So on the latest review. I've never heard anyone dislike home alone 2. I've heard people say it's not as good as the first, which seems pretty universal. But Doug's premise that it's a divisive movie? At least not in the circles I grew up in....
Also small reaction to Doug talking about the plane scene with the "French" Guy
"Why is the guy still talking? He knows Kevin doesn't speak french"
Doug, going by the guy's accent, neither does the "Frenchman" :-P

Whew! The cameo reference only took up like a minute!
Couldn't help but groan at the fact that Doug didn't get that Kevin's "How exciting" line was meant to be in sarcasm.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationKevin's supposed to be way wise and deadpan for his age, so I think he's supposed to be acting non-emotive.
Also, I never thought Kevin was doing an Aside Glance in that scene. I always thought he was looking at the other passengers to spot more of his family.
As for why the french guy continues talking even though he knows Kevin doesn't speak french, as somebody who works in an environment with many people who speak many different languages, I can vouch that people will gladly walk up to you and start talking to you in their language, knowing full well that you don't speak it.
Much in the same way an English person thinks if they speak slower, a person who speaks Cantonese will understand them better.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationThey won't?
Even among shared words?

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Shared words? Between English and Cantonese?
Optimism is a duty.I think he did get it, the problem was that sarcastic Kevin and excited Kevin sounded exactly the same.
Just a person. He/him.Urge to watch The Last Jedi ASAP...
...Rising.

Snoke is that one Jedi who was shot by Jango Fett in episode 2
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?I will see it right before New Year's. The hard part is holding off on watching the review until after!
x5 In general...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. It's 45 minutes but it flies by, unlike some of the longer NC episodes. It doesn't hurt that he didn't exactly hate the movie but was merely pointing out tons of oddities/plotholes. The skits were okay- I get what he was going for (parodying tense family reunions during the holidays) but they weren't as good as the movie commentary.
My favorite bits:
-Wondering if Kevin could bond with the "WATCH IT KID AHAHAHAHA!" homeless guy instead of Brenda Fricker.
-"Currified" counter with "WHA-HA!" sound byte
-Trump telling Kevin, "Grab 'em by the pussy." The joke's probably been done before this but I still laughed.
-"Jesus Christ, he has a gun! Shit just got real!"
-Contrasting everyone excited to see Kevin in the first movie with [SNORE] in the second.
-"You little sh-" "Show of emotion?"
-Wondering what Bony Bob looks like

The skit reminded me of that Thanksgiving commercial giving advice on what topics to avoid at Thanksgiving dinner.
Optimism is a duty."Home Alone 2" only has a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes, so I can see why some people wouldn't like it. Okay, the original only has a 62%, but that's still a lot lower.
I enjoy the second one and it was interesting for him to point out the things that hold up. My favorite joke was when he said Macaulay Culkin was one of the few celebrities who hadn't been accused of sexual assault. That's become so insane it has to be mentioned.
Reminds me of that Seinfeld joke where Jerry asks George why he's watching Home Alone, since he already saw Home Alone 2 and hated it.
"I hadn't seen the first one. I was lost."
He did. he was commenting on Kevin's dull surprise in the rest of the movie.
During the last night's Charity Drive, it was revealed what theme month we would get in January: none. Instead, the theme month will from now on occur in March. In 2018, the theme will be Disney live-action remakes, with reviews of The Jungle Book (2016), Beauty and the Beast (2017), and maybe Pete's Dragon (2016) or Alice Through the Looking Glass or Maleficent.

Is it me, or are a lot of reviewers coordinating reviews lately? I've seen several separate channel go over Jumani and Home Alone 2 in the past week or so, for example.
Optimism is a duty.same hear cinemasins just released a video on home alone 2.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?Jumanji is understandable
Home Alone 2 is more a coincidence
If the goal was to portray an awkward dinner with the relatives on Christmas, wouldn't it help if they were at a dinner table instead of a coffee table and couches?
I'm gonna watch Jedi thursday.
Optimism is a duty.
