What "Pop Culture" was demonized in your day?

I haven't been able to take that show seriously since the "Arcade Fire won the Grammys" thing few years ago.

Talk shows, or as I like to call them: "The-pot-calling-the-kettle-back" shows.

Hoo boy, where do I start...

Back when I was in the 7th Grade, my Middle School banned Pokemon... Not just banned it; completely DISOWNED it. I had a wardrobe that 75% of it consisted of merc from said franchise... It pained me to have to give up all my Pokemon shirts. (I only remember of two shirts, though.)

But they didn't stop there... They banned video games, next... You couldn't even say MARIO without being sent to the Principal's Office! They even banned South Park, anime, Nicktoons, even MICKEY MOUSE got banned!

I know this thread probably meant elsewise, but nowadays I'd say that modern culture demonizes reality television, as well as tween-based music, such as Bieber. =|

The people who think he's the worst-thing-ever-because-his-singing-sucks. In general if tween girls like it, the rest of the population kinda hates it. It's quite fascinating.
