below here.

"Let us see just what our companions can do."

And Aya has found more ice cream and is eating it happily while watching the duels.

The ghoul trio looked unimpressed. "Continue," said Beryll, waving dismissively.

"Well then, I end my turn. Take your turn, creature."

With that, the last sphere rotating around Tiras vanished.

Mac grinned, and threw his hand into the air as the two bow-wielding skeletons dissolved into dark purple blobs of energy and dove into a glowing red spiral in the ground. "Then I shall build the overlay network, and overlay my two level two Fire Reapers! I Xyz Summon Gachi Gachi Gantetsu!" The spiral collapsed in on itself, before expanding outward to release something new.

A creature reminiscent of a stone golem emerged from the now fading glow, with iron bands attached to it's body in various places. It knelt, projecting an aura of stability and strength across the field. (Gachi Gachi Gantetsu DEF: 1800) Two brown orbs of energy circled it.

"Of course, now that's not the real show, now is it? You want something....more." Mac grinned. It was not a nice grin. It was the kind of grin that you see on people who are on the verge of completely losing it. "Now....I overlay two of my level two Clown Zombies!" Another vortex formed, this one consisting of two overlapping vortexes that were made out of some kind of shimmering energy, looking similar to a galaxy. The two zombie clowns had dissolved into energy and flowed up into the portal, Mac's grin not wavering in the slightest. "I call the bringer of justice and vengeance to cleanse this world of all wrong! I Xyz Summon Number 65: Judge Buster!"

The vortex exploded, and from it descended an object resembling a key, or some sort of dagger. It split apart, changing in form and shape until it became a purple and gold figure, holding two large red blades. Near it's right shoulder was emblazoned the number 65. (Number 65: Judge Buster ATK: 1300)

"Of course, now my Gachi Gachi Gantetsu's effect comes into play, increase the Attack and Defense of all monsters on my side of the field by 200 for each Xyz Material it has! And since my allies count as being on my side of the field, their monsters get the boost as well!" The stone golem seemed to pulse with a quiet energy, empowering the monsters on the field. (Number 65: Judge Buster ATK: 1700) (Gachi Gachi Gantetsu DEF: 2200) (Clown Zombie DEF: 400)

Once again, the ghouls' eyes lit up at the appearance of yet another Number. Soon was the singular thought that consumed their being for a spit second. "We offer no objections to your plays," was Beryll's response, slightly more energized than she had been before.

Raine seemed as per usual, completely unimpressed. "I draw." The young boy seemed to have a fleeting grin before glaring at Naoto with foggy eyes that still held a edge of cold steel underneath. "I may be a ghoul and a child beforehand but underestimating me shows that you've got your head stuck in the clouds.

"I start by banishing Cloudian - Sheep Cloud from the Graveyard to special summon Cloudian - Storm Dragon to the field." An enormous cloud shaped like a dragon roared in rage at Naoto, the sound of thunder exploding all around them. "Then I summon Cloudian - Atlus in Attack Mode." Another being of clouds descended from the skies, this one noticeably more humanoid albeit a massively bloated human.

Raine gave a dead and empty smile. "Now the fun can begin. When I summon Cloudian - Atlus to the field, he gets a Fog Counter for every Cloudian monster on the field. Since there are two Cloudian Tokens, Storm Dragon, and Atlus, that makes four Fog Counters." Atlus took a deep breath in as fog condensed around it. "Then, Storm Dragon gets his time in the sun. Or rather, ensure that you never see it again. I add another Fog Counter to Atlus." The fog grew thicker around the yellow cloud being.

"Now time for to drown out the sun. I activate my Trap card, Updraft." A huge gust of wind blew through the area and created a cyclone of fog that slammed into Naoto. "It removes all Fog Counters from the field to deal 300 damage per counter removed. That's 1800 damage."

Naoto just looked on, looking completely unphased as the updraft hit him, and reduced him from 4000 to 2200.

"Go on."

Mac nodded, and pointed at the Dream Clown on the Buddy Ghoul's field. "Now, Judge Buster delivers judgement on that clown of yours!" The monster's blades grew in size, and it leaped at the hapless monster, blades slicing and dicing. The Clown Zombie watched in glee, giggling at it's living counterpart's plight.

Buddy grinned, eyes glinting beneath the make-up. "Not so fast; I activate my Quick-Play Spell: Book of Eclipse." A card before Buddy revealed itself as a redish book. "Now all monsters on the field are flipped face-down." The book opened up and shadows flew out to frighten all the monsters on the field.

Raine did, in fact, continue. "I then create an Overlay Network using my Cloudian - Storm Dragon and Cloudian - Atlus." The two cloud creates coalesced into bright blue spheres of energy before entering a red portal at Raine's feet. "Xyz Summon: Fairy Cheer Girl." A blue winged fairy appeared from the explosive portal swinging her yellow pom-poms gleefully.

"Now I activate the effect of Fairy Cheer Girl. By detaching an overlay material, I can draw one card." The draw was quick and succinct, with Raine's clouded eyes giving nothing away. "I set a card and end my turn."

"Not so fast!" Vlad said, flipping over his face-down trap. "Is time for great Russian tradition. DARK BRIBE!"

Buddy scowled as he drew a card from Dark Bribe's effect. The shadows quickly retreated back into the book as it exploded into a large cloud of pixels, allowing Judge Buster to continue its attack and cut down Dream Clown.

Buddy's LP: 4000 -> 3400

"Is that all?" Buddy's grin was off-putting, as you'd expect of a possessed clown that wants to essentially steal your soul.

Mac slapped two cards onto his disk, matching Buddy smile for smile.

"Two face-down should do it, I think. A monster and another."

"To start, I sacrifice Tiras to summon Sphere of Chaos."

Tiras glowed and quickly vanished, and was replaced by an incredibly eerie sphere simply floating there (1600/0)

"Now I use his effect to add a Garbage Ogre to my hand. Any responses?"
